Cookie Monster with chocolate ice cream

This is such a cute shop! My husband and I were in the neighborhood when we stumbled upon it and I'm glad that we did! I ordered the Cookie Monster with chocolate ice cream. The ice cream itself was yummy, the bubble waffle was really interesting, the cherry on top was the Cookie Crisp cereal! The amount of nostalgia I felt with every bite was surreal. Now, I am HUGE on customer service. I wish I had gotten the name of the lady behind the counter. She was super warm, super sweet, super welcoming. Customer service makes or breaks an entire experience for me; and the customer service here was amazing. The atmosphere is super cute. I just wanted to snap a photo of every single corner!

Strawberry Cheesecake Bubble Waffle with Birthday Cake Ice Cream and Cheesecake Bites

I never thought I'd love bubble tea as much as I do now. They have the best flavors for tea, ice cream, smoothies. You name it they got it! So far I've had their dragon fruit bubble tea and the strawberry cheesecake bubble waffle and they are both soooo good! They are always up to date with their decor, very clean, quick service and the staff are nice and friendly. What more could you ask for?!? If you're looking for a treat go to Somethin Sweet!

There wasn't much room for our group of 5 and with the table on the left and a refrigerator near the door, we were pretty much squeezed in while waiting and trying to make room as others were trying to get by us. We had to wait outside and come back. The wait was about 30 minutes, which we didn't mind. Once we got seated, our server was friendly and the food was definitely worth the wait. The portions were pretty big too. The only downside was that my friend's burger was undercooked. She ordered it medium well, but it looked closer to medium rare, so she ended up not eating about half of it. I ordered the focaccia chicken sandwich, and it was delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. I also had the hibiscus oolong peach tea, which I really enjoyed because it wasn't overly sweet.

Menu options were different, I actually love it. We were seated immediately without reservations on a Saturday morning. We ordered the weekend brunch menu specials- potato with smoked salmon and the burger special. Both were delicious and flavorful! Parking-? there's municipal parking lot just a block away. Definitely my new fave spot in West New York, NJ!

I…read morehave come here multiple times when I have been in a sweet and savory mood and each time has been great! Food Ordered - Samoa Pancakes - These pancakes were a special the restaurant had for the month and they tasted identical to a delicious Samoa Girl Scout cookie. The fluffy pancakes came with a generous serving of coconut flakes and mini chocolate chips on the top which paired excellent with the pancakes. - California Omelette - The California Omelette comes with avocado, bacon, tomato's, and sour cream. I asked for no sour cream) The omelette was HUGE, definitely great for sharing. The omelette was fluffy and filled with the perfect amount of bacon. The avocado and tomato on top were very fresh. - Eggs & Bacon - Eggs and bacon are a classic combo to order. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon was thick and salty. The eggs and bacon came with sour dough toast and potato's.

My son really enjoyed his chicken sausage, egg and cheese sandwich with whole fried potatoes and a short snack of chocolate chip pancakes. I enjoyed my baby of course along with it. I ordered the huevos rancheros that were labeled that spicy, but it was not spicy at all. it really needed more beans and the dish overall was just lacking flavor. It was more refreshing than savory or warm. We both got fresh juices. Both were delicious and the service was great attentive welcoming, and we were seated within half an hour of waiting in line after 10:30 AM on a Saturday. We may have been seated earlier, but I don't recall exactly when we started waiting in line. If you are a party bigger than two they have a separate line which may be a longer wait but it's more of a waitlist line. Whereas the other line is you waiting in line when you get seated as tables become available for parties of one or two people. Ambience is pretty laid-back and relaxed. There is parking at the main level of this plaza but also there is a parking garage below with more parking spots available.

When I first walked in, I didn't even see the bar, so I asked Sophia about it. She asked for my phone number, which they use to look you up on Resy. A few seconds later, she said, "Reggie." I was like, "How do you know my name?" That's when she explained it. I thought that was pretty cool. At first, you might think it's mainly a dining spot, but once you get to the back, there's a beautiful two-level area that feels rich, classy, and upscale while still being laid-back. It's definitely giving "meet me after work" date vibes. I asked if they had a happy hour menu, and thankfully they did because I'm on a budget lol. I started with the gin flight, which was recommended by the bartender, I believe his name was Spencer. He also recommended the crispy pickled artichoke, which was definitely different. It was probably the most interesting dish I've had in a while. It was a little leafy, and honestly, biting into it felt like eating a moist filled flower that was slightly dried out. Very different, but in a good way! Now, the gin martini flights... I knew from the first sip I was going to be nice! Hands down, one of the best drinks I've had in NYC for $12 during happy hour. You really don't need another drink after that one. You could have another, but trust me you're already there. Definitely worth it! The tuna tartare wasn't my favorite. I've definitely had better. They give you a generous portion, but the tuna was cut a little too chunky for my taste and was slightly bland. I actually wish they had mixed that side sauce directly into the tartare because it would have made it more flavorful, moist, and easier to put on the bread. So, I probably wouldn't order the tuna tartare again, but I would absolutely go back for that bread! They even brought out a postcard with the bread on it along with the receipt, and of course, I had to keep it. Overall, the ambience was fabulous, the drinks were a 10/10, and the food definitely has me wanting to coming back.

We started with the pull apart bread which comes in 3 flavor options (1. Herb & butter 2. Honey and butter 3. Garlic and parm) we went with the honey & butter. It was the softest, warmest, most savory and sweet bread I've ever had. If for nothing else, make it here for the bread. I also got the steak tartare, which was fresh and fragrant. Joe got the spinach artichoke dip, which was some of the best spin-art we've both ever had. For my entree I had the maison signature cheesesteak and Joe got his classic steak frite. My cheesesteak was delicious, and the bread was fresh and crispy. I was already too full off pull-apart bread, so I ended up taking my sandwich mostly to go. Joe's ribeye was cooked to perfection and if you don't know, the man loves a hand-cut fry. It was my birthday, so even tho I was full, I had to order dessert. This place is known for many things including their 24 layer cakes. They had coconut cake as well as a pickle cake (yup, pickle) but I stuck with classic chocolate. Trying to figure out what angle to come at it with was quite a challenge, but one I happily took on. We are already planning our next trip back, and it couldn't come quicker!
