Reposted from the OP (I am NOT the OP)9 I'm an anonymous driver for Uber Eats, and I recently picked up an order for a customer from Sonic. The pickup instructions in the app stated that drivers should press the button at the ordering screen, but upon arrival I was instructed to walk up and ask for the order instead. An employee then motioned from inside for me to come and retrieve it. Unfortunately, the bag they handed me was already defective and had begun tearing on the side. As soon as they passed it to me, the bag completely gave way and the contents spilled onto the ground. What concerned me most was that the employees attempted to pick up the food they considered "salvageable" and place it into a new bag rather than remake the order. I found this to be both unsanitary and unethical. When I objected and requested that the order be remade, the employees refused. They informed me that they would not remake the food, threatened to call the police, and stated they would have my vehicle towed if I did not leave and accept their decision. Because I was unwilling to deliver food that had fallen on the ground, I contacted Uber Support. Uber attempted to intervene and called the restaurant on my behalf in an effort to have the order remade. However, the manager and staff still refused. Ultimately, Uber was only able to offer me half compensation for the time and inconvenience. My primary concern throughout this entire incident was the customer's health and safety. Food that has fallen onto the ground should never be repackaged and served to a customer. Allowing contaminated food to be delivered poses an obvious risk of illness and is completely unacceptable. Is there any way to have the local health department or appropriate agency investigate this location to ensure proper food safety procedures are being followed? Customers place their trust in restaurants to handle food safely, and this experience raises serious concerns about the standards being practiced at this establishment. read more

Horrible drive-thru experience - We ordered the smash burger deal and asked the manager, who was working the drive-thru, for extra napkins. She was visibly annoyed when we asked and responded, "They are in the bag," in a rude tone while rolling her eyes. The napkins were placed underneath the food, and when we found them, they were already soiled with grease from the tater tots. Within less than 10 minutes, the bag had become so greasy that items were starting to fall out. Fortunately only one tater tot and ketchup packets fell out and not an entire burger box. This was our first time eating at this location and trying their smash burger, which turned out to be extremely messy. Given the lack of courtesy and the condition of the napkins and packaging, this will be our last visit. Definitely lacking customer care, quality and customer service skills. read more

? Absolutely not. If I could give this Sonic negative stars, I would. First of all, I asked for the bathroom code. Then I asked again. Then I asked AGAIN. Apparently the bathroom code was classified government information because getting it out of them was harder than ordering the food. Speaking of the food... I ordered a chili dog. What I received was apparently a DIY chili dog construction kit. The hot dog was just... loose. Completely separate. The bun and chili were in the chili dog bag, while the hot dog was thrown in there like it had been evicted from its own home. And before anyone says, "Maybe it was a mistake"--NO. The hot dog had ZERO chili on it. Not a drop. Not a smear. Nothing. They didn't even ATTEMPT to put the hot dog on the chili and bun. I was given the ingredients and apparently expected to assemble my own meal. I also specifically ordered CHEESE tots. What did I get? Plain tots. Because apparently the cheese decided not to show up for work. But the food was honestly only part of the experience. When I went up to the door to ask for my correct order, the staff pointed, laughed, stared, and tried to ignore me. So I just stood there. Quietly. Waiting. Like a determined side character in a video game until someone finally decided to provide customer service. I did not feel welcome. I did not feel appreciated. I did, however, feel like I had entered a social experiment where the goal was to see how long a customer could stand outside before being acknowledged. The chili dog was deconstructed, the cheese tots were cheese-less, the bathroom code was apparently a secret, and the staff made me feel judged for simply existing and asking for the food I PAID FOR. I will NOT be coming back. I came for a chili dog and left with a bun, some chili, a rogue hot dog, plain tots, and a story. read more

Always a good expirence. Fast and nostalgic. Pickle slush was kinda good. Like a punch in the face the 1st sip then 2nd sip is good. But if u wait to long u start that cycle all over again. It was good to try once but too sweet, if I could get it less sweet i would try again. Pickle tots were good. Definitely would try again. read more

