Not sure what took me so long to write this review, but I have to say I was going away with my experience here. From the beginning to the end was completely hands-on and I asked 1 million questions, which they were there for, which is huge. My story, I ended up backing into a white and yellow caution pole that I was unaware of nor did my car detect and it made a pretty significant crunch in my car. As you can imagine, I was devastated, my car is brand new. I knew it was my mistake, I owned up to it, and made the appointment a few weeks later. Btw Honda of Burien recommended them. Took it in for a quote, they were able to look at the job and give me the details, and schedule my appointment. They were booked out a bit and they needed my car for a few days- news to me. They had a car rental in house, which ummmm wasn't my favorite, but you know what I'm thankful. I get anxiety of cars breaking down, sooo alll in my head. Anyways they called me and when I got there I was in Awww, sooo happy for the work done. Someone on yelp wrote a review about the paint- mine was and is fine and he told me what I need to do to make sure my paint is good to go- i adhered and my car paint is perfect! The people are friendly, they have a quick quote process, easy drop off and pick up, great status updates. My car was immaculate when I picked it up. The staff discovered an issue with my headlight wiring that was unrelated to the collision I had been in. they worked to determine there were some burnt wires and tried to replace the part. it was difficult to find so they gave us the information and we took care of it. we so appreciate the above and beyond work. read more

UPDATE: Corey contacted me and offered to do a full detail of my Corolla. I'm impressed with their customer service and will continue to bring my vehicles to them! Thank you Sonic Collision. The overall body work was impressive but I was extremely disappointed to see how they handled the interior of my car. Someone had hit the rear right side side of our brand new 2020 Toyota Corolla a few months after we had purchased it. We brought it into Sonic Collision, as we have done business with them twice before and their work has been impeccable. This was not the case with our Corolla. While they did a good job with the body work, the inside of our vehicle was treated carelessly. There was a thick layer of dust and other debris in/on every surface of the vehicle. When we had given them the vehicle the inside was completely spotless and had that 'new car smell'. Now I'm in the position of having to pay for someone to thouroghly detail the inside due to all of the dust everywhere, as I can't seem to get rid of it myself. I have been a loyal customer to Sonic Collision, but now I think that the next time I will be bringing my business elsewhere. read more

I've been meaning to update my previous review because, well, we had something more than just a dimple in the bumper. This time, our trunk lid had been crumpled and needed to be replaced. Not that the insurance company thought so, but the fine folk at Sonic worked (read: argued) with them until they saw the light and agreed to pay for a replacement. The work took a little longer than expected (likely because of the haggling) but Sonic's folks kept us up to date. When the job was done, you couldn't tell it wasn't 100 percent original. Sorry I had to use them, but glad I chose THEM over someone else. Top-notch service in all regards. Hope you never need them but if you do, you won't be sorry! read more

If you ever get work done there, make sure to keep contract and receipt otherwise they may redo computers and not keep your info. I had my car there twice and after 8 years my paint job started to fade. I waited another 4 years to have the lifetime warranty cover my terrible paint job. Nope I'm stuck with my car looking terrible because my receipt didn't survive house fire! I gave 1 star because paint job didn't last and they wouldn't repaint it even tho the car is rememberable! read more

