I upgraded to the Caesar salad, and also ordered a side of KFC, or Korean fried Chicken for those of you in the know. Let me tell you something about that. KFC, absolutely delicious! How can you go wrong with fried chicken thighs with Korean BBQ sauce? You can't, that's what I'm telling you! The brisket sandwich was really really good, albeit just a tad dry. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. They have gorgeous dining rooms, lounges, private meeting rooms and a room on the top floor called "Club 77" with a fully stocked bar and billiard/snooker table. The building was built in the 1800s. A lot of the original hardwood is still there. Each room is beautifully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern art. My favorite room is the "Crystal Room" for dining. The chandeliers are breathtaking, especially when the sunlight from the window hits them. The general manager, Archie, could not possibly be nicer. He is so friendly and truly happy to see returning patrons. He is always willing to give a brief, but informative, tour of the building to our guests. He knows everything there is to know about the history of the club. The Club has several member events each year. My favorites are Lobster Night, Pasta Night, and the Wine Festival event. The food is always made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The wine and desserts are also phenomenal! Finally, the service is flawless. The servers are polite and personable. I would definitely recommend this club to anybody looking to join a professional, but down to earth country club. We only had time to stay for one drink, but had a good time, the beer was great and we had a good chat with the bartender. Very frequently and welcoming. We only wish we'd had a time to go back and try some other beers. Hopefully we will get a chance to return one day
