    Bubble tea
    Grace S.

This was a very cute speakeasy. I enjoyed my time mostly for the ambiance, and less for the food and service. It's not that it wasn't good, but for a Thai restaurant I did expect a full Thai menu, like a basic pad Thai at least. Also, the waitress didn't seem too knowledgeable about the menu or establishment, but she could have just been new. Now I did enjoy the fact we could DJ our own music and sing our hearts out. There were also plenty of card games for us to play at the table. The bubble tea was so good we had to order twice, second round without ice, because it just went so fast. The food was delicious and tasty, but the menu is truly only scratching the surface of Thai food for me. Still loved the experience!

Got to try some mochi doughnuts from here and they were amazing! The strawberry and vanilla flavors were both really good, with perfect chewy consistency.

We came here for dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was cute and beautifully decorated, and we were surprised to enter the Speakeasy through a telephone booth! The atmosphere in the speakeasy was fun and relaxed. Our server allowed us to recommend songs and we were invited to sing karaoke. Our server was so kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I ordered the strawberry soju, cheeseburger spring rolls, and red curry with shrimp. Both the drinks and food were delicious! This is a perfect place to have dinner with friends!

Celebrated my 30th birthday as a private event at the 222 Speakeasy, and it was soooo much fun!! Everyone had a great time, and the mochi donuts were one of the best I've had in the city! We had karaoke, a boba bar, and I ordered appetizers for my party. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about the food, drinks, and the super cute venue. The bartenders were absolutely amazing 10/10. Bri was so attentive, and she even karaoke'd with me! Everyone was so accommodating from planning the event to making sure the event ran smoothly the day of. I only recommend that staff works on streamlining communication to ensure that all details and pricing are confirmed by both parties. The owner gave me their work number to text, which was convenient, but it was somewhat difficult keeping track of all the details. They were extremely flexible with the planning process otherwise. Overall: 4.5/5, definitely recommend booking a party here if you are considering. Just give yourself adequate time in advance to plan and finalize details with the staff. Thank you Mochi Dolci for making my 30th birthday unforgettable! :)

Cute fun sweets place! Fun little shop with delicious mochi donuts, I enjoyed the pandan and sesame flavors the best, not overly sweet!

I felt drawn to come here to try the mochi donuts the night before my early morning flight out of New York. These were the mochi donuts I got: Lychee and pearls Lemon with fruity pebbles Taro Pandan This spot is SO CUTE AND PRETTY. Oh and don't let the small space fool you. This is a SPEAKEASY. Go through the pink telephone booth and there's a SPEAKEASY BAR named 222 Speakeasy. A bubble tea and mochi donut and Asian street snack speakeasy? OMG WHAT IS THIS?? I LOVE YOU NEW YORK. Walking through the phone booth, I was instantly enchanted by the beautiful sets and decor. I was fortunate to be there for happy hour, and got chicken skewers and bourbon taro bubble tea The bartender/waiter, Mad, was really nice and nerded out over tattoos and anime with me. I loved Mochi Dolci and the 222 Speakeasy. I'm SO HAPPY I stopped by here TLDR: I was just there for mochi donuts and a lychee bubble tea drink, but then I fell down the rabbit hole of discovering there's a speakeasy in the back with alcoholic bubble tea and Asian street snacks.

What a fun night! If you were passing by Mochi Dolci and its pastel pink exterior, you would never know that this cute mochi donut and boba tea shop is home to a speakeasy (222 Speakeasy) in the back of the restaurant! I was told by my group to meet up here - that karaoke was happening! This was around midnight on a Thursday. It is walking distance from multiple hotels on the Upper West Side, and you can't miss it. Upon entering, the shop was, of course, dead. Not sure where I was going, I walked to the back and walked straight into the space behind the bar - whoops!! I exited and entered this time instead through a pink, classic. telephone booth! This was so cute - a dark room with lots of artificial cherry blossoms hanging and cute velvet seating. Karaoke was going strong with this large group! I believe around 25+ fit easily. The bartender was super friendly but because this was a larger group, drinks were a little slow. I ordered the Boozy Bourbon Taro Bubble Tea: Earthy taste of Bourbon with the earthy taste of Taro. Tapioca Boba included! I can't find pricing but I feel like it was $20+. I thought the flavors were paired very well and it was a decadent dessert for me to end the night. If you have a sweet tooth, you will enjoy this and any of the other boozy boba drinks. My friend had the Strawberry Soju which is a popular menu item, and she really enjoyed it! We were a rowdy group but the bartender was extremely accommodating and told us that as long as we were here, he'd keep the place open. We ended the night around 2 am. Upon leaving, a few of us were the last to exit, and I had one friend who was determined to get a last shot. None of us were for this, so the bartender, picking up on the vibe, gave the three of us a free soju shot (which is extremely light and not a true shot). I thought that was extremely cool of him given he probably couldn't wait to clean up! Thank you, 222 Speakeasy and Mochi Dolci! What a memorable experience.

