If you're look for a place that has both quality food, dining experience, and upbeat ambiance? This. Is. The. PLACE! There's nothing better than a combo of cooked sushi but the Dominican way! From different plates, rolls, and drinks. They offer hookah as well, and have a DJ on set everyday! The owner herself is very hospitable and a genuine person if you do get to meet the Queen herself! The service is always on point and it flows great. This location itself gets busy at night, and that itself speaks volumes on how great this place is. The food not only looks good but IS good. I 10/10 recommend and have several friends here to try! I am not a local and stayed out 45 min from here but this was ALWAYS worth the trip I looked forward to! Please give them a shot and you'll definitely love having had taken the time to Come here and have an amazing dining experience! Thank you for everything!!!

Nice atmosphere, drinks was very good presentation for the food was soooo pretty. The calamari 10/10 snapper was a little over cooked and dry

All the food was great. I came with my dad and we each had chicken soup, empanadas: chicken, shrimp and beef. I had the lamb chops meal. It was great. However, the lamb chops had more fat than meat so I did mention this to our waitress. My dad had the churrasco mofongo which was good and had a nice size steak. I also had a mango lemonade. Our waitress was pleasant. We'd visit again.

We visited Boga for a friend's birthday dinner. I love Latin food, so I was pretty excited to be trying this place for the first time. The Parking: Free parking. Huge lot. The Service: It was pretty good. The waitress was really nice, but continued to get our friend's birthday treat. I reminded her at least 4 times towards the end of our meal. Things seemed to be moving pretty slow here. The Atmosphere: I love the look of this place. Very colorful. Later in the evening, the open the doors, and Boga turns into a little lounge. Nice live DJ and good hookah ($30-$35) is also provided. The Food: I ordered the Boga Wings (12 pc. - $13.95), as well as the Half Caribbean Roasted Chicken ($14.95). The wings were Smoky Chicken Wings, with their homemade salsa, accompanied with their homemade lime mayo sauce, celery and carrots. THEY WERE SO GOOD! Some of the best wings I've ever had. The flavor was amazing and they were fried hard. The roasted chicken was served with Caribbean fresh herbs over Fingerling Steak Fries and Grilled Asparagus. It also comes with a bed of their signature Avocado Green Tomatillo Sauce, but I ordered mine on the side. It was okay. I wasn't too hungry, so most of it went home. It tasted even better once I put the chicken in the air fryer at home. Lol. Empeñadas: My friends ordered the empeñadas and shared with the table. They were REALLY GOOD! Omg! Get em! Overall, I'd definitely come back and I highly recommend visiting if you're ever in the Norcross area.

Definitely a neighborhood gem first and foremost! Located in a plaza with ample parking, Boga's beautiful interior is not evident until you enter. The host guides to either a highly recommended reserved table (especially on weekends) or the energetic bar area. Honestly, the entire place is energetic with conversations in English and Spanish, a DJ or band depending on the day and a combination of tables and booths throughout. But the highlight is the food! There are ample choices from appetizers to traditional meals like my favorite mofungo to fusion inspired sushi. Have tried all and never disappointed! On my first visit I had the mofungo trio with faves shrimp & avocado and was beside myself! The reason for this was because I had attempted to get mofongo similar to what I experienced in Puerto Rico and has been an epic fail per previous reviews. Boga gets it! The sample size is great and they also have larger combinations of mofungo dishes. Also ordered the calamari, which was an extremely large portion and enough to share, and my companion's fried oysters. As it was my companion's b-day, I surprised him with a Boga staff serenade in Espanol accompanied with delicious tres leches cake! Returned again last week as I was craving soup, and was obliged with the chicken soup full of veggies and well seasoned broth. Had the tequila shrimp & substituted yellow rice for the white. It was apparently one of their popular dishes as the next table ordered the same, but with the white rice. I do see the benefits of both options as it was a little bit salty and the white rice would dilute that. Nonetheless the presentation and taste were stellar! My companion had the ropa viejo Sushi roll and it was so yummy. Actually broke my 'no meat Friday' rule to sample. I love the fusion creativity of the chef! All dishes paired well with their sangria, which was available in several sizes. I must go back to the chef & owner, who appears to be a jack of all trades. He not only greeted patrons & helped at the bar, but was also spotted on a ladder hanging a strange shaped balloon. Was curious about it, until we later were privy to a gender reveal ceremony. It's a girl! Also concurrently were birthday party dinners taking place. The place is large enough to accommodate multiple events while servicing the regular dinner crowd. Service is exceptional whether at the bar or a booth. They also have hookahs available. Will definitely return for my own sushi roll, sampling of the myriad of food porn style dishes posted on their Instagram and of course my favorite mufungo!!!

Very nice quiet spot to get a quick lunch bite. While I'm waiting for my seat covers to be installed came to grab a bite. Lunch stew chicken rice n beans plantain and a salad . This was good for lunch also comes a drink . It's also a really good price 13 bucks for the lunch and you're full.

Boga was ok! Visited with a friend. We ordered apps, Calamari & beef, chicken & shrimp empanadas! We also ordered an Apple Martini & a Mango Martini. Both Martini's were delicious! The Calamari was very chewy and lacked flavor, however they did provide 2 dipping sauces that provided a nice lil kick of flavor! The empanadas were fried HARD and tough to eat & enjoy. Wasn't a fan. The ambiance of the place is very nice, they don't close til 3am & have large speakers in the ceilings, which I'm assuming the place turns into a lounge/club of some sort later in the night. Staff was great, our waitress was new & very nice! It was her first day & we gave her lots of grace, cause, understandable! Overall, the staff was great, great ambiance and nice cocktail options, however the food is a bit lack luster. Once that improves, I believe this place has lots of potential!

Cute, sexy spot in an unsuspecting strip mall. The food was so good, we really wanted to try everything! The calamari was fried and seasoned well, the empanadas were flavorful, we got crab, shrimp and beef (they also have chicken), the mofongitos were not bad but I'll get the mofongo next time. The Latin style sushi rolls were also very good. They had drink specials til 7, sangria and margaritas were strong! They have a stage set up for a band, I'd like to go back and check that out!

I came here to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and my birthday and OMG we had an amazing time!! Our server Angel took such good care of us he was so sweet and amazing and fun! The food was outstanding and muy autentico the hookah was good, and the music was lit. Can't wait to come back!

Arrived about 30 mins after they opened and was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. There was no one else in there so we were seated immediately and was taken care of pretty quickly. We ordered the sangria tower, chicken, beef, and crab empanadas, and the la dura and lady rolls. The empanadas were perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection. The sangria was absolutely delicious although it could have used a little more alcohol. The rolls were amazing!!! Everything again was very flavorful and cooked to perfection! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

There is an open kitchen style towards the back of the restaurant, and at the center, there is a bar area. The restaurant is relatively dark, fair warning. There was a unique selection of appetizers and entrees. So I had a hard time choosing, but for appetizers we ended up getting Tuna Tower, Wagyu sliders, and the Goku roll. Naturally we were a bit dull after that, but I wanted to try an entree so I ordered the seafood gumbo and my partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese (he says he gets this here every time). All the appetizers we got were AMAZING. I don't have a single complaint about the taste, quality, or flavor. The display was also very neat and nice. I will say the lobster mac and cheese and the seafood gumbo were a bit too salty for my palate, but I can tell that the flavor was there. They were very generous with the seafood for every meal, so that was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come again. There were so many other entrées and sushi rolls I wanted to try, so I will update this review as I do so!