Ordered online and wanted Coke no ice but there was no option for it, we spoke to them on the window if they can take the ice out and they said no, the manager said we can not change the order! Really you cant just make one without ice, even if you poured out a 50cent coke cant remake it? Ordered ketchup which was not in the bag either. They were not helpful at all! read more

As an old person, I just started using the online order app. It's actually quite convenient, fairly easy to work through. But the best part was when a young man named Carlos brought my food out to my car, he was the nicest young man, just as pleasant as could be. That makes all the difference in my book. read more

I bank next door, get my oil changed across the street and use the Salon next to Castrol Oil. Plus we do eat at Sonic. So i decided that since I'm getting my oil changed I'll walk across the street and grab a Cherry Limeade. Upon walking over I see that the sign says only Drive-Thru, but all I want is a drink. I push the red button and I assume the manager answers that she's can't help me and I mention I want a drink. She tells me the drive-thru comes first. I mentioned I don't really mind waiting a bit. About 10 minutes later she come back one the specked and says what would you like; I mention one large Cherry Limeade. She almost comes out immediately with it and says $1.86. I thank her, but kinda left a bad taste in my mouth by telling me The Drive-Thur comes first. I would be reluctant to use them for a while based on today's experience. read more

If you want to go to a place where your blatantly disrespected, and when you ask for the gentleman's name, he refuses to give it to you then you asked to speak to his manager and he walks away as if you're not talking to him. This is the place to go if that is what you're looking for in a fast food place in Carson City, Nevada. So unfortunately, I don't have a name to drop, but I do have a description. He was working in the Carson City location off of College parkway around 12:30 PM and he was a shorter heavyset gentleman with a beanie. I use to love this Sonic, but the costumer service and the food quality went down tremendously. The extreme Tater Tots are nothing like it should be. No ranch, no onions, no jalapeños and the size is a joke! The Tater Tots should be loaded with chili, cheese, jalapeños, onions, ranch and the chilly hot dog was a mess...Carson Sonic... I love sonic..typically very high spirits and lots of energy. Today, you would have thought it was the worst day in the face of the earth. If I could give them zero stars I would, I ordered 4 items and they only received 3, when I acknowledged the fact that they messed up and it isnt my fault they didn't hear me max made me a FULL CUP OF ICE CREAM, TOPPED WITH COOKIE DOUGH NOT EVEN BLENDED IN. Worst customer service from Araceli! We ordered via the app and it tells us to go to a stall and check in with a number so we did! She got on the speaker and said the stalls were closed so go thru drive thru or come to the door! She wouldn't listen when I asked for sauce! So we go to the door and she was extremely aggressive and rude and over talking my husband! He asked for sauce to dip the corn dogs and tots in and she only gave us 2 packs for 4 items and refused anymore and said she would have to charge! This is after they were out of the broccoli cheddar tots they advertised! No accommodations or customer service skills at all! read more

