If you're in the mood for a good fast food burger, but not wanting to pay $15+, then Sonic's Drive-In is the place to go. My hubby kept raving about it until I caved in and tried it out and I must say they are now on my top five list of my fast food go-to spots. I was a little skeptical after seeing the reviews for this location, but my experience on two separate occasions for quick dinners last month were both positive. I went through the drive through and did not have to wait long. The staff was friendly and energetic. The SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger Combo is HUGE and super filling. I recommend getting the SONIC Cheeseburger Combo instead if you get full easily. Both times, my food was fresh, accurate (light condiments and no onions like I asked) and satisfying. The french fries and tater tots were good (not to salty or greasy). The cherry limeade is always nostalgic too. I will be back on cheat days, when I'm craving a cheeseburger. read more

Ours wouldn't accept my card. 3 parked cars. 1-2 going through drive through. We ordered a cherry pomade and 3 slushies. 20 min. I'm never usually in a hurry. This time, had to pick up a fiends kid. We pulled up to this establishment and parked in a bay, just to be told that there was drive thru only tonight. That's fine, so we pull up to the drive thru to be told that it may not work and we needed to go back in park in the bay. Already frustrated with the run around, we receive our food (and there is a sign up detailing the many things they are out of) and we are only given about five tots a piece with our meals (as pictured.) the chili cheese cony is thrown in the bag in a complete mess and also not on a foot long bun. The all American is missing half the ingredients, and we were not made aware that anything would be missing at all. Just an overall bad experience. Go there, get all the ingredients to make whatever you were about to order, go home and cook it, enjoy it, take a shower, read a book, go to sleep. Sonic never fully recovered from the pandemic. I always liked their burgers, but cutbacks on things like lettuce and tomatoes during supply shortages really made a difference. Service is much improved, but food has taken a hit. I'd rather pay more for quality but they seem to be cutting corners. read more

I really don't get what everyone is so upset about. This is the only Sonic I have never had poor service at! It's in an annoying spot because it's on a hill but the traffic isn't too bad getting in/out. I normally wait about 5 or so minutes for whatever I order. Typically, I get some kind of ice cream drink, a RT 44 cherry limeade and chili cheese tots. I live in Dunwoody and there is no Sonic here so getting a cherry limeade is a huge treat for me. I keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days and it stays good. I wanted to post a pic of the menu because there are so many choices, it can be overwhelming. The prices are normal for milkshakes and desserts. I love the chili cheese tots/fries because they use actual cheese. Their ranch sauce is awful though so don't bother getting that. The master blasts are amazing - pretty much a blizzard like DQ. You can get brownies inside or cake or other toppings. They also have a ton of flavors so they probably have whatever you're craving whether it's banana peanut butter or mango pineapple. Some of them actually skate out to you. I usually tip whoever brings my food $1-2 depending how much I order since they bring it to your car. read more

The food is standard Sonic--very tasty. However, the management and employees are very unprofessional and are not in any hurry to help anyone in a timely manner. I did not even get to order for about 30 minutes with four cars in the stalls. The drive thru wasn't moving hardly at all and several people got upset and left without ordering. I counted six employees in the kitchen, which should be plenty to run the place efficiently. This is now my third attempt to eat at this location. The previous two times I left without ordering after over 40 minutes of waiting. Someone from the Sonic corporate office needs to do a serious undercover visit to this location and get it reorganized. read more

This restaurant is less than 10 miles away from me and it is one that when I do not feel like cooking I run to, at least that was in the past (years ago past). I ordered popcorn chicken combo and you know how the sides are what you sometimes look forward to even more than the main dish, well that was a mistake this time. I was so looking forward to the fries but they were stale, hard and old. They did not care whatsoever that they passed along old fries to a customer. The popcorn chicken was tasty and their cherry limeade was good. Totally a shame. Lots of young adults were working and were kidding and playing around with each other. This particular Sonic needs new management. You wait in line for 20 minutes and they purposely do not answer the speaker. We sat there for 40 minutes one day and then decided to go to Dairy Queen. They have great service every time and great food. We have given this sonic 3 times and had the same experience every time. Scared to eat the food at a place that is this unprofessional. It must be run by 12 year olds. The people on the other end of the mic laughed and made fun of someone for having a strong southern accent. The restaurant is in Douglasville, GA, where MOST people have a southern accent. The food is ok the shakes and desserts are good. The prices are reasonable. The service is not great. It takes FOREVER to get your order. Also be careful about what you pay with. My bill was $14.80 and i paid with $21 so I could get a $5 back. The lady acted like the transaction was over and I wasn't getting change. I actually had to ask for my change and she seemed to get upset and said she had to go back inside to get change. I thought i had a couple $1 bills but i was wrong so when she returned with my $5 bill i told her I thought i had some ones and all the sudden she had a fanny pack full of bills (so she could have given me change from the start. I have no idea why she would walk back into the building for change, when she had plenty of change hanging from waist. Gave the young (rude) lady my name and the problem i had with their app. She came out and ask for my name again and went back in after 50 minutes my son got tired of waiting and went to the window to find out what was the matter he spoke to the young (rude) lady again when he ask what had happened she told him I don't know and it was above her pay grade. So the manage came to speak to him and she said she didn.t even know we were there (how would she with the the (rude) young lady did follow through on her part. so we left and went to Chick-fil-a.
