Metal that was found in the shrimp and grits

This was such a horrible experience. The service and timeliness reallyneed to be improved. It took over 45 minutes to get drinks. Most of the tables food was out before drinks were brought to the table. The kitchen was not willing to tell us where the oysters came from. Due to this we asked to cancel of order of oysters before they even came out and the "manager" on staff stated that she could not do refunds! How is that a refund when we asked to cancel the order before it came out. We asked for salt and pepper and didn't receive it for 30 minutes, by this time grits were cold and were not good enough to eat. And to top it all off, there was a piece of metal in one of my friends' shrimp and grits. When we shared this with the manager, she stated she could remake it for a discount. We had to tell her that was unacceptable and the meal should be completely taken off of the check. She then reluctantly stated she would take it off. The restaurant seems to be too focused on the experience that you have (line dancing night) than delivering quality service. It was great to connect with friends but we will not be returning.

Receipt gratuity is already added however, you will receive a final receipt with additional gratuity.

The ambiance is beautiful. There is lots of beautiful art in the building. The service was decent. Food in my opinion is over priced. We got burgers no drinks and it's was over $80. The food didn't take awfully long to come out like I've seen in other reviews. It was made fresh and was served hot.

I was in D'Ville handling some business, and I was hungry. As I wanted to try somewhere new, I hopped on Yelp and searched what was in the area and stumbled on Blu Rose Art Bistro. Arriving at Blu Rose Art Bistro, I was excited to see that the parking was easy. There is ample street parking as it sits in the middle of the strip so I pulled up, found a park and headed inside. Walking in, when you open the door to Blu Rose Art Bistro, everything is right in front of you. You get to take in the entire location from the front door. The setup is very cute with the bar to the left, tables to the right, and the art room (large party space) in the back right corner. On the night I went, the DJ was set up in the back left corner and was adding the personal touch to the evening. The hostess greeted us and walked us to our seats. The menu at Blu Rose Art Bistro is very straightforward. There are not too many options, but there are enough that you don't feel stuck and forced to stick to one flavor profile. I decided on a Sweet Tea to drink and 3 Wings for my meal, and added a side of Macaroni and Cheese. Once my order was placed, I sat back and enjoyed the ambiance of the evening. The music was vibrant, and the crowd was engaging. As the food arrived at the table, my eyes became HUGE! Everything looked AMAZING and I was ready to eat! Sweet Tea - One word... BOMB!!!!! Fresh Brewed, Sweet, Southern, and Ice Cold Perfection. Whoever made this tea had love on the brain as they brewed and stirred it. Fried Chicken - Babeeeeeeeeeee. This was some Glory-filled Fried Chicken. I'm talking FLAVORED to perfection, FRIED to perfection, and best of all, meaty on the inside with the smoke coming off the bone as I bit into the wing. These wings were FRESH. The art of wing frying was understood with these wings as they were made with care and flavor variation appreciation... I promise they used Lawry's. Macaroni and Cheese - made like Momma makes it on Sundays after church. It was cheesy, flavorful, tender, and fresh. It was as if the skillet was made special just for me. I fell in love Blu Rose Art Bistro was truly a great find and a great experience. The pricing was spot on for the quality of food and service that is offered. I will def be back.

Bill with auto gratuity added. Only two of us dining. The credit card receipt to sign had the amount with the gratuity already added.

Initial impression not good. Walked in at noon, no regular coffee (for a brunch place, weird). Asked for a diet drink for the diabetic family member, the server said she didn't think they had diet sodas, only sprite and coke. She brings back a ginger ale looking drink and stated it's Diet Coke. It definitely was not and my worries were if she was passing that off , what else would be okay to serve us. The shrimp poboy and the burger were very good. Then we get the bill. ******Be very careful *******They had added an "auto gratuity " and only two of us dining. The credit card receipt to sign had the amount with the gratuity already added in as well as an additional 18-22% without the auto gratuity accounted for. We thought this was deceitful. Sorry, not impressive enough to use us back.

So the food has always been stellar as well as the atmosphere but the downside was always the timing from sit down to eating. Well they fixed that! Our last time here was 45 minutes just to get our food. We got our food in 13 minutes this time! Fantastic!!! The staff was amazing and the decor and food are out of this world. Our waitress, Unique was so sweet and attentive. We have loved Blu Rose for a year now but now it's a new fave spot. Great job fixing the service time! Love the new studio as well!

