I had my first appointment at Something Blue Bridal this past weekend and had such an amazing experience! Making the appointment ahead of time was simple and easy, and I love that they ask for all the details about your wedding in your booking so they're already sort of caught up to speed when you come in for the first time. They do take walk-ins but it's based upon availability. Each of the dress rooms is themed, and I went with the "Rustic" room. It was cozy and decorated so cute. My friends and I were obsessed with the vibes! I had Sarah as my bridal consultant and she was fantastic! She was super personable and so much help. I went in for this first appointment with just the intention of trying things on and figuring out what style I like (I really had very little idea walking in) and ended up walking out knowing exactly the dress I'm coming back for. I have a second appointment scheduled to show my mom, sister, soon to be sister-in-law, and soon to be mother-in-law, my top three dress appointments... But I definitely know which one I'm walking out with. I showed Sarah a few ideas on Pinterest and she ended up choosing 2/3 of the dresses in my top three, and the one I'm going to end up choosing! She nailed it. Another shining element of Something Blue is that they are priced extremely affordably, with their dresses ranging between $700-$2800 (which, if you've shopped for wedding dresses before, you know is not bad). After trying on so many dresses, and being at shops that made me feel more like a burden instead of a bride, Something Blue shocked me. Thank you Lauren for helping me find my dream dress and giving me the most special day. I will never forget when I came back in to try on my dress and Lauren said that she remembered me and how beautiful she thought I looked in my dress. I want to start by saying that I genuinely had an amazing experience with Something Blue. The staff are so kind and flexible and really make the experience exactly what you hoped and dreamed it would be. My stylist (I think that's what they're called?) was Tai and she was phenomenal!! helped me stay within and well below my budget, helped me not feel pressured by anyone else (even though they were all supportive), and discreetly put back dresses I didn't like or weren't within my budget. She ensured my dress was perfect for me, and because it was off the rack and two sizes too small, made sure I had a plan for alterations that would work. that way i didn't go home with a dress that could never fit me. I'm so grateful for my dress and the magical experience. Shout-out especially to Tai! ALL THAT BEING SAID, I am a little frustrated (at the store, not the staff) as the lace up kit I purchased for 120 dollars and ended up not needing cannot be returned. My seamstress altered my dress flawlessly without it, said she never uses them, and told me that, if she did, she could get one for WAAAAY cheaper at the same quality on Amazon. I haven't verified this myself, to be fair, but if you go to Something Blue, I would just be mindful of them trying to sell you extra things you might not need at a marked up price. Nothing but love to the stylists as they really are so kind and helpful. I just wonder if the store owners are being a tiny bit shady for an extra buck. Puts a little bit of a sour taste on my almost perfect experience with them. All around 4 stars. read more

My best friend is getting married!!! (Yayyyy!!!!) and this was the first shop she's looked at dresses in. Our consultant was extra helpful, and totally awesome. The highest price dress they have here is $2,800, so if that's in your price range, check them out! Very cute shop, very intimate, and they even have period products and baby changing stations in the unisex bathroom. The staff was perfect. My experience was great. I was trying on dresses for the first time. I couldn't be more pleased. My consultant, Amanda made me feel confident and even moved my phone/tripod around for me while I was on FaceTime with my family to show them the details on each dress. She did that without even asking as if she had known me for years, I know their staff truly cares about the bride. Shout out to the most amazing Something Blue Bridal Boutique! The experience I had trying on dresses was wonderful. Tia was so helpful and the styles and sizes of the dresses really made me feel like a bride-to-be. Tia was also attentive and friendly to my family who was there with me. The whole experience was lovely. Being "presented" completely dressed, in a beautiful, chic room, made a lot of difference. I had heard over and over again that I would just "know". Well, I didn't. I was overwhelmed with how special each dress and experience was. There was no pushiness at all to make a decision. Mind you, this was my first time EVER trying on dresses. And I was nervous and probably more than a little defensive because I was convinced that I would not LOVE any of the dresses. That I would never look like the models on my Pinterest board. After taking the day to contemplate and reviewing the photos my mom and sister had taken, I had found THE DRESS. It was stunning. The more I looked at it and reflected on how I felt in it, the more I just KNEW. Tomorrow I go for my fitting. I am so excited. I didn't think I would get to experience this joy. Because #plussize and #weddingdresses2021 seem to be diametrically opposed. Boy, was I wrong. Never once was I made to feel less than because of my size when trying on my dresses. And Tia never dismissed my concerns but, instead, offered helpful suggestions to cover any areas that I was wanting to diminish, while helping to completely accent all of the parts of me that are FABULOUS. I came to Something Blue a couple of weeks ago for my first-ever bridal appointment and was honestly pretty nervous. I am awkward and don't typically love to wear dresses, and certainly don't love to have all eyes on me. But when I arrived with my 7 friends/family, I was instantly reassured when I met my consultant, Kaylyn. She was spunky and so down-to-earth, but more than anything I appreciated how honest she was. She cared about my budget, how I wanted to feel, and what I thought I wanted, but wasn't afraid to offer ideas and make suggestions which is what I NEEDED. She was so affirming and