Very inexpensive very clean very nice hotel option in Walnut Creek / Pleasant Hill / Concord. Nice clean comfortable beds. Nice clean rooms that smell great. Good service at check in. Impressive gym. Will definitely stay here again! Better than most Hilton properties in the area and I'm a Hilton Diamond member.

Super cute hotel in the middle of Pleasant Hill surrounded by a plethora of food eateries. Staff was pleasant and nice, always greeted by smiles! After hours, the hotel front doors are locked and can only get in via hotel card or staff will let you in. You have a guest parking notice so you can place on dash to let them know you are hotel guests. Definitely will stay here again if we need to hit the area

Just my dog loving is bed. Thanks again, Jay.

I've been staying at this hotel for a couple weeks and it's been a great experience. My review is pretty long, so prepare yourself for my novel of a review. Get yourself something to drink and sit back and relax. Here are some of my favorite things about the hotel. Their bed and pillows are amazingly comfortable. My room has a vaulted ceiling and gorgeous floor ceiling blackout curtains with a giant TV that has HBO and Netflix Outside my room there's a giant patio, which is really nice to sit on at night. They also have a brand new little dog park, which is gated in and has plenty of space for my little dogs to play. Parking is easy and so far has been extremely safe, which is awesome I love my couch as well because it has outlets and I can easily charge my devices and work from the sofa. There's also an oversized ottoman that you can put your feet up on The shower has beautiful glass doors and really nice white tiles on the wall. Best part about it though is it has good water pressure, which is huge for getting all the shampoo out of my hair. The shower also has shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. They don't use the little plastic bottles which I love because those are terrible for the environment. It's also very quiet and peaceful here. Most of the people here are workers from out of town who go to work early in the morning and come back in the evening so most of the time I have the hotel to myself. They also have a snack shop upfront so when I'm feeling lazy, I can go up and buy snacks which is great because DoorDash can get expensive The maids do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms. I came back and it was like I've never even stayed in the room. It was sparkling. I haven't had the breakfast here, but I've seen their spread and it's very nice. I love interior design and their lobby is stunning. Jay, the general manager, was very nice and gave me a large dog bed and water dish for my dogs. They also have complementary dog snacks in the lobby. Just another little perk that makes it feel like home for me and my dogs. Thank you guys so much for making my stay wonderful. I love this hotel

Bed Bugs!! Bedbugs! Filthy place! Horrible experience... 4 nights and each night got bites! Upon checkout the Mgr Jay (owners - replace this guy!) told me that 'they checked and none were found'... amazingly stupid! Didn't apologize and was rude! Avoid this place if you're a person of color as this mgmt team will treat you poorly!!

What a pleasure to have stayed at the Sonesta Select in Pleasant Hill! The rooms are large and comfortable, but that isn't the only reason why I am leaving this review. The staff here are phenomenal. The general manager, Jay, went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. We were in the process of moving and he was incredibly helpful, kind and supportive. It's not often you meet people who are genuinely interested in providing the best experience possible. Our thanks to Jay and the rest of the staff at the Sonesta. I give this hotel a 10 out of 10 ra

Decent hotel. BUT best part is the new restaurant 'The Royale', right in the carpark - serving breakfast brunch and lunch (and soon dinner). Coffee is excellent. The food is excellent -The menu is a perfect blend of American inspired comfort food and Asian fusion twist. Great menu to choose from. Perfect place to meet for a lunch meeting - Atmosphere is clean & classy with beautiful windows and light and not over-done. Not loud - Can't recommend enough. We had the Ahi Tuna salad (light and very tasty), Chicken & waffle (nailed it ), Beef short rib dinner (melt in your mouth tender) and candied bacon (next level). Staff are warm and welcoming and absolutely know what they're doing. This is the sister restaurant to the famous Lapisara in SF and clearly they are great operators. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a winner. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

The room was huge! It had a cute little kitchen setup with a dining table, a comfy corner couch in the living area, and two separate bedrooms, which made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel. One room had a queen bed, a good-sized closet with wired shelving, and a super spacious bathroom with the sink area outside the bathroom, always a win when you're trying to get ready without fighting over space. The second bedroom had a king bed, its own walk-in shower, and the same setup with the sink outside the bathroom and open to the room, which made it super easy to multitask (aka watch TV while doing my makeup). The space overall was clean, functional, and comfortable. But my biggest complaint? That awful showerhead. It was grimy, leaking, and had the weakest water pressure. Definitely a letdown in an otherwise great room.... especially when a good shower is one of my top hotel priorities. The bathroom had the potential to be a vibe, but the shower situation totally killed it.

