Hours. They lie when they want to. Close at 1 per Sonic website on Friday and Saturday not 12.

Drive through stating they close at 12 when I arrive at 12:20 technically Sunday but Saturday night and the bull-crapping woman told me that google hasn't updated it for months. Its on Sonics website as closing at 1 not 12 not google. Second if you have the headset on for the drive through you know you don't close at 12, cutting out early and lying to customers hoping your owner doesn't find out. Will never return to this location unless this type of behavior is dealt with.

BMW navigation decided to route us through the scenic route on our way home from Ocean City, so we drove through Delaware. After miles and miles of farms, crops, and cows, we finally hit an intersection and I saw Sonic from afar. Since my boyfriend has never tried it, and I haven't had it in forever -- we just had to stop here! There's indoor and outdoor seating, but I wanted to get the full Sonic experience. We parked in a drive-in spot and explored the menu. When you're ready to order, you press the red button that says "Press Here to Order," and when you're done, you just slide your credit card and the food will arrive via a server on rollerblades in a few minutes! We ordered the chili cheese tots, french toast sticks, breakfast burrito, jalapeno poppers, and a peach limeade. Our food was good, but the only memorable thing were the chili cheese tots which were AMAZING... melted cheese and chili over tater tots, YES PLEASE. However, I also liked how there were so many different flavors for the limeades, slushes, and shakes. I wish there were more Sonics closer to us, but at least we now know where to go after Ocean City!

Like the food from BDs is now caught in a traffic jam in my intestines, Sonic has been in my backlog of reviews. And with any backlog, especially food babies, relief is sooooo good! I've been to several Sonic's out in Kansas City and while all the commercials were tempting, I never felt compelled to drive out to one. On the way to Rehoboth Beach my GPS took us on a rather odd route as the line of cars on 404 all turned left but we kept going straight. And then I saw it! SONIC!!! I then renamed it God's Positioning System b/c clearly God wanted me to eat at Sonic. My astute and loving wife rhetorically asked, "We're going here on the way back, huh?" Location/Service - I'm going to start with the location and service b/c if you've never been to a Sonic, you're probably going to be confused. There are several spots around the perimeter. Park in one, peruse the menu, and when you're ready, press the red button that has the note "Press This Button to Order." Come to think of it, that's not that confusing now is it? There's a credit card reader on the menu board or you can pay cash when they bring out your food. I went to one Sonic where the workers were on skates but they just walk here. They bring you your order and you eat in your car, and if you need something, just push the red button. Now this may sound convenient and fun, which it is in Kansas, but as they say, you're not in Kansas anymore. Gone are the friendly smiles when you request a BBQ sauce or more napkins. Instead, you now get a mild to severe rolling of the eyes; and I guess the employees need some floss b/c they kept sucking their teeth. In fact, it felt largely like a drive thru banking experience - good if the transaction is smooth but a pain if you need to make adjustments. And don't think you can go inside to pick something up for yourself either b/c there's nothing inside except tables. Speaking of the interior, it's pretty much the same setup but replace your car with standard fast food booths and instead of the red button, you have a red phone which makes you feel like you're using the Batphone. Food - We ordered the Sonic Cheeseburger, a grilled chicken wrap, a large order of tater tots, and a large strawberry lime slush (total: $10.58). The burger was rather plain as was the wrap. The tots had an odd texture to them (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/PMiK71xDViOvoI30vhlK2g?select=17oNp2JXLoFWonRBMHOovQ), almost as if they were breaded and I probably should've gotten them covered in cheese. The strawberry lime slush though, was fantastic! After the rather unsatisfying meal, I decided to order Fried Ice Cream for dessert ($2.78) b/c like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, fried and ice cream are a few of my favorite things. It was essentially their softserv ice cream (slightly better than McD's, not nearly as good as Chick-Fil-A's ice dream) with caramel sauce and what resembled little pieces if cinnamon toast crunch. So disappointing. All in all, Sonic in DE was a disappointing experience. So maybe it was just God's way of making sure I didn't drive out there just to eat. Ahhhh~ backlog relief: it's FAN-tastic!

I liked it! It was my first Sonic experience in a long time, and it was what we needed when we needed it. I got a Sonic cheeseburger, which actually wasn't too greasy. It was also pretty well put together - the bun wasn't smushed and the toppings were neatly distributed. Others got the Sonic breakfast burrito, which was CRAZY (complete with tater tots), and some frozen grape drink. The grape thing seriously tasted like a melted purple popsicle, which tasted good for a couple sips. They got our order correct, delivered it to us, and that was the extent of our experience with the staff. Our time and food choices were pretty limited, but we liked it in general!

100 stars for the drinks. Any drink from Sonic is delicious. Dropped a star because food isn't the greatest.

Uh...did they forget how to make food. Super slow and unprofessional, but the food tasted as expected so it least they got that right.

Of course we couldn't resist a couple apple cider donuts too. The sandwich I had was a great fill me up before the ride home. So I had to put back the nine dollars worth of turkey burgers and $11 worth of beets all because I didn't want to be imposed a 3% charge to use my DEBIT card. Debit means they get the money right away anyway. Minimal processing and it immediately goes to them from my checking account. Henceforth, I will only stop when I know have enough cash to get some meats, veggies and cookies. MEANING: instead of 12 visits a year it will probably be in the neighborhood of six times a year. And I won't be spending as much because I tend to spend more When I know I can pull it directly out of my bank account. My estimation is they will lose $600/yearly from me. I have to believe at least 5% of their current customer base will follow suit perhaps excepting summertime crowds who pass by it on the way to Ocean City, Maryland on their vacations. How dumb to alienate customers. Sorry to say. Their founder's in 1907 would be sad. I've loved you for a long time and this is how you repay mine and other's patronage? I'll be back because it's a cool place. Just spending a lot less.

People were waiting in line 10-15 just to order, do to everyone being in the back and one person out front. I ordered just 4 chicken strips with no fries and a drink but, kept being told the fries come with it. I told her no dipping sauce and she kept asking what dipping sauce I wanted and if I wanted a drink. I finally had to slow it down and explain to her I only wanted the chicken tenders, not the meal. Then she charged me for the meal anyway so I had to go back up to the counter and tell her she charged me wrong, she stated that since I didn't want the fries and drink that the meal comes with it's still charged as a meal. Another lady had to explain to her she overcharged me and that I only was suppose to be charge $5 and some change for 4 chicken strips so she had to put it through and send it back to my card. Then my husbands fries tasted cold and old plus his sandwich was just thrown together. The people in the back don't care what they serve you as long as they get it to you and it's disgusting. Bathrooms smelled so bad I couldn't even use them and they hadn't been cleaned in a few days. When he got his sundae from getting the $7 meal deal there was maybe a spoonful of caramel sauce on the whole sundae. I won't be back to this one ever, Denton, MD. has the best Dairy Queen around that's probably why they are ranked higher and have been getting achievements left and right. This one needs a full overhaul and fast because what is going on there now is not good service, good food or a clean atmosphere. They need a darn manager who actually cares and puts time into the place plus the workers working there.
