I had the chance to try lomo saltado for the first time many years ago, and I instantly fell in love. Rico Sabor Peruano is not the top result when searched, but a professional Yelper like myself could tell that it was probably the best choice. Once I walked into the restaurant, I knew I made the right choice. Rico Sabor Peruano evokes East LA vibes. The interior was not great, and the employee didn't speak English. I knew I was about to have one of the greatest meals of my life. After stumbling through the order with my early intermediate Spanish (Duolingo-level Spanish with a thick Gringo accent), I excitedly waited for my meal. The food was cooked in a reasonable amount of time, and the employee even proactively brought a bottle of hot sauce. How did she know? I'm happy to report that Rico Sabor Peruano perfectly lived up to my very high expectations. I'll definitely return for the lomo saltado. Service is always good, the place is usually 1/2 to 2/3 full. We like the decor, especially the gazebo in the parking lot as we pull up.