We had an extended stay here for work. The big feature is that they allow pets -- both dogs and…read morecats to stay, which was a big plus for us! The staff were always very friendly and accommodating. There were a couple of times we had a lot of clarifying questions and they never made us feel like we were annoying them. Even when we checked out, I double checked the pet fee after having paid and left already. They had accidentally overcharged me, as I had stayed for less time than the price I had paid. I called them up to inquire about it, and they were able to resolve the issue and refunded me the difference. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean for accommodating pets. I think this hotel seems to have a lot of smells from food that people bring it or of cleaning products. Even in our room, it seemed the room held on to smells for a long time, and despite having the air circulating or the window open, it was hard to get rid of the scents. It also seems other reviewers have mentioned some bedbug or other creepy crawly concerns, but we did not see any for the whole month we were there. We had a studio sort of room, so it was a large space that included the bed, a small living room with the couch, dining table, and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a microwave that also can be an oven, an electric stove, and a nice sized refrigerator. They include the basic utensils for eating and cooking, bowls, plates, cups, mugs, pans, pots, colander. There is a coffee maker, as well. They provide you with dishwashing soap but it is not of great quality as it doesn't bubble. There is no sponge they provide to wash your dishes. They do have some dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher they also have in the unit. It seems they do not do room service unless you specifically request/schedule for it. It's probably because they have pets and they need you to have your pet out of the room when they service it. Parking is free, and they provide you with a parking pass to leave on your dashboard. They have a 24/7 gym with a few key equipment, including 2 ellipticals, 1 stationary bike, 1 non-functioning Peloton bike, 3 treadmills, bench for weights, back extension. They have wipes to clean the equipment, a water jug, and towels for your convenience. There is complimentary breakfast. It starts at 6:30 am on the weekdays, 7 am on the weekends. They have someone making custom ready-to-order omelets. They have the standard coffee and tea (coffee runs out pretty quickly in the morning since this is a busy hotel for working guets), scrambled eggs (one plain, one with veggies), sausage or bacon, potatoes, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breads. There is a bar with a happy hour as well, but they do not have a sit-down restaurant here. Fortunately, there are many restaurants close by in Downtown Pleasant Hill. Other amenities include meeting rooms, a pool, basketball court. Overall, it was a pretty solid experience at Hyatt House!

When I first walked in the room, I could immediately smell that it had been cleaned yet it did not give off any chemical smell - I am very sensitive to chemical odors and can get headaches from them. The sheets, linens, shower, and surfaces all appeared very clean. The only minus, which is why I took away a star, was some of the utensils in my kitchen area had very visible food remnants on them and one of the knives had a large thumbprint, so I made sure to take utensils from the breakfast area instead and did not feel comfortable using any of the dish-ware or drink-ware either, given the state of the utensils. This was very gross but overall I was impressed with the overall cleanliness. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and made check in a breeze. The spaciousness of the room itself was wonderful and I found everything to be very comfortable. I had been able to pick out my room in advance on the app and chose a corner room on the top floor - it was very quiet despite it's proximity to the freeway. The room was dark overall but the only issue was the outlet in the bathroom had a nightlight built in which could not be turned off! I had to stack a couple things in front of it to block out the light that was very close to the bed. I stayed at 3 hotels on my fall break trip and this one had by far the best quality and best variety of free breakfast options. I really appreciate having this. As a young single woman, I felt very safe in the neighborhood when walking into the hotel late at night. I hadn't realized when booking the hotel that it was actually across the street from the apartments my brother and his family used to live in - so I knew upon arrival it was a very safe area. I would absolutely stay here again and felt the value was there for the price I paid.

