Agreed 5 stars, for what it is. Burger was made correctly and was delicious. Ordered a water, 50 cent cup charge for it. Seems silly and bad for business in summer. We were 4 for 4 on Sonic orders, 4 orders, 4 wrong! (Two in Reno and two in Medford) Not exactly what we were going for. 100% FAIL! The Medford location is a special disappointment, lousy food, lousy service, and today was no exception. We have sat at a call in window for 15 minutes with no staff response, nothing! At one point, I could see someone looking at us through the drive through window, but did not respond or come out (we thought perhaps the speaker was broken) That day, we eventually left and went to Quizno's next door. But today, the service was prompt, food was out quickly and was actually what we ordered. WOO HOO! But, the tater tot/fries things they serve were deep fried in old oil or something else that was nasty, because our chili cheese "fries" and side of "fries" were both gross. Inedible gross. Of course, no one asked if everything was OK while we sat at the spot. I took my tray back and was going to tell them about how nasty the "fries" were, but no staff came out while I stood for a few minutes outside the "employees only" door the carhops use. But at least they got the order right, improvement has been noted, but the quality of food was off. I hear so many great things about Sonic, I just cannot seem to hit it at the right time to get that experience. read more

Not the best burgers, most of the time the food is incorrect and it's like pulling teeth to get ketchup. Actually I don't know it like pulling teeth, I am 3 for 0 on actually getting ketchup when I ask for it going through the drive through. Love the workers (4 stars) here but have a serious issue with how much oil drips out of one zesty cheesesteak (down to 2 stars). I spoke with the manager and showed her my hubby's shirt (see photo). Since I had ordered the same sandwich, I told her my concerns about SO much grease and she offered to make me a different sandwich. (Back to 4 stars). For what it is, five stars! Always quick and courteous. The drinks are well mixed, the fries are hot and it's a great little pick me up. If you're not familiar with Sonic, drop in. The hours for breakfast this morning didn't correspond with the hours online. I went through the drive thru and the workers said they don't open until 9:30am. Posting correct hours will help in the future or having your employees show up and open when their supposed also helps. read more

Let me just say, I'm so sorry to the employees of Sonic for being a paying customer and let me remind you, the reason why you have a job is because of people who come to your establishment. I stopped here the other evening and ordered a mini master shake. A few minutes after ordering my boyfriend called me. I talked to him for a while and as I looked around I noticed people who had pulled in after I ordered my shake and sat at the tables in front of me had already got their order of what appeared to be 2 sandwiches, fries, drinks and ice cream cones. This prompted me to look at the timer on my phone since I was talking on it and noticed it was at 16 minutes. Like I said, he had called a few minutes after I ordered so it was closer to 20 minutes that I was waiting for a mini shake. I hit the button and just told them I wanted to check on my order because it hadn't come out yet (and I was super polite because no one wants to piss off people handling their food) and the girl said she would send out her manager. I would have been understanding, because mistakes happen, but the guy who brought out my shake had a super annoyed look on his face, handed me my shake with a "sorry bout that" then quickly turned and walked away. Not even a sincere apology that I had waited over 20 minutes for a SHAKE! Come on now! I had been driving for several hours that day and the last thing I wanted was to wait for 20 minutes for something that easy. Not to mention have the staff lack sincerity for their mistake. Is there a way to give a -3 review? This evening around 5:00pm my family and I are waiting patiently in line for the $5 Sunday chicken meal deal. We pull to the intercom and are asked to please wait....5 minutes goes by "ok, go ahead with your order," I respond ordering 3 chicken meal deals, she asks is that all with your order I respond with I would like my drinks to be 2 dr peppers and 1 sprite. She then asks me if I would like them medium or small? I respond what size comes with the meals? She intermittently pauses 2 more time with"please wait" 2 more times. A total of 9 minutes waiting now at the intercom? Finally to finish my family's final experience at this "fast food" wait no, SLOW FOOD restaurant. This was our worst experience at a Sonic. We asked for 3 of our burgers with no onions, all of them had onions. We ordered milkshakes that barely had any flavor in them. I tried ordering a malt and was told that they don't do malts. They person taking our order was rushing us and being very impatient and had terrible customer service. Also the person that brought our food to us lacked customer service. When we complained about the burgers they were still rude and didn't acknowledge their mistake. I was here about 5 days ago on my way 2 Las Vegas. I walked up 2 the patio area & ordered through the intercom. I got pretty much the same thing I got when I was @ the 1 in Bonney Lake, Wa. last summer. The food was just as good & it arrived a little faster. Stopped by on my way from the airport. At the kiosk no one took my order so I drove to the window where the girl looked puzzled. St took my order for the #2 combo. The said is it ok if I give you a large we are all out of medium. Then she tried to charge me 50% more for the large! I satd WTF I do not want to pay for a large. She said her manager told her to charge more! First the manager should be fired for advertising medium for sale on their menu and trying to force an up sell to a large by refusing to sell a medium. Second the Manager should be fired for not ordering enough supplies to sell whats on the menu. I told the girl to stick my order in the managers... Stopped for quick food on the go while on a road trip. Kids were SUPER angry they no longer offer a toy in the kids meals, and they don't have any sort of signage saying so... Small things, I know, but when traveling 9+ hrs in a car, Cranky kids =not a fun trip. Food was lukewarm at best, drinks were the same, add that to poor service, and I was not a happy camper. We ordered 2 drinks and after waiting 20 minutes pressed the call button and a different lady came on and asked us what we'd like to order. HORRIBLE! We wasted nearly $20 on 2 dry, hard sandwiches (Crispy Check and Cheeseburger). Neither of us could chew the "leather" they called meat and almost zero condiments. The onion rings were overdone and greasy. The tots and shake were good. My husband made me promise to not ring the bell for service, but that it would have more effect here. read more