Took my brand new Subaru Outback Wilderness into Sonic Collision to repair a minor fender bender. They gave me a great quote, worked directly with my USAA insurance and after they got it in the shop, had it repaired and back to me in one week, good as new! I have zero experience with vehicle accidents and when I called to see about towing the wrecked car there, Michelle kept it brief. I didn't really know what to ask but I was confident enough in their responses to get it towed there. Once there, we were helped quickly, we walked around the car with Allison, she listened to the story, she asked questions, she acknowledged the sentimentality of the car. She helped us with all the scenarios from paying out of pocket vs insurance, and total repairs vs making the car drivable. 5 stars for sure! This was my first visit here. Everyone was very professional and friendly starting from the front desk to the owner. I was given a time frame for the repair of my vehicle and it was done right on time! The staff kept me updated on my vehicle. They also offer loaners with s $200 deposit and the deposit is returned to you when you bring back the loaner with no damages etc. The car repair looks fantastic; you would never know where the damage was. I'm reading a lot of happy reviews here but I have to say my experience with Sonic Collision was not so stellar. Everyone seemed friendly and competent at estimate and drop off as they always do but the issues didn't arise until it was delivery time. My car was scheduled to be finished on a Friday and I was to pick up my car at 4 PM. I got a ride to the shop and the girl at the counter looks at me with a weird, shifty look that I know can't mean anything good. She calls someone on the phone and then tells me that my car won't be ready for pick up until Monday, maybe. That would have been nice to know...yesterday. Or this morning. Or an hour ago. So, I was SOL, and would now have a weekend with my car and would have to schedule rides to and from work for a few more days. Come Monday, I was told my car wouldn't be ready until Tuesday, something about paint being unpresentable. Ok. So I show up Tuesday and it's ready but paint issues are still clearly visible. Very, very visible "drip" lines in the paint. If that's how bad the paint looked on the 2nd try, I'd hate to imagine the first. And somehow, they managed to peel back the window tint on my driver's side and didn't bother to mention it. So I said something, and it was like I offended the manager. He said, "If you want us to fix it we can, but it might not match." No, I'd prefer you peel it and tell me to just live with it. Of course I want it fixed. So they sent it to a Jim's Detail, which at the time the work was OK, but now it's separating from the window from a shoddy application. One of the major issues that I still have with their body work is they replaced the driver's door and now it catches and creaks and groans when you open it. Most every time. It's not a smooth, fluid opening. I have to constantly apply lubricant to the hinge or I will really have to push to open or close the door. Can you believe the manager tried to say, "That's how they come from the factory." Yeah, right. And then a final complaint, when I was driving home, my mirror control arm cover came off (more accurately, shot off) and hit me in the face when I was driving on the freeway. They couldn't even secure that down properly. But, maybe you'll get a good repair? read more

After getting in an auto accident with my brand new Forester, I had the tow company tow it to the parking lot of Sonic Collision for repair. While it took weeks due to the amount of damage, Sonic was extremely helpful, and took care of me. They kept me updated on a weekly basis on the progress of my car, and I will definitely recommend them to anyone who is needing some body work done to their vehicle. After my car was done, it looked fantastic!! Like it had never been in an accident before, the job they did was that excellent. I accidentally backed over a low stump I couldn't see, which hooked up under my plastic molded bumper cover, and when I drove forward, it yanked my bumper cover off! There was no way around it, I had to get it replaced. I slapped a bunch of duct-tape on and came to Sonic Collision Center at the recommendation of a friend. I was more than pleasantly surprised. They did everything they needed to do, and because it took about 24 hours, they gave me a free loaner car so I could still get to work. I had one small hiccup which was that it wasn't really made clear to me that it would take 24 hours. They had said that it would take a day, but I didn't understand that they meant over night. That kind of mix up could be called my fault too, since they didn't say it would be ready "same day," but I was just glad that they gave me the loaner car so I didn't need to worry too much about it. They accommodated my schedule nicely and the whole thing was no hassle at all. The new bumper matches beautifully, and makes the car look almost like new (now that it has no dents or scratches in it anymore!) My only other nit-pick is that the loaner car was a PT Cruiser, and I hate those cars. But again- it's a whine on my part and doesn't affect their great customer service and reasonable price for replacing my bumper. Thanks Sonic! read more

