I just spent the last 16 hours at this hotel and I'm really surprised that it has a 3 star rating. I have seen few economy hotels better suited to business and overnight travelers. First of all, parking was easy, close and free and the lot is shared with a drug store and a few other shops, so should you need anything it's just a few steps away. As soon as we checked in we were presented with a welcome gift of complimentary snacks and drinks. Staff was very nice. Then we proceeded to help ourselves to glasses of ice cold fruit infused water, which is always available in the lobby. We headed up to our room, and I will concede (as other reviewers have complained) that the carpet in the hallway is dated but the room itself was lovely. I don't know about any of you, but I don't tend to spend too much time in the hallway. I only had a standard room, but please see the photos. Everything was clean, well appointed and comfortable. So comfortable as a matter of fact that the person I was with spent an uncharacteristic 12 hours sleeping in the cozy bed. This hotel is one of few that we have been to where the pool and spa area is open 24 hours for your convenience and for me that's a big plus! I hate rushing to try to get down to the spa for a soak before the pool hours are over. There were multiple families enjoying the pool and having a great time as we relaxed in the spa. They were also taking advantage of a very nice outside terrace to have some snacks in between swim time. You can see the gym from the pool area and the equipment looked new and in good condition. There was no refrigerator in the room, but the ice machine took care of my needs and the coffee station was fine in the morning. The bath products offered smelled great and were good quality. The hotel is also only 30 minutes from the airport. Personally, I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice property right in downtown Pleasanton Hills situated immediately next to a big strip mall on one side and a large shopping area on the other. Kind of strange that their parking just blends into the mall's parking area. I am always amazed at various design hotels use to accommodate TVs - all those wild swinging arms with zillion-degrees-of-freedom or that beveled stand that flips like a gymnast. The room I had, offered a delight as well. Here are the instruction a for the best tv viewing pleasure: (1) rotate stand 37.5 degrees, (2) rotate around your head-to-toe axis by 47 degrees, and (3) stare at 2:00 clock direction. Now you are watching! In all seriousness though, they had s real nice gym and a nice lobby. Their lobby opens into a nice patio so you can enjoy decent outdoor if you want to take your drink or food outside. Bistro is a typical Marriott bistro and with so many other places close by, I suggest you skip the bistro dinning.

***CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS*** Screenshot proof of my complaint with Katrece Raine - GM I checked in on 1/19/18(Friday) and checked out the very next day 1/20/18 (Saturday). I pre-paid for the room through Marriott.com. No complaints. A week later on 1/29/18 they attempted to charge me $1,000!! After failing to do so, they tried again for $500!! They were successful in collecting $500.00 I immediately called them to see what was going on? They immediately accused me of thrashing the room, breaking all the furniture and staining all the sheets! Without calling me first to check and see what had happened, they charged me whatever they could. I told them I was the only person in the room, there's no possible way I would create such damage. After asking to see pictures of the room they "claimed" to have..They apologized and said it was the guest who checked in on 1/28/18 and would be pursuing him/ her now!! They said they just assumed I was the last person in the room! They also said they charge first and ask questions later. This raises a lot of questions: 1) Do they not clean the room for up to a week? 2) Do they not know who's in their rooms at all times? 3) Do they accuse people of such acts knowing you're out of town and won't fight it? 4) Could I have been robbed and kidnapped and they didn't look into it? 5) Could the room have been burglarized and a week later they pick someone to charge? The list goes on... I fought to get my money back and they offered me a lousy 20k points to my Marriott account that they said I'd get within 24 hours. I've yet to receive the points. They got caught wrongfully charging a customer on purpose and can't back out of the corner now! HR & corporate are friends and this isn't over.

Huge carpet patch in center of room!!

This is by far the worst Courtyard by Marriott I've ever stayed at. I travel for business and pleasure. At $265 per night is way over priced for this outdated property. Let me start with the bistro. Most all the food is pre-made and food items that are made onsite are overcooked and poorly prepared. Service after purchasing highly priced breakfast is nonexistent. During my stay they had workers come too my room to take carpet measurements!!! DURING MY STAY?? The front desk staff were nice and did their job which was the only good thing about this property. Oh and had to pay parking $5 a day !! Not expensive but it is an open parking Lot shared with Rite aid and other business establishments. Total rip off. This is a corporate property; might want to look into new management. And 1 star is only cause of the front dessert staff.

