I have been a fan of this chain for decades. I love the chicken cheesesteak. I came with my teen daughter around 2:30 PM to give her a "premium sandwich experience," and this was my first time to this location. Everything was first class except for exceotional slow service. We were the only two people in the restaurant and ordered ONE sandwich. I realize they also have a drive thru and online orders to fulfill, but it was nearly 20 minutes. Thatt seems like at least double the time it should take to fulfil the order of your only dining room customers (based on my experience with other Capriotti's.). I'm sorry to say I was in Caproittis last monday July 6,2026 and I had my grandson with me. I had preordered a bowl of soup and I picked it up. But then my grandson wanted an apple juice. So I decided to get him a kids meal. This came with a bag of chips, the selection was weak and I picked sour cream and onions potato chips along with a grilled cheese sandwich and paid extra for a soft drink. I guess I was so focused on my grandson, not quite 3 years old, and left the restaurant without the grilled cheese sandwich. The young ( I think he was thirteen years old) boy who took my order said nothing to me. Yes, he just watched me walk off without the grilled cheese sandwich. Should I go back and ask for it? Service here was great. It was later in the evening, and I was craving a philly cheesesteak. My only regret was not asking for light mayo and mustard. I walked in and placed an order to-go. The two gentleman working were friendly and my daughter asked for their grilled cheese and a sweet treat. The restaurant was quiet, very clean and so was the restroom. On 7/3, I had initially ordered pickup through door dash at 1:00pm. It said that expected ready time was 1:20pm. I showed up at 1:18pm, and the lady that came up to me and asked who the order was for, we told her Anthony. She said that she would go check in that for us. We sat in the drive thru pick up line for 10 minutes(wish i was exaggerating), just to be given salads in boxes instead of the sandwiches we ordered. So we honked the horn and told them this isnt what we ordered, we ordered sandwiches. And that's when they told us, "sorry, we ran out of bread." So they were just gonna let us drive off without telling us??? So I said we waited here for 10 minutes when food was supposed to already be done, and you didnt tell us? Just let us drive off? The person said "im so sorry we ran out of bread. We can give you a refund." I said yes please thanks. And so they gave me two printed receipts, but I still have no refund. I reached out to shift manager Brianna, and she said it would take 48 hrs for the refund to appear. Fast forward, its been 4 days and still no refund. I called the store again, and Brianna said that she would be sending my info to corporate and that they would be reaching out but that if I wanted to come in to have my sandwhich remade or a free bag of chips, to come back. Really... I reached out to corporate on 7/6 regarding this complaint as I still hadn't received my refund as promised above. I was told by Aimee that it would take 3-5 days biz days before the refund would be processed. Okay. I waited the allotted time with still no refund in sight. I reached back out to them to let them know, and they escalated the issue and reached out to doordash directly. Finally on 7/16, I was told by Megan that I would have to initiate the refund myself thru doordash and sent me a link to refund. And they also offered $35 for "the hassle" (which i did not accept). I tried the link and attempted to get a refund but since its been well over 24 hours, doordash would not allow me a refund or credit. I sent this screenshot of the message to guest services and have basically left on read lol. Due to this incredibly poor habdling od this situation, they unfortunately lost a loyal customer. 1st off, we have been coming to this restaurant for a number of years. My mother in law brought us here on 1 of our vacations before we retired to the area. The restaurant is always clean and staff are always friendly.. We used a buy 1 get 1 1/2 off coupon. We both ordered the turkey club, small size. Everything on both. The contents of the sandwich were great, but the bread itself was so dense. Very hard to chew. Tomatoes were very lacking. So turned a small into a salad bowl at home basically. Took out all the yumm yumms and ate them with a fork.. Even at buy 1 get 1 1/2 off, it was still almost 20.00 for 2 sandwiches. Lesson: Make staff repeat outloud what you are ordering. On Friday, June 26, 2026, my husband and I ordered via Capriotti's app. The app would not allow us to add a salad after having added a 18" sandwich although I tried three times. Finally, I just ordered the 18" tuna sub as we pulled into the parking lot of Capriotti's. Then we realized we had ordered a Turkey sub, not tuna. We told young girl behind the counter that we had difficulty ordering using the app and had tried to order a tuna sandwich but had instead ordered a turkey. Although her face was unreadible, we hoped she understood to CANCEL the turkey sandwich in lieu of a tuna sandwich. I was still so upset over the app and then ordering the wrong sandwich, I left to sit in the car. My husband comes out with the salad I wanted but TWO sandwiches: a tuna AND A TURKEY. A $30+ dinner became $60+ because staff did not amend the turkey sandwich into a tuna AND my husband accepted both sandwiches. I don't say never, but it will be some time before we purchase another sandwich from the Carson City Capriotti location. read more

I've driven by this place many times and finally decided to stop in and give it a try. I ordered the American Wagyu French Dip, and I have to say, it was one of the better French dip sandwiches I've had. The beef was nicely seasoned with a good bit of pepper, which I actually enjoyed. We decided to get a sandwich at our favorite place. We usually go to the one in Reno, but we went to the one in Carson City. They had a big order 50 sandwiches that day for the fire department which OK that's fine. Well we came in and it was pretty hectic and you know people were waiting in line and waiting for their sandwiches and I have to say that Bree and Zach and their crew really pull together and got everything done in such a really awesome way very professional, and Zach came out and apologized to everybody which I thought was phenomenal. We recently located to the area and noticed there is a Capriotti's here. We have made it a point to get in here and try it out. We have been to one in Las Vegas and really liked it. So we were eager to see if this was as good. Well today we put that to rest. We came in around 12:30 during the lunch hour and it wasn't too busy. I noticed how clean the place is and how attentive the young man Matthew was. He spoke very well and had a great attitude. I honestly couldn't remember what I had the last time I came into a Capriotti's. But I chose the 8in Classic Italian and my wife ordered the small roast beef sandwich along with chips and a drink. It didn't take very long for our order to come up and we were pleasantly impressed with the quality of our sandwiches. The sandwiches were well put together and tasted great. I first went to Capriotti's in Chicago and had the famous Bobbie which is essentially a turkey dinner in a sandwich. Absolutely fabulous. This time in Carson City, NV I tried their Cheesesteak because who doesn't like a good cheesesteak? It is described as: "Our award winning Cheese Steak includes premium grilled steak, and melted white American cheese, fried onions, hot or sweet peppers". I had the sweet peppers on mine. I felt the sandwich was good but not as good as the Bobbie. I have higher standards for cheesesteak and this one was good but not great like the Bobbie. I want to like this place and am only able to try it on road trips as there are none in the Seattle area where I live.
