Everything went well. Food looks good ... foot long chili cheese dog, wrinkled, cut fries, and a medium size cherry limeade. ( hot dog looked old after flipping it up) But I'm hungry and there will be enough for one more meal out of dog & fries. The young lady that brought my food out was extremely nice and friendly. I always tip them, to me it's the polite thing to do. Either you eat in your car or you take it home so it's hard to say what kind of atmosphere there is. If I'm in my car, I got the ac blowing cold and I'm jamming to some tunes and eating. Sonic has a great variety of food, drinks, and desserts so you can't go wrong ! I can here at 9 pm, 2 hours before they close. All of the stalls were closed and only the drive-through or patio was open. When I went to order food, they said that it would be a 25-30 minute wait for food. When I told them that I would wait, they asked me what I wanted. I proceeded to give them my order. After telling them the first item of my order, there was 2 minutes of silence. Then, a man comes over the speaker and says "we are not doing food. Only drinks and ice cream." I asked him "why? I was just told there would be a wait for food. And we are okay with waiting." I didn't get a response on what excuse they were using to be lazy. Don't recommend!! 2 hours before closing and the workers just wanted a easy night and to be lazy. Updated: after getting food somewhere else. I passed this sonic again at 9:34, and they were completely closed. 1.5 hours before they were supposed to close. This place is incredibly unreliable. read more

Stopped in for a drink with the kids, I ask if it was possible to get Chocolate Milk on the kids meal, the person on the speaker acted like he had NO IDEA, and then ask well if I cant get chocolate milk, can I get the milk, and just add chocolate sauce, and he acted like it would take an act of congress to get this done. I have been a daily customer at the Elk Drive Sonic for more than 10 years, going through the drive-thru daily for my Cherry Coke. I love the employees. They are always smiling and happy. However, they are constantly running out of supplies. This is a management issue. Today I ordered a large coke. After waiting 16 minutes, the lady handed me a styrofoam cup, not Sonics and a small lid floating inside. When I told her I can't take that, it will spill everywhere, she said all they only have the Root 44 cups and lids and I had to pay an additional $1.78 If I wanted to upsize. No I don't want to upsize, I wanted what I ordered! When I ordered the drink, the person taking my order should have explained there were no cups or lids. Another poor management issue. They served me 5 Oreo Blast a few months ago, with no spoons. They gave me straws. I had 5 kids in the car, with Sonic Blast and no way to eat them. I made them take them back and we went to Sonic on Albury. It's time to train or get a new manager! read more

I went through the drive-in and ordered cheddar peppers, and when I got the order home it was tater tots. Went back to the location (within 15 mins) to let them know the mistake and pick up the correct order, and was told very sweetly by the young lady in the window that I'd have to pay, they weren't going to remake the order that they messed up. Sonic started opening drive in during the 1950's in Oklahoma. The car hop restaurant was all the rave in the 50"s and 60's. Most have died and gone to car hop grill heaven. Sonic is one of those places that has evolved and is still with us today. I always try to stop at the one in Burleson when I am traveling between FTW and points south. The diet cherry limeaides are the best! The makes will load you down with cherries. Plus, you can tell them 'easy' ice and you don't get a cup of ice and a swallow of drink. You will get a little ice and a lot of liquid. The food is typical fast food burger, and fries etc. It is not exceptional, but not bad ether. Right now between 2 -4 pm one can get a Route 44 (hugh drink) for just over a $1.00... that is a good buy. Just off the interstate... follow the signs... This is the worst sonic ever. And no, it's not bc of covid. I've lived here 4 years and it's always been bad. I used to work at sonic in high school. It's not hard to take an order, get it correct then deliver to customer. This location always gets my order wrong. Always. No matter who's working. And forget about easy ordering, they make it so complicated. No common sense. Also, their stall numbers are incorrect. Haven't received multiple orders bc they claim that stall doesn't exist. If I could give it no stars I would have. Went to get drinks. I normally go to the other burleson location on Alsbury but was on that side of town to run errands. Waited in line for 10+mins before we ordered. Person at the window never greeted me just opened the window and told me the total. I handed her my money and she quickly shut the window. Then we had to wait another 7+ minutes to get our 2 drinks. The person at the window gave me the drinks. As I was taking the last drink I went to say Thank You and she had already shut the window. A little while later my daughter had finished her drink and went to eat the ice and found a black hair in her cup I should have driven to the other side of town to go to the Alsbury location. Will never be back to the Elk Dr sonic. read more

All the food tastes the same! The tater tots are never consistent when you get the cheese ones. Burger is rarely hot.

I don't go anymore because they always overcharge. Nothing wrong with their food I just feel like they are stealing from their customers.

Look.. Malari was awesome! Very friendly & patient. I want it noted that I gave 5 stars ONLY because of her. But this Sonic needs to desperately update the card machines, and this is not the only location. I have had problems on Alsbury, Renfro, etc. with the same issue. These girls are busting their ass but they don't have the tools to help the customers to enable them to get high scores. My concern is that they are getting low scores because Sonic won't invest tools for them to succeed. read more

Of the last five times I have gone to the Sonic across from Burleson HS, they have gotten my order wrong four times. This is despite the fact that the order-taker repeats my order correctly (or gets corrected) and it shows up correctly on the display board. I wonder who there is actually in charge of checking the accuracy of the orders before the carhops deliver them??? Tonight, as a participant of the Keto diet (sometimes dirty Keto), I ordered four footling chili cheese coneys, all with no buns, with extra cheese and extra chili, two with jalapeños. As always, I spoke slowly and clearly three times for those dogs. The carhop even told me which bag had the dogs without buns. When I got home - no extra cheese, no extra chili, no jalapeños, and two of the dogs are in buns. I absolutely HATE having to double-check the accuracy of every part of an order before I leave the premises. Perhaps the one in Joshua or Crowley has a better track record. I would gladly go the extra distance to not have to worry about re-checking every little thing. I have had this happen at different places all over the area, but this location seems to be the worst. I have a sonic down the street from where we live. I only order their breakfast food. Every time I try to order ice cream they either get the order wrong, ice cream is melted, they stand around inside and chit chat, or it tastes like it has sand in it. It's very frustrating spending all that money and time for bad service and bad food. I've told many people about my experience and am surprised that they say the same.