We stayed here few times. Yesterday the hallways were absolutely freezing. I'm not sure why would they crank up the A/C to such uncomfortable setting. The room itself is a typical hotel room. The sink area is very small yet the shower/toilet room is big. Maybe they could put an extra vanity in there. Right now there are a lot of people here from Napa fires so I'm not sure how a family gets ready in the morning with such a small sink. The elevators were not working when we came so that was a hassle but they got them working again later on. The bar area is very nice and cozy. The pool is indoor and looks inviting.

I am the husband of this account holder and needed to post about my recent stay. This stay was for neither business or pleasure. I got a call my mother was dying and in hospice about 6 miles away. I didn't know how long I would need to stay. As you can imagine your entire mind is a mess. I could not have asked for a more caring and wonderful staff. They were kind as daily i came in at weird hours and extended my stay. This morning at 2 a.m. she passed. Once all the arrangements were made I went back to the hotel to hopefully get a few more hours of sleep, they told me to not worry about the check out time, get the sleep I needed. Upon leaving they gave me a bag of snacks to get home and this card. Thank you.....

The room was huge! It had a cute little kitchen setup with a dining table, a comfy corner couch in the living area, and two separate bedrooms, which made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel. One room had a queen bed, a good-sized closet with wired shelving, and a super spacious bathroom with the sink area outside the bathroom, always a win when you're trying to get ready without fighting over space. The second bedroom had a king bed, its own walk-in shower, and the same setup with the sink outside the bathroom and open to the room, which made it super easy to multitask (aka watch TV while doing my makeup). The space overall was clean, functional, and comfortable. But my biggest complaint? That awful showerhead. It was grimy, leaking, and had the weakest water pressure. Definitely a letdown in an otherwise great room.... especially when a good shower is one of my top hotel priorities. The bathroom had the potential to be a vibe, but the shower situation totally killed it.

The staff were always very friendly and accommodating. There were a couple of times we had a lot of clarifying questions and they never made us feel like we were annoying them. Even when we checked out, I double checked the pet fee after having paid and left already. They had accidentally overcharged me, as I had stayed for less time than the price I had paid. I called them up to inquire about it, and they were able to resolve the issue and refunded me the difference. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean for accommodating pets. I think this hotel seems to have a lot of smells from food that people bring it or of cleaning products. Even in our room, it seemed the room held on to smells for a long time, and despite having the air circulating or the window open, it was hard to get rid of the scents. It also seems other reviewers have mentioned some bedbug or other creepy crawly concerns, but we did not see any for the whole month we were there. We had a studio sort of room, so it was a large space that included the bed, a small living room with the couch, dining table, and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a microwave that also can be an oven, an electric stove, and a nice sized refrigerator. They include the basic utensils for eating and cooking, bowls, plates, cups, mugs, pans, pots, colander. There is a coffee maker, as well. They provide you with dishwashing soap but it is not of great quality as it doesn't bubble. There is no sponge they provide to wash your dishes. They do have some dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher they also have in the unit. It seems they do not do room service unless you specifically request/schedule for it. It's probably because they have pets and they need you to have your pet out of the room when they service it. Parking is free, and they provide you with a parking pass to leave on your dashboard. They have a 24/7 gym with a few key equipment, including 2 ellipticals, 1 stationary bike, 1 non-functioning Peloton bike, 3 treadmills, bench for weights, back extension. They have wipes to clean the equipment, a water jug, and towels for your convenience. There is complimentary breakfast. It starts at 6:30 am on the weekdays, 7 am on the weekends. They have someone making custom ready-to-order omelets. They have the standard coffee and tea (coffee runs out pretty quickly in the morning since this is a busy hotel for working guets), scrambled eggs (one plain, one with veggies), sausage or bacon, potatoes, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, breads. There is a bar with a happy hour as well, but they do not have a sit-down restaurant here. Fortunately, there are many restaurants close by in Downtown Pleasant Hill. Other amenities include meeting rooms, a pool, basketball court. Overall, it was a pretty solid experience at Hyatt House!

