If I could give less than one star, I would. We stood by the front door for seven minutes while multiple servers and bartenders walked right past us without acknowledging us. I even tried asking a bartender if we should seat ourselves, but he ignored us and walked away as if he couldn't hear. He later returned with another server, who finally told us someone would be with us shortly. We were eventually seated at a table that was dirty and wet. After I asked for it to be cleaned, we ordered dinner--only to realize water was dripping from the ceiling onto our table, likely from a leaking pipe or roof. I've since filed a report with the health department. Throughout our meal, we were literally being dripped on. When we mentioned it to our server, she giggled and said, "Oh, that's why this table was closed." Clearly, they already knew about the leak and still chose to seat our family there. To make matters worse, the hostess later came over smirking and offered to move us--but by then, we were already finished eating. We then waited another 15 minutes just to get the bill. We paid a full bill. No manager came to apologize. There was no discount or any offerings for us sitting at a dripping table. The experience was extremely disappointing. read more

August 30th I was craving feta spinach dip. I compared different restaurants offerings and decided to try Chuck's. via Uber Eats. What a disaster! I ordered the spinach/feta dip and garlic pan bread. The bread was mediocre and the dip??? Disgusting, runny, cold and bland watery tasting. Not to mention charging 16.00 for a meager and trifling amount. Barely 4 ounces and I am being generous at that. I will NEVER order from there again. I ended up waking during the night to puke and crap my guts out! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE! I love Chucks don't get me wrong and I do know the prices are set by the smart people ( who) at head office. I go to Chucks twice a week as where can you get a great burger and to large 18 oz pints for under 20 bucks. Absolutely nowhere so Chucks pricing is out of this world cheap. You cant expect gourmet food at those prices but most of the selections like burgers wings and fries food like that is a bargain along with decent service by the waitresses and bartenders.. Buuuuut......they get you on the small things at this restaurant . Perfect example is Burger and Fries which is always delicious is only 9 dollars ( Crazy I know cheaper than McDonalds). Don't do what I did. I ordered a Cheeseburger ( OUCH). They charge an extra $4.49 for a slice of subpar extremely thin processed 2 cent piece of cheese bring that 9 dollar burger to $13.49 for a cheeseburger ( yes that's still cheap to other restaurant standard pricing but come on people). I couldn't even notice this cheese on the burger it was so thin and dissipated. Cmon, I know they are trying to get back some of the funds they lose on the cheap food and beer their but I am sure there are other ways of doing it instead of charging $.4.49 for a piece of cheese. Really leaves a bad taste in your mouth about the restaurant. I recommend if you know prior that you are going to a Chucks and you want a burger I suggest you take a slice of cheese out of that $3.99 24 pack in your frig and just toss on your burger when it delivered. 0star. Pissy!!!! Men's washroom urinals leak they don't fix them. Been a regular in town since September 2023 coming 4 days a week, out of town for work. Today I was given wings without sauce told I can add sauce on my own. Done. We tried to dine here a few Fridays ago and, unfortunately, had an experience that ensures we won't be returning. All of our previous visits have been enjoyable, with good food, reasonable prices, and excellent service. However, this time was entirely different. When we arrived, we were greeted by a new staff member, based on the fact that we had never seen her there from our many visits inthe past. Things went downhill quickly after she led us to a table in the middle of the step-down section of the restaurant. We politely asked for one of the many open booths around the restaurant instead, something we've done many times before without issue. Her attitude immediately shifted becoming unexpectedly rude and dismissive. Instead of accommodating our simple request, she walked us back to the front door and demanded that we "wait here" before walking away to chat with coworkers near the kitchen entrance. To make matters worse, they all stood there and stared at us while talking, making us uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I inquired about the many open booths in the restaurant, she claimed they were ALL unavailable because the server assigned to that entire section was "outside on break"--in the middle of a light snowstorm, no less. The lack of professionalism and poor attitude were unacceptable. We ended up just leaving and going to Jack Astor's down the road. The food was equally good, if not better, and the service from our server, Amanda, was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and professional. She clearly understood the value of excellent customer service. Chuck's has lost our business. Hiring employees with diverse backgrounds is admirable (East Indian descent) but if they cannot deliver the level of service your customers expect, it reflects poorly on your establishment. Allowing staff to be dismissive and unprofessional, while leaving customers standing around, waiting and feeling uncomfortable, will and now has driven business away. I hope management takes note because this kind of service is unacceptable, and there are plenty of alternatives nearby that understand the importance of treating customers with respect. read more

