I'm anti social sometimes. the mushroo.s were great, the chicken was burn your mouth hot. the texas toast was limp and pathetic. I love the texas toast. but overall it was a great quick meal. the lady working the drive through was exceptionally great. the chicken was still juicy. the mushrooms are great dipped into the Honey mustard. no pictures because I couldn't take the time.

It was our first Slim Chickens experience. I got the crispy classic chicken sandwich and fried mushrooms. She got the cayenne ranch chicken sandwiches. It was $27 and change. So a little pricey but from what I understand everything is made to order. We both loved our sides, but the chicken sandwiches were kind of lackluster and sad. They were small and the chicken was a little tough. Especially for the price.... $5.49 and $7.19. The best of both worlds would be to get your chicken sandwiches from Popeyes at $4.99 ea. Maybe grab some biscuits too.... And then grab them mushrooms and okra from Slim Chickens. Maybe we hit them on a bad night.... But when you have chicken in your name it should be what you nail... Right? My three stars are based solely on the sides and service. Service was fantastic and that's being said having never gone inside. Taking our order at the board to the international at the window. Stellar! The sides. Cooked perfectly and really great options for a drive through! The chicken sandwiches. They just fell short. We'd try them again, but with Charlotte's Kitchen, Chicken Heat, and so many other options in the metro.... It's hard to justify paying that much again for what we got tonight.

I bought a Jack Daniels bottle and while leaving the store I accidentally dropped the bottle inside the store and made me feel worst in the world.. I am really sorry for the mess I made.. But hyvee employee came to the rescue and offered one more bottle just with bottle charge of 5 scents.. I felt good is still in this world.. You guys are Awesome.. Lot parking, typical fast food prices. Salads here are $8.19 as of this writing. I had gotten one of these salads recently at another Wendy's, so I already knew that I would like it. Unfortunately, healthy picks like salads are pricier than regular fast food. My previous salad had a nice mix of different lettuces. This one had 95% iceberg lettuce and maybe 4 small leaves of others. This is why the 4 star instead of 5 stars. As for the rest, really good. It has cranberry raisins(crasins), roasted pecans, apples, grilled chicken, and pomegranate vinaigrette. The seasoning on the chicken was a bit spicy(the last salad it wasn't). Otherwise, this was really good and I look forward to getting another one in the future. It would be fairly easy to assemble a salad like this at home woth precooked chicken. I don't cook or assemble, so I'll get them from Wendy's. I also got a frosty tag for my keychain.

It took a long time as well so I didn't send it back. I packed it up to take home. The chicken tenders are breaded with panko. My kids did NOT like that texture. The farfalle spaghetti was lacking depth of flavor. The only food that was left to critique was the Buffalo Blast's which were very satisfying to Mr W. (This is his usual go to item.) Overall, I prefer not to come here for dinner or with kids. The service is different on a Saturday night. This visit was the second visit this year. I made a third visit after this one recently and it was still very off for me. I retried the steak and it was the same situation; undercooked and full of fat. I miss the old Cheesecake Factory vibes I got back in 2004-2005. But sometimes we have to move on with nostalgia.

They also had a Happy Hour from 3-6 that I found on HappyHourDesMoines.com, so thought this would be a great Monday stop for dinner with family visiting from out of town. Clearly, this visit was MUCH better than the last one and I found it to be an overall solid pub experience. Nothing stood out as extremely good (other than possibly the onion rings), but everything was well above-average. My wife ordered the Kansas Rancher burger with Onion Rings (see picture), my Dad ordered the House Special pizza (see picture) and I ordered the South Philly burger (see picture). I walked around to the front door side of the bar again to order my beer...but not before the male bartender 'tattled' to the female that she shouldn't serve me because we were a group of 3. I explained that I was going to drink my beer on my own, so she served me. Then, my wife and son were told that they couldn't sit at that small bar table after all, as they wanted to seat restaurant patrons there - so they came over to join me by the front door. When my wife went up to order the same beer I was drinking, the female bartender was very rude, wouldn't serve her and said I wasn't allowed to drink by the front door. I have no idea what the actual rule was, after being told two different things...but after the way she treated my wife, we removed our names from the waiting list and immediately left the restaurant. The waiting list at Jethro's up the street was similar, we were able to have a beer in peace while waiting and the food was great. I was looking forward to trying their food, but unfortunately after this experience we probably won't return and wouldn't recommend this restaurant until they figure out what their COVID rules are and begin to treat their customers with respect. We analyzed the places available and decided Arby's was the winner! lol We ordered onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and a roast beef sandwich. The onion rings/mozzarella sticks were HOT and FRESH and DELISH - we had to wait a little while for them to be cooked but it was well worth it (anyone knows that cold fast food is sad fast food). The roast beef sandwich was alright - pretty standard-fare. Overall, it filled the bill for the evening. Keep it up, Arby's!