Mochi Dolci is an incredibly cute bubble tea spot on the UWS. My family and I were taking an evening walk in our old neighborhood and wanted some bubble tea. Mochi Dolci was the closest with good reviews so we decided to stop in and try it. The atmosphere is very cute and the woman behind the counter who I believe is the owner was very kind and friendly. She made the boba fresh! She also offers many other delights like mochi donuts. If you continue to walk through to the telephone booth in the back is a small soeakeasy that they have.

Jennifer S spoiled me and my family with an awesome box of mochinuts. You see, my family and I used to hunt down mochinut spots in Queens, so we were all delighted to see there was one on the UWS. They have one of the best cinnamon ones I've ever had - sure, it's simple, but it had a fluffy balance - and the pumpkin spice with maple was unique and perfectly seasonal. There was also a pink one - perhaps it was strawberry - that my daughter wouldn't give up a piece of. So that's an endorsement!

This is a very cute shop with cute pink exterior. In the front, they have donuts and bubble tea and a few tables. The atmosphere feels relaxing and quiet. I came after dinner and most of the donuts were sold out but I was able to get a cookie and cream mochi donut. The taste and texture is pretty standard for mochi donut. I have tried their bubble tea previously and it was pretty good as well, although a little pricy for the area. The most surprising thing is that there is a speakeasy in the back and you get there by going through a telephone booth. The speakeasy is atmospheric with a bar and a few tables. They had an alcohol menu which includes a boozy bubble tea as well as food. I did not get to try the food or alcohol this time but would love to come back for that. They told us that every Thursday night they have mahjong night, and there are various other events throughout the week as well.

Cute little boba and small bites shop in UWS. I think the main allure is how pretty the shop looks and that there is plenty of seating available inside. It's the type of place to stop in with friends or your family, relax, and take cute pictures if you are in the area. You can order at the register or via tablet at the front of the store. The tablet has some kinks that need to be worked out - there's a few parts that don't seem like they work, like inputting a table number, printing receipts, or providing you a copy of your order number. The boba is OK - it's made with powder/syrups. It's not customizable except for the size of the cup. I got the "medium" sized brown sugar boba for $6, but there's a small size available for $3. It seems like a nice option for kids or if you don't have a big appetite. There are some small bites available to order: fried chicken, corn dogs, mochi donuts... I didn't try any but the prices looked fine. Seems like a fun place to stop by if you're already in the area.

This new mochi donut and boba shop in the UWS recently had their soft opening last weekend. Mochi Dolci is in the old space formerly occupied by Kefi, a now defunct Greek restaurant. While there are other spots in this neighborhood to get boba/bubble tea, this might be the first for mochi donuts. The exterior and interior space are aesthetically pleasing and very IG worthy. The interior décor is overly whimsical with its peach/pink walls, flower selfie walls and neon lights, and definitely stands out in this neighborhood. The owner is so incredibly nice and took time to chat with us on our first visit. And on our second visit we felt like we were friends visiting. I'm not sure when they will be fully opened for indoor dining; we went yesterday, and it looks like they still had some small construction work happening. Their menu is small right now and consists of six varieties of boba drinks, rotating flavors of mochi donuts, Korean corn dogs, and strawberry Bingsu. I'm sure they will continue to add more when they finally have their grand opening. You can place your order at the counter, at the kiosk by the entrance or by downloading their app and placing it there. During our visits we've tried their Taro the Tiger Boba Tea and Black Sugar Boba. Unlike other boba shops, we weren't given the option of customizing the sugar and ice levels. Not sure if this is because they are still working out the kinks and if this option is available on their kiosk. The Black Sugar Boba was a wee bit too sweet for me and the Taro Boba was not sweet enough. I did enjoy the boba pieces itself and wished they had put more in the drinks. We have also tried their mochi donuts and have gotten the pandan, strawberry and chocolate flavors. The mochi donuts here are very fluffy and had a nice chew. I enjoyed the pandan flavor best as it had a hint of pandan and coconut. If you are in the neighborhood with the family, definitely check this place out. I think kids and teens especially would appreciate this place.