Sports on the screen, families welcome. A group had a birthday cake. Clean washrooms. Unfortunately I didn't remember to look for a baby changing station. We had a booth table. Menu had lots of variety but we were in the mood for the steak! Each of us had a 10oz steak which came with buttered corn in a little dish and crisp delicately seasoned fries. We had 1 Medium, 2 were medium rare, and 1 rare. Wonderful grilled flavour and tender deliciousness - wonderful seasoning including rosemary. So so good! Haven't seen prices like this for steak in too long! One of us had the Toffee Bread Pudding which came with vanilla icecream and candied pecans. Pillowy soft and melted in the mouth! For lunch service, 1205pm, I ordered a rib-eye steak, rare, with onion rings. The first time food came iut, the steak was just straight up raw with a crust. It wasnt even blue. So naturally asked for it to be cooked more, no need for a new steak. When they brought out the meal 2nd time, they microwaved the onion rings to reheat. The inside of the rings was mushy and wrong. Service was service, nice, friendly, not so prompt but now hovering over us. Overall, meh for food if youre desparate, would not recommend this place to friends, definitely enemies. read more

So disappointed with this restaurant and new pricing/menu and quality. A $2 charge now to substitute a baked potato for french fries. A $3.99 charge to add cheese to your burger. Draft specials are more limited. My french fries arrived cold and my steak had so much pepper it was not edible. This must happen a lot because the server replied that what they usually just do is scrape the spices off and refry it. Really"? A rare steak? Yep. So that's what they did and returned with the same french fries (now colder) and the same steak( now medium cooked). But it didn't really matter - because as it turned out the steak was sinewy and too chewy to eat. BUT they still added that annoying "good and plenty tax" without compensation for inedible food. First off, I had never heard of this franchise before. Mores the pity. When they opened up it was a surprise. They have a $20 steak and lobster special on so we decided to give them a try. It was a Thursday night at 5:15 pm and they were busy. Parking lot was full and people were parking on the street. We got seated right away and our waitress came to us with 1 minute. She was friendly, funny and just a sweetheart. Took our drink order right away and was back in 1 1/2 minutes with it. Made recommendations to our meal too. We both ordered the steak&lobster special with an all you can eat side salad(fresh fresh fresh) and I opted for an upgrade to a baked potato with butter & sour cream(extra 1.59 to the meal price) Meal came and was great. Steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster was moist and delicious. Only downside was the corn on the cob. It was overcooked and watery. No big loss though. Their prices are wonderful and their daily specials are fantastic. Great value for your money, and their portions are generous. Dinner for two with drinks and add ons.... $70 Not bad for a steak & lobster meal. Going back next week and will update. read more

They didn't clear our table for the app plates and brought more plates putting a hot gravy bowl in front of a baby . This restaurant is nice for a kids birthday party. Never for a formal dinner with your family. Service is very slow. If you need a refill you might as well just bring your own drinks from home. my steak was as hard as a rock. My child's chicken tenders weren't even edible. Only good food here is the corn on the cob. The restaurant it's self has a nice environment. Prices are cheap but food isn't great.Wouldn't recommend the calamari. We went to dinner at Chuck's on Sunday Feb. 23/20 to celebrate my stepdad's 80th birthday! We were on a bit of a time schedule but nothing too tight we walked in and it didn't seem that busy. I took a couple minutes to be seated not a problem got to our table at work at least 10 minutes before the waitress came over to ask us what we wanted to drink and take our order. She ran by us a couple times saying she would be right back. I was getting rather impatient but we were there for her birthday so we waited. Fast forward to getting our meals we all had the surf and turf my stepdad had a baked potato what he had asked for extra butter, no sour cream he did not receive any side of butter. The waitress never came back to ask us if we wanted our drinks refilled or to ask how the meal was! I had to get up from the table and look for some butter. Prior to receiving our meal I had to gotten up to go find the waitress once again, to ask her if she could do something special for my stepdad's birthday! She promptly told me it's not free and we're too busy to sing! Which I don't really have a problem with.. I just wanted a little something with a candle in it! Anyway like I said we never saw the waitress again after our meals were dropped off! I finally flagged her down and said we have to go I need the bill.. I forgot to tell her not to bother with the birthday dessert again I had to get up from the table to go find her, when I found her she had a bill in her hand already and had forgotten about the birthday dessert anyways! Went to Chuck's a few weeks ago with a few friends to watch the Leafs and Raptors game in their bar area. Great big tvs for watching the game, the beer was good and we were planning on ordering some food. Unfortunately, the sound from the game broadcast coming from the speakers above us were so very loud that it was hard to have a conversation. When the waitress asked us for our food order, we explained that we were going somewhere else because of the sound. She wasn't fazed by it, said OK and brought us our bill for our drinks. It surprised us that she did not offer to turn down the sound (how anyone could talk in the bar area was beyond us) so we would stay and order food. Was broadcasting the game that loud more important than keeping customers happy and ordering food and more drinks? I suppose it was. read more
