I came to Sonia because I was unhappy with my hair color from the last place I went. My grown-out highlights were bold & brassy and my grays were on full display. So I got a cut and she fixed the color. I loved the way she toned down the colors & helped all them blend nicely. And I loved the cut too. I have very thick, curly hair but she was able to tame the beast. I love my hair now! On a side note, the Regency Salon is a beautiful space with each individual salon in its own private little room.

And, if you're not sure what you want, she will consult with you and get to know you so she can help you get there. She spends the time and truly cares about your experience. Sonia is also hands down THE BEST at giving a head massage. I have a lot of favorite experiences when I get my hair done but that is the icing on the cake! Since the beginning of time Sonia has also made excellent recommendations on hair products - it sustains my color, smells good, is not too costly, and lasts a long time. I have also never been pressured to buy any products from her and she will give you an honest opinion on her product experience if you ask her. She has a lot of knowledge so don't be shy to ask!

A friend recommended her to me and I've been driving from Orange County to Pasadena every 6-8 weeks for the past 9 years. Walking into her salon, I know I will be greeted with a smile and a cup of water or tea while we discuss my hair goals for that appointment. She actually listens when you ask her for just a trim.. and the way she cuts my hair it looks great whether I air-dry my hair or style it. Her scalp massages are amazing and so relaxing. If you need hair product recommendations she always knows what will work with your hair texture and has taught me how to properly blow dry and curl my hair. The past few months have been difficult for me and I really wanted a change.. so I decided to change my hair color. First time dying my hair so I always knew I would only trust my hair color with Sonia. I showed her my Pinterest inspiration board and based on my skin tone she mixed the perfect color. I really appreciated that she took her time with our color consultation because I felt confident that she would make my hair dreams come true. I was very happy with the end result and have received many compliments! I always recommend Sonia for haircuts, color and her amazing blowouts that last 3 days! I have naturally very curly hair so it tends to be dry, but with her amazing products my hair looks and feels very healthy. How can I begin? Sonia is amazing! Not only is she a super sweet person, she is also extremely talented when it comes to hair. I went with the idea of a look change, and she was able to guide me and give me suggestions for both color and cut. I would like to share the horrible experience I had with Sonia the colorist. I had been her client for about five years. I had always been pleased with her work. However, the last year I was going with her her work wasn't as good anymore the last appointment I had with her, she colored my hair and I was not happy with the color. My hair color looked very brassy at the end of the appointment. I told her Sonia, my hair looks brassy, and she pretty much ignored me. Then she told me the amount I owed her I paid $500 for that appointment. When she told me the amount, I was so shocked I told her Sonia that is a lot of money. Her response then get another job so you can afford me! I couldn't believe her response the amount she charged me. Is that the way you treat someone treat a client after five years going with you That same night I texted her a picture of my hair and she ignored my text. She went as far as even blocking me from her phone and on her Instagram. I was never rude to her at all. None of my messages were rude to her I just kept texting her. Hey Sonia, can you please fix my hair color because it looks too brassy, but she never responded again. She blocked me from her phone and Instagram, I would never go back to her. I do not recommend anyone going to her. Her customer service is horrible and she says she's a professional colorist. A professional colorist would do what the client wants! Especially after paying $500.00p read more

Sonia have been doing my hair for a couple of years and I've followed her over from her old place to her new studio. Her new studio is absolutely cute! It provided a lot more privacy and intimacy. I did some roots touch up, blonde bayalage with some silver strands and got a hair cut. She really took her time to make sure I got the color I wanted in my hair and I can't thank her enough for it!! This is the same Sonia who was at Brenton Lee Salon! I was able to find her! Thank goodness because this girl does amazing work! Sonia is the best. I came in for a haircut and from the beginning she was so lovely. Took time to talk to me, washed my hair, put in a lovely hair mask and set me up under her dryer. Washed my hair again and give me massage. Hair cut was great, blow dryed me and send me on my way. The salon is very nice and clean. She also validates your ticket. read more

I had never ever colored my hair before so I was quite apprehensive about what it would look like but I am so glad I took the chance! She is very professional and will do an over the phone consultation before your first visit so there are no surprises when you see her. She is VERY thorough and takes her time - my first appointment took 4 hours! Since it was my first time she recommended a very subtle change and I am so glad I went with her advice. Before this first appointment, Sonia asked to review a couple of photos of my hair and called me to talk about exactly what I wanted and spent as much time today before choosing the color to make sure I understood how the base/highlights/lowlights would look. I am so happy to have found Sonia. I have had a difficult time finding someone I could trust to cut my hair the way I like it and not experiment on me. She is so kind, has a wonderful vibe and is very skilled. She's in a beautiful suite and it's a pleasure to be there. She works with women and men, short hair and long hair, does color and can help with any hair issues you may be having. She validates 1 hour of parking, too. Truthfully, it was like meeting a friend. She took the time to explain her method and gave me suggestions on how to style my hair. I appreciate that she takes into account head shape when she makes her cut recommendations. After having been to plenty of stylists who seem like they're listening and then seem to do something else completely, it was incredibly heartening to find a stylist who listens, repeats it back, and then executes the cut as described. I have had the privilege to be her client for 4 years now and she consistently delivers a great cut. Sonia is so amazingly talented!!! I was so scared going in because I have had so many people mess up my hair. I had a messed up "natural ombré" that was like a line across half my hair and Sonia got rid of it and gave me the hair look I always wanted ! She is the definition of a master hair colorist. She completely color corrected my hair, got rid of the line, brought back my natural roots, and gave me a natural blonde balayage look ! She definitely will not rob you of your money ! His station was also very cute and calming, with plants around the mirror and a dream catcher. I deal with anxiety, so I really appreciated his relaxing energy during the appointment. I usually get my trims done in Beverly Hills with my longtime stylist, and I was pleasantly surprised that the price here was about the same -- $120, which is pretty standard for a good trim in Beverly Hills as well. She has helped me bleach my roots and hair multiple times, and each time she does a better job than the last. She did a wonderful job, even changing products on me halfway through the processing when I complained that my scalp was hurting due to the use of too harsh of chemicals on my hair. She ran a deep hair mask through my hair to keep it silky soft, so my hair wouldn't frizz, and even gave me leopard spots on my bangs when I asked for them!