We had a Sonic in Petaluma, CA as a kid, so when we passed by this one on the way from SF to Seattle, we popped in to try it out. The service was fairly quick. The food was hot, tater tots were crunchy, and the sweet tea was pretty good. I would put the quality of Sonic as fairly high for a fast food burger. read more

Went through the drive thru this morning and ordered a sausage/potato burrito and a soda. When I opened the wrapping there was cheese sauce smeared all over the outside of the burrito, didn't have any sausage or potato, and the top 2/3 of the shell was empty. The bottom 1/3 of the shell had egg and some type of cheesy salsa. If I had wanted a burrito shell and a couple tablespoons of egg, I would have made it at home. read more

My daughter and I drove up to the order intercom and waited-for 10 minutes. During that time we heard music playing and saw parked cars being served. Also, during that time, we tried to get someone's attention by calling out, "Hello? Anyone there? Are you closed?" We gave up and drove to the window. Again, we were ignore. We pulled into one of the drive-in spots and again, nothing-even after we pushed the "order" button. Finally a voice came on and asked for our order. We complained about being ignored and the very young sounding male voice said, "Oh, sorry. I had my headset turned off." We placed our order and waited-another 10 minutes. During this time, two cars placed orders at the drive through, got their food and left. I finally got out of the car and headed towards the building. I guess they saw that I was coming and that I was mad. The, again very young, girl came charging out with our order. No apology, nothing except a total amount due for the order. I guess if you are young and don't care about customer service or doing your job properly, you should go work at the Central Point Sonic-it would be perfect for you. By the way, the smoothie my daughter got wasn't blended at all and had fruit chunks so large that she had to come home and eat it with a spoon. And, my chilli cheese fries order was only half filled-which I didn't find out until we finally got home. Don't waste your time or money! This was the worst sonic experience I've ever had. They had charged me $39 for food that was worth $12. Aparaently they had orders mixed up on two different stalls. If I hadn't caught the charge I would have walked away paying more than double the amount that my food was worth. They have really bad customer service. They were trying to cancel the charge to my account even though it was already charged and try to charge me the $12 my food is worth. I don't want my food nor do I ever want to eat at this sonic again. Worst sonic ever! read more