I purchased my first ever brand new car at the end of 2019. I curled the corner of the driver side door myself not paying attention backing up with my door open like a PHUCKING IDIOT. *face palm* I decided to not process a claim and pay for the repair out of pocket as my punishment. I posted in my local community group about where to take my car and Sonic Collision was suggested more times than any other place. The repair was more than I thought it would be but isn't everything nowadays? Cory and Alison were genuinely nice people to deal with during the scheduling of my appointment and during pick up. There was one little teeny tiny complaint about their not so pleasant receptionist that I spoke to Cory about at pickup. I don't see a need to deduct any points for that because the work, the speed of the work (I had my car back in about 48 hours) and the quality of the repair made up for any unpleasantness. And it was such a nice surprise that my car was washed and vacuumed! (I can't do it myself due to back issues and due to COVID-19, I can't pay to have it done right now.) I just got my 1998 F-150 back from Sonic after having some paint work done. What a beautiful job they did. Cam even managed to get the pin striping, which nobody has any longer, custom made. I have been bringing my vehicles to Sonic for 20+ years and they have never failed to make me a happy camper. Cam, Cory, Allison and everyone else I have dealt with are first class people. I took my car to Sonic after a car accident on a Wednesday. I had been rear-ended pretty hard core and my back window had been blown out. It was taped up with some plastic and a ratchet strap when I dropped it off. It took a few days for the insurance company to come and look at my vehicle to determine an estimate. I got an estimate communicated to me the following Tuesday from the insurance company. The next day, so one full week since I'd originally dropped off the car, I went to pick up my remaining items in the car and sign it over to the insurance company (the car had been totaled). When I was there to pick up my few personal items out of the car, I saw that the car was parked with it's broken back window facing the green space behind the land that Sonic Collision is situated upon. The car was dirty, and the key didn't work, it was a bit of a mess. The plastic on the back window had been ripped. I looked inside the car for my personal items, and several of them were missing. Things like a tape-deck adapter, a cell phone holder that attaches to the windshield, a water bottle, the ratchet strap, etc. I approached an employee near me and asked him if there was somewhere they might have placed my personal items and who I should ask about that. He told me he'd get someone from the office. Out comes Cameron. I told Cameron some of my stuff was missing and before I could finish my sentence he said, "Well my techs wouldn't steal anything so we know that's not what happened." I was shocked because I hadn't accused anyone of stealing anything. I merely thought they had taken my items out of the car and placed them somewhere and forgot to put them back. I told him which items I was looking for and his response was, "Are you sure those were in there? Are you sure you didn't forget?" As a woman, the question was hard to swallow, but his condescending tone is what made it feel horrible. He clearly thought I was some forgetful woman. There was this man, supposedly working in customer service, not only invalidating my reality, but completely not believing my concern or even caring that insult had been added to injury here! I just got in a horrific car accident, and now my stuff is being stolen out of that same car. The stuff wasn't super expensive, I don't actually care that much about the items. But the way in which Cameron spoke to me was unacceptable, rude, and sexist. I told Cameron that I was sure the items were in there when I left the car with Sonic. His response to that was, "Well that's why you sign a waiver. We're not responsible for your personal items on our lot. You know, we've had problems with homeless people coming down through the green space and it could be that they climbed in through the plastic sheet and took all the items you claim to be missing." I was SHOCKED to discover that Sonic has REGULARLY had a problem with non-authorized staff entering the grounds owned by Sonic Collision where they are storing their clients property. If this was such a regular problem, it would behoove them to tell us this when we sign the waiver that we should be METICULOUS about clearing our personal items from the car. I couldn't believe he was telling me this as though it would make me feel better. He disdainfully offered to pay me back for the few items after I spoke with the other staff in the front office. He made it clear that if he was going to pay me back, he'd pay me back out of his own pocket. I was so insulted, invalidated, and feeling violated that I asked for his card, told him I would get back to him tomorrow, and left. I told my husband the story and he called their office and spoke with Cameron. Cameron reiterated to my husband that he thought that I must have forgotten or somehow was mistaken. My husband asked him, point blank, if he actually thought I, his wife, was lying. Cameron said that he didn't think I was lying, but thought that I must not be remembering correctly because his techs would never steal from a client. My husband tried to point out to him that this invalidates my reality. Cameron didn't care. He, again, offered to pay out of his own pocket for the items but my husband, too, felt the offer was dripping with disdain. The offer was not genuine. Other than my interaction with Cameron, Sonic was great. The front desk staff is fantastic and sweet. They coordinated my rental car so easily and well. If I hadn't had this interaction with Cameron, and if some of my stuff hadn't mysteriously gone missing, I would likely have recommended anyone to them... but because of all this, they get 2 stars from me. Ladies? Send your husband to this office if you want them to take you seriously. read more