The pacing of the meal for the quantity of food received seemed very rushed, and we didn't really have a chance to relax and enjoy any of the courses. However, the quality of the experience was a complete disaster particularly for the price. Clearly, the packed restaurant would disagree, but for the four of us anyway, we would not return. It started with the check in process at what felt like a long hotel front desk with multiple, self important hosts and hostesses overseeing your entrance to the cavernous bar/waiting area. One problem is the noise is so deafening that you can't really hear what they say to you but we check in a few minutes early and waited obediently in the bar area chatting. After about 30 minutes (15 after our reservation time), and watching numerous parties large and small who arrived after us be seated by the hostesses wandering through the dimly lit space who peer quizzically and ask your name, my husband went to ask for an update. (We joked that those vibrating lighted buzzers alerting when your table was ready would have been super helpful, but it was amusing to watch while we waited). It was clear they somehow lost track of us as she had him repeatedly spell our (not unusual) name. Anyway, after that, within 10 minutes after that we were taken downstairs to our seats (but not before standing awkwardly in the large dining area near packed tables waiting while our table was cleaned). Server with a heavy accent was kind and mostly helpful so none of this is on him. The busser who managed to spill half a pitcher of cold water on my husband's back, soaking his shirt and jacket and barely apologizing, is a whole other story. We managed to get a glass of his mediocre Cabernet comped for the experience. If I sound annoyed, I guess I still am. I had high hopes for a fun and tasty experience in a cool part of the city and it just wasn't.

Triple Pork Fried Rice: The rice has a lot of depth and generous chunks of pork. The rice is thicker than regular jasmine with a more chew which I liked. Dragon Tail Spare Ribs: Although this has a nice flavor, handling with your fingers makes them super sticky for your whole dining experience. The restaurant should give out wet towelettes if this dish is ordered!! Meat was tender and easy to chomp off the bone. Tuna Tartare: A small quarter-sized tartare dollop is served atop a small cube bread. The fish was fresh, presentation was beautiful. Was hoping for more tartare for the price point but it was very good. Overall, the dish was not filling so would skip if the party is hungry. Lobster and Scallop Dumplings: Great flavor with reasonable chunks of meat inside. Just preferred the potstickers a lot more! Bok Choy: Pieces were chopped in half and cooked with a nice crunch. Topped with something that gave it more texture. The garlicy taste was forward (in a good way). Rainbow Roll: While it was fresh and the individual pieces were large in portion, this felt like any other sushi roll. Skip this! Side of White Rice is $9?! That's theft and is skippable The amount of food ordered was probably a little more than what we needed but glad we ordered as many as we did.

I especially loved how it was placed elevated above the floor -- it gave such a calming and respectful feeling. Even with the hustle and bustle, the place still felt relaxing and serene. As for the food, it was decent. We ordered a few different chicken dishes since we don't eat pork or fish, so our options were a bit limited. One thing that did make me feel uncomfortable was the hallway near the downstairs bathroom where a picture of a Buddhist monk in saffron robes was displayed. Personally, I felt it was not the most respectful placement. Overall, I still enjoyed the experience and would love to come back again to see the beautiful giant Buddha.

We ordered a lot of dishes including a whole fish.. all the classic Malaysian dishes and everything was fresh and definitely tastes like home. Wasn't too big a fan of their assam laksa (lacked a bit of flavour) but everything else was good. Staff were also really accommodating for all the kids and gave us the room in the back so we had a semi private area away from the other patrons. Usually come here during Chinese New Year for their Yee Sang but I think you just have to call to confirm they have it every year. It's a great place to get together with friends and family !