When I first walked in the room, I could immediately smell that it had been cleaned yet it did not give off any chemical smell - I am very sensitive to chemical odors and can get headaches from them. The sheets, linens, shower, and surfaces all appeared very clean. The only minus, which is why I took away a star, was some of the utensils in my kitchen area had very visible food remnants on them and one of the knives had a large thumbprint, so I made sure to take utensils from the breakfast area instead and did not feel comfortable using any of the dish-ware or drink-ware either, given the state of the utensils. This was very gross but overall I was impressed with the overall cleanliness. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and made check in a breeze. The spaciousness of the room itself was wonderful and I found everything to be very comfortable. I had been able to pick out my room in advance on the app and chose a corner room on the top floor - it was very quiet despite it's proximity to the freeway. The room was dark overall but the only issue was the outlet in the bathroom had a nightlight built in which could not be turned off! I had to stack a couple things in front of it to block out the light that was very close to the bed. I stayed at 3 hotels on my fall break trip and this one had by far the best quality and best variety of free breakfast options. I really appreciate having this. As a young single woman, I felt very safe in the neighborhood when walking into the hotel late at night. I hadn't realized when booking the hotel that it was actually across the street from the apartments my brother and his family used to live in - so I knew upon arrival it was a very safe area. I would absolutely stay here again and felt the value was there for the price I paid.

I booked this through Marriott Bonvoy and I expect a certain level of customer service when I stay at these properties. What I got was frankly just the opposite. Let me preface this by saying that I had forgotten my Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX Card at home. In the rush of packing up, I had transferred some of my cards and ID into another handbag. Sometimes you just forget these things as we all have these "human" moments. I didn't anticipate it would be a huge deal as Jacob said that I could just input my card number from my account if I was able to read it off. I logged into my account and for online security, I was only able to obtain the last 5 digits. I proceeded to call customer service on speaker phone to see if I could obtain the entire card number. It was during this phone call that I could clearly see that Jacob was starting to get annoyed. He remained quiet but his energy changed. He went from being polite to staring at me with almost an "flippant" tone. I was on hold with the agent while they tried to see how we could resolve the situation. She was not able to give me my card number for security reasons and asked if it would have been possible to use Apple Pay. Apple Pay is *not* supported by this property so this was not going to be an option for me. Jacob then proceeded to ask me why I was calling customer service. I explained that I was trying to obtain my card number so he could input it into the system. He then retracted what he had previously said and told me that since he already ran my alternate card he would not be able to reverse it. The only way out of that would be for me to come back and talk to a manager the next morning. I don't care to go into any more details about this--- only that my boyfriend came in to grab the keys and saw the look on Jacob's face. When I met him outside I asked him if he could tell that Jacob was being impudent toward me-- He said "Yes." If I had to explain it, it was the extreme feeling of anger in his eyes that I couldn't shake. During this whole interaction, I had the agent from American Express on the phone. I didn't care to speak to Jacob any longer-- I simply said "Thank you" and walked out of the lobby. The agent from AMEX heard the entire conversation and said "I could tell your front desk experience with the gentleman at the front desk (referring to Jacob) was impolite and discourteous. She then proceeded to apologize on his behalf as this wasn't the type of experience that they condone for Marriott Bonvoy members. I agreed. For this alone, I can't recommend staying here.

They also have a brand new little dog park, which is gated in and has plenty of space for my little dogs to play. Parking is easy and so far has been extremely safe, which is awesome I love my couch as well because it has outlets and I can easily charge my devices and work from the sofa. There's also an oversized ottoman that you can put your feet up on The shower has beautiful glass doors and really nice white tiles on the wall. Best part about it though is it has good water pressure, which is huge for getting all the shampoo out of my hair. The shower also has shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. They don't use the little plastic bottles which I love because those are terrible for the environment. It's also very quiet and peaceful here. Most of the people here are workers from out of town who go to work early in the morning and come back in the evening so most of the time I have the hotel to myself. They also have a snack shop upfront so when I'm feeling lazy, I can go up and buy snacks which is great because DoorDash can get expensive The maids do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms. I came back and it was like I've never even stayed in the room. It was sparkling. I haven't had the breakfast here, but I've seen their spread and it's very nice. I love interior design and their lobby is stunning. Jay, the general manager, was very nice and gave me a large dog bed and water dish for my dogs. They also have complementary dog snacks in the lobby. Just another little perk that makes it feel like home for me and my dogs. Thank you guys so much for making my stay wonderful. I love this hotel