The service was trash. I ordered a large strawberry cheesecake master shake with banana. The shake was so sour, I couldn't drink it at all. So I went back to try to bring the shake back and just get a strawberry banana shake without the cheesecake flavor. After expressing how the shake tasted, the young lady I was talking through the speaker with kept saying well there's nothing we can do. I'm like you can't just remake the shake without the cheesecake?? She said no you already paid for the cheesecake flavor. I was like I don't care about the price difference. I have literally never had a meal Prepared correctly. today I ordered popcorn chicken, with ranch ... because no one eats plain chicken and I wanted ranch! How do they forgot the ranch, or like ANY sauce at all,would've been fine. Oh no, and the fries. the fries! you couldn't see any potato , it was just a giant, nasty layer of salt! So we tried here again after a three year hiatus from Sonic. They screwed up a special order that was for a special diet. The spicy steak and bacon melt was supposed to have NO bread so we asked for no texas toast. So they put it on a regular bun which we DID NOT ASK FOR. Plus the popcorn chicken was TERRIBLE. I try to just let things go, but I have had more than one issue with this place and today was no different. I ordered a hot dog, with mustard and pickles, cheesy tots and a drink. Spent several minutes explaining, hot dog mustard and pickles only to the guy. Finally get to the window, look at the receipt, he charged me for a burger combo. I tell the girl at the window I did not want a burger and repeated my order to her, handed her my receipt and said I would be due a refund because the burger combo is more than a hot dog combo. Any place that sends food out to a customer covered in hair should just flat out get zeros. Lost my appetite and I didn't even get to really start on my meal. Guess my decision to go back for dessert is a big fat NO! I won't return to this sonic, not to forget too, they need to change their oil my chicken shouldn't have been as dark and hard to bite into although the flavor of the chicken was decent. UPDATE: I called the sonic before going back to return my meal, they had us go back through the drive thru that was line backed to the road basically. They offered to replace my meal even after I said "I have completely lost my appetite and the disappointment is just unreal, I'd rather just get my money back (OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE NOW I HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE)!!!!! We waited in the drive thru almost a half hour as you couldn't go to the door. I have been a fan of Sonic for a very long time. I have been coming to this location since they first opened. They were out in the middle of nowhere and everyone thought they were nuts to put a fast-food restaurant so far out of town on the road the locals use to bypass downtown to get from 50 to 395. . But then the new freeway went in, businesses started filling in and low and behold, they are now surrounded by town! They have really good fries. They also have really good hamburgers. I also like the retro carhop drive-up concept. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was all freshly cooked and just the way I ordered it. Coming through Carson, it is a fast food alternative on my regular trips from Dayton to Reno. read more

My order rarely gets messed up here but the reason I am giving it a poor review is purely the customer service. Working fast food is never fun but Every time me and roommates decide to get this for a quick dinner I dread it purely because I have to deal with the same girl taking our order every time who honestly makes me feel bad the entire time ordering. I cannot get once sentence out I'm constantly interrupted. It's very frustrating. The teenagers that our usually working have the poorest attitudes I have ever dealt with. Pro tip, just have someone else run the mic. I have had actually had to tell her I'm not down yet because she asked if I wanted anything else and before I could finish my sentence asking for my second meal, she interrupts me and says "9.52 at the window". If I could give them 0 stars I would. The cashier made a mistake on charging me. The sonic employee gave me my food while they figured out their mistake. My kids started eating the food, when I realized Sonic forgot my onion rings. I asked for my onion rings. The employee said she already gave me my onion rings. I told her she did not. The employee wanted to see my bags. I gave her the empty bags because my kids were eating their food. She called my a liar. I said, "you've got to be kidding me." She said, "You don't have to be rude." The Sonic employee is calling me a liar, and I am the one being rude?? I will be sure to tell all companies in that area not to go to Sonic. I went to buy ice the other day for my grandma who is on hospice (may have a couple days left on this earth). I started my order with food and a drink for me then ask to buy a bag of ice. The girl told me that their ice machine was not fully functional and they were not selling ice and it could only be in drinks. I told her the situation and she said she still could not sell me any ice and it could only be in a drink. I said okay, I would like a cherry limeade without the cherry limeade. Again, she said she could not do that. I mean really?!?!?! I'm going to pay almost $4 for a drink with no drink just ice and she still says no. But I could order a large drink with ice no problem. I then told the girl my grandmother was dying, in case she didn't know what hospice meant, and just wants some soft crushed ice. She then turned the speaker off. Horrible. I accidentally ordered the wrong size soda. It turned into a major issue because there appears to be no adults to supervise their high school staff. I'm not even going to bother with the tiny details. I just got to deal with a chick with a spike through her nose and an apparent 12 year old who only knows how to giggle and duck behind the window. Take note, they cannot change a mobile order, which is understandable, but they also refuse to let you order a correct item and pay cash for it. Too much brain cells needed apparently to make it work when you have metal in your face. She must have shorted out or something. Everytime we visit this location they either add something I didn't order to the order or forget to add something to the order. It's not worth going here anymore as all they do is mess up. This last visit they messed up our drinks 3 times that after the third time we just drove off as we didn't want to stay on this merry go round of incompetence. read more