While the Roti Canei used to have full flavors of coconut milk, lemongrass and generous spices, the dish is now bland and boring, so much so that we did not finish it The satay tofu sauce was completely devoid of flavor and a weird thick gloopy texture. If this was the first time that happened, I would not be writing this, however this is the 2nd time and the lack of flavor was also an issue

Once you sit down you scan a QR Code to order your food and drinks. I was pretty hungry that day so we ended up ordering a ton of food. The drinks were pretty good and they were served in Le Creuset mugs. Not the biggest deal, but I can appreciate some nice drinkware. The bowl of Kimchi Fried rice came out first. It was a generous portion and the rice was cooked well, but I feel like it could've used some more kimchi. The eggs on top were cooked perfectly and added good texture to the dish. The next dish to come out was the HK French toast. The bread was nice and fluffy which paired well with a nice generous drizzle of condensed milk. I enjoyed this a lot. We also ordered scallion pancake, pork barbecue, and bossam baos. These were ok, I would probably pass on a return visit. I felt like the meat in the baos was a little tough though they did have decent flavor. The last entree was the smoked salmon and avocado croissant; I really enjoyed this. It had a generous helping of smoked salmon and avocado as well. The saltiness of the salmon paired well with the creamy and fatty avocado. The croissant was also nice and flaky. It was also served with a house salad which had a nice drizzle of dressing on it too. For dessert we ordered a Black Sesame Souffle Pancake. This was SO good. A few months ago I visited a place in Princeton that specialized in these Japanese-style pancakes and Tasty Junction's version was so much more enjoyable. I loved that it was served with a healthy scoop of ice cream. The pancake was airy and had a bounce to it. Each bite was so good and made even better with the ice cream. I'd definitely come back just for the pancakes. All in all Tasty Junction is a great spot tucked away in Glen Rock

The spring salad was delicious, and the chicken lettuce cups were amazing -- definitely a standout. The rock shrimp was also delicious, and both the fried rice and lo mein were very good. I wasn't a big fan of the fried dumplings; they didn't have much flavor in my opinion. I also ordered the filet mignon -- it looked more well-done when it came out, but it was actually cooked perfectly medium to medium-plus. Overall, a great experience with a few highlights and only a small miss.

I loved the decor, lighting, furniture, and music. It's very spacious, and I really liked that they have separate areas for dining, large groups, and if you want do hookah. Our server was great and tried to accommodate as best as he could. We were very disappointed with the food. I was bummed they were out of the oxtail eggrolls. The items we ordered lacked flavor and just didn't hit. We ordered the chicken satay, the peanut sauce was a bit too thick and in our opinion didn't compliment the chicken and the chicken tasted pretty greasy. I ordered the shrimp dumplings and really enjoyed those. I also ordered the sea bass. It was a bit bland and the rice that was served on the side was hard. My cousin enjoyed the spice kung pao chicken. For drinks, we ordered the sidecar and lychee martini. I thought my drink was pretty good. If I'm ever in the area again, I think I would try it again just to see if I didn't choose the right options.

She was raving about the Fish in Sand, which apparently she and I had at Tao in Vegas many moons ago (I did not recall). Given it was Vegas, my lack of memory was understandable. Well, we ordered it (again) NYC style and it was sensational. The textures and flavor were spot-on. We also enjoyed a Rainbow Roll, a Salmon Avocado Roll, and the Chicken Lollipops. It was the perfect amount of food considering we planned to bar-hop a bit afterward. It feels like a Saturday night here, regardless of the day of the week. We had a reservation and still weren't seated for another 30ish minutes despite the restaurant being pretty empty on a Sunday night. We finally got seated at 10:30 and I kid you not we didn't receive our food until midnight. Any time we asked our server for an update, she'd say 10 more mins and time would continue to pass, no food, no one checking in on our table. Once I finally got my food, I was so hungry that my stomach hurt, making it hard to eat. But I got the seafood fried rice and the crispy shrimp dumplings. The rice was okay, not a knockout like I expected but not bad. However the crispy shrimp dumplings were an absolute STAR! I could eat 2 dozen of them, and I'd return just for those. Pro: we notified the manager of our experience and they made sure to comp a few things and get us on the guest list at the night club I'd come back, just hoping for better and more attentive service.