Pros: no bugs, no bad smells, located close to good restaurants, shopping, sun valley Mall, the door locks, the TV and remote works, the AC works, the mini fridge works, the lights all work, shower works well and has warm water. Cons: Firstly, there was "evidence of intimate 'seggsual' activities" on the bedding, see photos. Epically disgusting. Renovated rooms are being neglected so it's pretty stained (rugs, bedding, walls), damaged (ceiling, walls, toilet top), and dirty (stained walls, bedding, filthy carpeting)-yeah redundant on the cleanliness. Kinda surprised there isn't a gross smell, I guess give it a couple more years. Lumpy pillow, no facial tissue, just empty box This is a MOTEL not a hotel. A hotel has more amenities, like breakfast, pool, etc. Would only recommend if they have a clean room, but I think they "know what they have" and are content to offer this to their customers, and probably complain how spoiled we are to expect clean rooms. From a global perspective maybe we are, but that's the business they signed up for.

Room was spacious and very clean, bathroom too. Linens were amazingly comfortable. It's a beautiful property. I loved it, everything was super clean and spotless, and I'm a huge critic for cleanliness! Even the restaurant was delicious! Came with children and it was a perfect stay. I can't wait to return!!

I reserved and prepaid $977.28 through the AAA Travel website for a Premium Two King Beds room. My confirmation clearly states that I purchased a Premium Two King Beds room. Before traveling, I also called the hotel directly to verify my reservation, and I was assured everything was confirmed. Upon arrival, I was informed that my room type was no longer available. Instead of the two king beds I had reserved and paid for, I was given a room with only one king bed and a rollaway bed. I was traveling with my elderly mother and my adult daughter. Because the rollaway bed was not suitable for my daughter, my mother had to sleep on the rollaway bed for our three-night stay. This was not the room I purchased, and it significantly affected our comfort during our trip. I immediately asked whether another room was available or whether the hotel could provide a discount or other accommodation. I was told the hotel was sold out and that nothing could be done. The staff was not empathetic and repeatedly stated that because I had booked through a third party, there was nothing they could do. After returning home, I contacted the hotel again. During that conversation, I was told that I had been "bumped" because I booked through a third party and that had I booked directly through the hotel, they would have honored my reservation. I find this unacceptable. My reservation was confirmed, paid in full, and verified directly with the hotel before my arrival. Guests should not receive inferior accommodations simply because they booked through an authorized travel partner such as AAA. I respectfully request: * A partial refund for failing to provide the room category I paid for. * A written explanation as to why my confirmed reservation was not honored. * An explanation of the hotel's policy regarding confirmed reservations made through AAA and other authorized travel agencies. I have already opened a case with AAA Travel and hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.

For one, it is very quiet at night. Clean laundry room. The hotel provides bedding and towels and a few more basics you might need. Some people live here, some just stay a few nights. The place needs updates. The brown curtains and yellowish brown walls are screaming to be put out of their misery. I think this place helps people who may be down on their luck. Offering a home like feel with a small kitchen area. For whatever reason people may need an 'in between ' place to call home for a few months, this will provide that. Pets are allowed which is really nice. Front desk staff are super nice and helpful.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Extended Stay…read more I booked a reservation through Hotels.com. Shortly after booking, I called the reservation department and spoke with two different representatives, both of whom instructed me to contact the hotel directly to add my husband's name to the reservation. I then called the hotel and spoke with Adam at the front desk. He told me that the person whose name was on the reservation had to check in and present the payment card. At no point did he tell me that my husband's name needed to be listed first on the reservation. To make sure everything was correct, I contacted Hotels.com and had both my name and my husband's name added to the reservation. When my husband arrived to check in with his service animal, Adam refused to check him in, stating that because my name was listed first, he could not honor the reservation. When I called Adam to explain that he had never mentioned anything about the order of the names on the reservation, he continued changing his explanation instead of acknowledging that he had provided incomplete information. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the conversation. After refusing service, my husband asked Adam to provide his refusal in writing. Adam declined and simply told him, "You can contact the manager on Monday." This entire situation could have been avoided if accurate information had been provided from the beginning. Instead, we were given conflicting instructions, treated disrespectfully, and denied the accommodations we had reserved. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, and I would not recommend staying at this location.
