I hate to say this, but...the food at Sonic sucks. It just does. At least at this location. Nothing wrong with the location itself or the service IMO, but if you aren't military you can't get access here. The saving grace, to me, about this Sonic is that it's an easy fix after a good surf at Church Beach. Also, even though the food sucks, their shakes/blasts are excellent. Yeah, they're probably extremely bad for you, but if you have a sweet tooth, Sonic excels here. Other than that, I only buy the actual food here if I'm too lazy to leave post. Well its sad people give this place a 1 star because you can't go if you don't have a base pass. Sorry the military protects those on the base by making you have a pass to get on, sad day for you. Awful. I waited over THIRTY MINUTES, pressing the order button on MULTIPLE stations after waiting 5-10 minutes EACH with NO acknowledgement. Multiple other people were served nearly instantly. My friends were some of those people and they were totally dissatisfied with their food. The breakfast burrito was the size of a small taco. Unacceptable. Update March 2018: No one here cares...I'm not sure how, but they've gotten worse:-/ Def the worst Sonic that I've ever been to and I've kept going back, giving them a second, third, fourth chance...no more. 1st they stopped serving salted caramel in the Salted Caramel shakes...if that's not what I'm getting then change the name! 2nd there is no cheesecake anything in the Cheesecake shakes but they will argue there is 3rd there is always something wrong with our food order, either something missing or not done right. The food is good because it is a Sonic, but there is discernible variance in preparation quality depending on who is preparing the food and what sort of mood they're in. They've made a disaster out of a diet limeade before. The bus girls give good service, but the people taking your order are pretty awful and I've even gotten attitude from them, just incredible. I have waited thirty minutes for a burger before. The service is garbage because they employ wives from base housing and they all seem to have an awful entitlement complex, as if they should get $10/hr without having to actually work. Ate here last night: 1. Ordered two meal combos with no special requests except to make both drinks larges. 2. Order came out with only one drink being a large. 3. BLT Toaster in one meal was soggy (lettuce was very wet). 3. Tots in both meals were cold. 4. Twenty minutes later second drink still not delivered even after asking on intercom once after ten minutes. 5. At twenty minutes, asked again and was told they had no record of our request. This is the slowest service I've experienced at a sonic. I've been here a few times (because it's the only sonic around here) and I've only ordered a drink. Each time I wait at least 10-15 minutes just for a drink. God forbid there's a line, that'll take 20 minutes at least. We didn't get a spoon with the thickest shake in history. COME ON SONIC!! I've been here 3 times in the past 2 years and every time I very disappointed in the food and the service. The first time I came I ordered 4 meals for everyone in the car and every order had something missing. The second time I came through this sonic I ordered a burger and boneless wings. The burger patty was still cold in the center as if it was just left out to defrost but not even cooked. They put the wrong sauce on the wings and didn't include the tots with the meal. Today I went to this sonic and ordered chicken strips with the new sauce and mozzarella sticks. When I opened the bag I had 4 strips instead of 5, they were over cooked, no sauce and I was missing the mozzarella sticks. I am normally not the complaining type of person but this has absolutely have to be the worst food service establishment I have ever been to. I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I love the ice cream here, service is always fast and the workers are always polite. I like that they ride roller skates here. It gives them an old school dinner fill. Not bad for Sonic. I come here all of the time and their ice cream is amazing!! It's extremely rare to get hot french fries here, but by the time I finish my burger I could care less about fries so it's ok. If you're in a hurry I would suggest going through the drive-thru. It does take about 15 minutes to get your food, but it's always worth it. Here are a few things a lot of people don't realize.. 1. It's one of the only Sonics around. 2. They are THE ONLY fast food joint on base and usually the only one open, since their ONE competition closes & opens at late/early. 3. They get flooded with orders from families who don't want to cook and people who all go on break at the same time. 4. A lot of the employees are actually military KIDS that are learning. With that being said.. YES it does take awhile to get your food, but if you truly enjoy Sonic then it is well worth the wait. Especially if you don't want to cook food. I enjoy coming here they've NEVER messed up my order, the employees are far from rude, and they truly seem like they care about their customers. So glad there is a Sonic on base. read more

One thing i need to say is "SONIC BLAST"!!! Oreo with chocolate syrup is the way to go! I got the bacon cheese burger toaster and with fries. Get the DESSERTS!!! Those are the best! Overall great experience and I will definitely go back! I like that you get served with servers on roller skates, thats pretty cool. The service was pretty quick once i ordered my meal through the speaker. You could eat right in your car or you can drive off to many nice places around the area. Sonic has always been known for the desserts so I HIGHLY recommend getting dessert there!! They have a wide variety of desserts and drinks as well. My husband and I came by on our way to our anniversary vacation at Disney. We ordered our food and just hung out waiting, not even realizing how long it was taking (probably 15 minutes or so, maybe a little more). We honestly weren't worried about it what so ever. But when our server Cade came out he immediately began apologizing and his customer service was honestly the best I have ever come across.