They are the bright spot of this property. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is another story. I travel weekly for work and stay in hotels constantly, and I would rate the condition and cleanliness of this property 2 stars at best. What bothers me most is that the owners/management have allowed the rooms to get into this condition while leaving the front-of-house employees to deal with the complaints day after day. That is incredibly unfair to a staff that is clearly working hard and doing its best. Shame on the owners for putting them in that position. If you work all day, grab dinner, and only come back to crash for the night, you can make it work. But if you're looking for a genuinely clean, well-maintained hotel where you can relax and feel comfortable spending time in your room, this would not be my choice. The staff deserves 5 stars. The condition of the hotel does not.

I understand there are rules, but there is a respectful way to speak to guests. Some staff were wonderful, but these two experiences negatively affected my stay.

The front desk curated this room, I say this because he seemed to ponder which room as he got our key. No one will accuse them of being overly friendly. The fireplace in the lobby is one of those fireplace looking heaters. There's a mini vending machine in the "lobby" with soda, water and snacks reasonably priced for the region, about $1.50. Now the gross bit: The human generic material on the bedskirt as well as interesting leftovers on the sheets inspired is to sleep on top, luckily we didn't bring a UV light, because we may have ended up sleeping in our car. Pros: no bugs, no bad smells, located close to good restaurants, shopping, sun valley Mall, the door locks, the TV and remote works, the AC works, the mini fridge works, the lights all work, shower works well and has warm water. Cons: Firstly, there was "evidence of intimate 'seggsual' activities" on the bedding, see photos. Epically disgusting. Renovated rooms are being neglected so it's pretty stained (rugs, bedding, walls), damaged (ceiling, walls, toilet top), and dirty (stained walls, bedding, filthy carpeting)-yeah redundant on the cleanliness. Kinda surprised there isn't a gross smell, I guess give it a couple more years. Lumpy pillow, no facial tissue, just empty box This is a MOTEL not a hotel. A hotel has more amenities, like breakfast, pool, etc. Would only recommend if they have a clean room, but I think they "know what they have" and are content to offer this to their customers, and probably complain how spoiled we are to expect clean rooms. From a global perspective maybe we are, but that's the business they signed up for.

I score low on the sentimental scale, but I will save forever the card the staff signed for us and left in a thoughtful snack and gift basket! The hotel is so conveniently located near highways and delightful places to eat and shop. I reserved and prepaid $977.28 through the AAA Travel website for a Premium Two King Beds room. My confirmation clearly states that I purchased a Premium Two King Beds room. Before traveling, I also called the hotel directly to verify my reservation, and I was assured everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room type was no longer available. Instead of the two king beds I had reserved and paid for, I was given a room with only one king bed and a rollaway bed. I was traveling with my elderly mother and my adult daughter. Because the rollaway bed was not suitable for my daughter, my mother had to sleep on the rollaway bed for our three-night stay. This was not the room I purchased, and it significantly affected our comfort during our trip. I immediately asked whether another room was available or whether the hotel could provide a discount or other accommodation. I was told the hotel was sold out and that nothing could be done. The staff was not empathetic and repeatedly stated that because I had booked through a third party, there was nothing they could do. After returning home, I contacted the hotel again. During that conversation, I was told that I had been "bumped" because I booked through a third party and that had I booked directly through the hotel, they would have honored my reservation. I find this unacceptable. My reservation was confirmed, paid in full, and verified directly with the hotel before my arrival. Guests should not receive inferior accommodations simply because they booked through an authorized travel partner such as AAA. I respectfully request: * A partial refund for failing to provide the room category I paid for. * A written explanation as to why my confirmed reservation was not honored. * An explanation of the hotel's policy regarding confirmed reservations made through AAA and other authorized travel agencies. I have already opened a case with AAA Travel and hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.

Adam declined and simply told him, "You can contact the manager on Monday." This entire situation could have been avoided if accurate information had been provided from the beginning. Instead, we were given conflicting instructions, treated disrespectfully, and denied the accommodations we had reserved. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, and I would not recommend staying at this location.