encouraged me to breathe and take these moments in, not allowing me to speed through the process because it was new and uncomfortable (in a good way). Today, I went back for a second appointment and tried on my top three dresses and ended up saying "yes" to a dress she had encouraged me to try on as a palate cleanser. Loved this place. Good customer service. Even though I didn't find my dress here I loved how well they took care of me. A lot of pretty dresses choose from reasonable price and the quality of the material were really good! Looked like brand-new! They were willing to work with me so they recommended another shop that had similar dress that I wanted. They wanted to order that dress for me but I need to try it on first to see if I liked it on me and they were very sweet about it and understanding. I am getting married this fall and finding the perfect dress was a bit stressful. I went to about 7 different bridal shops and I came back to Something Blue three times. The workers were all so nice and friendly. They gave their opinions but didn't pressure me into buying any dresses. They were just so helpful. I told them the style I wanted and they picked out the dresses for me, which was sooo great. They even picked out some dresses that I didn't think I'd like but loved when I tried them on! The reason I am giving 5/5 stars is because I had ordered a dress but then changed my mind about a month later after ordering it. I kept thinking about another dress I wanted from there and I called them thinking that was it impossible to change my order. Debra was just the nicest and did everything she could to change my order. In the end, I got to change my dress and it was not much of a hassle at all. With a deep-seeded fear of high-pressure sales tactics, I wanted to try on dresses at a small boutique where I'd be safe from the prying claws of those wild-eyed, commission-driven salespeople. Thank goodness I got exactly what I was looking for with Something Blue! :-) My first visit in was with my best friend and Mom. We were assisted by Lauren who's just the cutest thing ever! She encouraged us to search the racks, pull whatever we felt would be best for me to try on, and basically waited on us hand and foot through the entire 2 hour visit. She was enthusiastic and informative, but not at all pushy which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, I was too torn between dresses to make a decision that day so I left empty handed. I called about a week later and spoke with the owner. I told her that I'd had such a great experience with Lauren that I wanted to come back in for a second time. She made sure she put Lauren on the schedule for the day I was coming in and, sure enough, within about an hour into my second visit Lauren and I had my dress picked out! If you're looking for a lot of hand-holding or for someone to pull dresses for you (a la "Say Yes to the Dress"), Lauren's not the girl for you (however, I'm positive that other salespeople at the boutique can provide those kinds of services). If you're looking for someone who's going to be patient with you, help you talk through your thoughts, and just be supportive, then Lauren's your girl. So, here's the gist of it: Selection: B+. They may not have a million dresses in stock, but they've got about 5-6 key designers on hand with several styles to choose from. Prices: A. They don't have anything there for over $4000, which is great for us low-budget girls! Easy to Get to: B+. If you know Puyallup, it's pretty easy. If you don't know Puyalllup, well, just plug in the address to your GPS/phone. The one-ways are a bit tricky, but the boutique sits on a main street with plenty of parking. Sales Staff: A+. To be fair, I only worked with Lauren and the owner briefly. I can't speak for any of the other staff, but I had a great experience there. Ordering Process: A. Quick and easy. Had a bit of a tough time deciding on what size dress to order since my measurements sit kind of in the middle, but once the measurments were done, there was some minor paperwork and half the cost due. I'll never forget Debra the owner at Something Blue Bridal! From the moment I walked in and met her she was so sweet and helpful! I found my beautiful dress after trying on a few, she had so many gorgeous gowns! She was so professional and caring. My dress came in when she said it would, and She also does all the tailoring. My wedding was in Cancun. I decided to try on my dress about 48 hours before we were leaving, as I hadn't tried it on in over a month. It's a good thing I did because it was not fitting the way I wanted it too. I freaked out!! It was way too big, I was up all night thinking about it. I knew she was closed on Sunday and Monday's. I sent her an email telling her what happened, she called me first thing Monday morning, and Debra told me to come in, and she would get it fixed. Sure enough she came in on her day off, and took it in. It only took about an hour!! I've never felt more relieved and I could finally relax! Now that's what I call amazing customer service!!!!! I had the best service at this bridal salon and they worked with me to stay within my budget and also give advice on different fit. It was easy enough to try on and order the bridesmaid dress from a selection of several styles my friend picked out, it also came in on time. I was just very disappointed that when I picked up the dress from the salon it was completely wrinkled. I would have thought spending $200+ my dress would have been pressed or steamed or at the least not completely wrinkly. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this shop. I had been to one two other bridal stores before this, one being David's Bridal. David's Bridal had more personalized customer service than this shop. The lady helping me didn't suggest a single dress. She just watched me as I tried to sort through all the dresses. I ended up trying on a sample dress and fell in love with it. I had no clue it was going to cost me over a THOUSAND DOLLARS in alterations. If I knew it was going to be that expensive I would have purchased a nicer dress. She also never told me about the tears in the fabric. I wanted something more unique than David's Bridal and I got a dress that is WAYYY too big and had rips and missing stones.