Stopped in for Sunday lunch/ brunch. It wasn't crowded probably due to the weather. We were promptly sat by our server, Unique. She was great. She was helpful in food and appetizer selections. We got the fried oysters and fried green tomatoes as apps. Both were very tasty. The oysters had a nice crunch and seasoned well. The tomatoes were thick and hot. They were 5 in an order. Both apps were $12. All meals are served with fries. There is a $1, $2, or $3 upcharge to substitute for another side. The regular catfish meal has 2 pieces-$14. The Mac n cheese is pretty good- $3 upcharge and the greens $6. They were sweet with a little spice. My sister ordered the grits, $1 upcharge, were creamy. The catfish was fried to perfection. It was crispy and well seasoned. The waffles while tasty, was too soggy for me. I like more of a crunch. They pour this bomb Maple syrup in it. It tastes more like a dessrt. They had old school gospel music playing. I would definitely return.

We love this place!! My family met for brunch after Christmas and the food and service were both excellent! Some of the best French Toast and Waffles we've ever had. The atmosphere was calm and cozy. We each had a different flavored mimosa and no one was disappointed. No espresso drinks, but the coffee good and strong. Hope we can come back soon and bring MORE of our friends and family.

My wife and I came here for the first time and it was amazing from the opening of the door!! When you walk in it's an art museum from Dave Chapelle to Michael Jackson and PRINCE Out servers name was unique and she was the best!!!! We had the fried green tomatoes to start and they were sooooooo hot and firm My wife had the catfish and she absolutely loved them and I quiet from her "DEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS" I had the bistro burger and I mean it was to DIE FOR!!! Cheese was melted perfectly and the bun was sooooooo soft l! They have this blueberry lemonade that was perfect ... I mean perfect I'll be back ... had their Mac and cheese too (not a fan) I like my noodles unovercooked ... but SO!! Everything else was DOPE

Service was excellent, waitress was attentive and sociable. Ambiance was upscale casual. Very Artsy as it has an AR feature. Food was very good, you can see what was ordered. Everything was seasoned and cooked well, except for these minor critiques Eggs are served last, not first. Eggs came out first and got cold while they waited on their other food. Sweet Potato Souffle was under cooked, still raw in the middle. Marshmallow should be optional unless it's a vegan marshmallow. Marshmallows have gelatin which is usually a pork product.

Cute cute cute spot. Had the blueberry lemonade and it was so good. My husband and I enjoyed the service. Our waitress was sweet. She knew the menu and made really great suggestions. I had the shrimp and grits. He had the breakfast meal. We shared a fried catfish fillet and an order of fried green tomatoes. We enjoyed everything but the fried green tomatoes took us back to his mother's kitchen after church. And the lemonade.....yes please. Highly recommend a visit to Blu Rose!

The ambiance is sweet, relaxing, and inviting. It's quiet, clean, and has a charming little setup that feels perfect for a small local coffee shop. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and they even asked for my name. The young man at the counter was very welcoming and friendly, which made the experience feel a bit more personal. The menu had so many options it was honestly hard to decide. To play it safe, I stuck with my usual go-to: a White Mocha Latte. My drink arrived hot, and they actually bring it out to your table, which was a nice touch. I had to let it cool for a bit while I sat back and read my book. The latte was well made--smooth, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced. I paid about $6 for a 16 oz, which isn't bad at all. That seems pretty average for a medium-sized coffee these days. Parking was also a breeze. I was able to pull right up front near the door, which made the visit even more convenient. Overall, it's a nice little spot to relax, sip a good cup of coffee, and unwind for a while. Safe to say, if you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy a good latte and a good book, this spot is definitely worth the stop.

First things first, the place was super cute. Good place to meet with friends, or get some work done. They do have wifi and seated areas that assist with that as well... The staff though??? I felt like I was in someone's house with the home-like hospitality I received. Seriously the folks who work there are sunshine in human form. Especially Star, is she sees this, you are awesome girl!!! Now for the eats/drinks: I ordered the dirty vanilla chai. Never have I ever ordered a chai that didn't need some sort of enhancements like sugar, creamer etc... Ya'll this chai was PERFECTLY made. It needed NOTHING added to it. Ugh just TOO good. My friend and I ordered the breakfast sandwich, she ordered the Vegan version and I ordered the regular one with sausage. We both ordered them on croissants versus the other option of a bagel. It was so so delicious, I almost had to slow myself down from not eating my hands. Anytime I try a new place, of course I'll remember if what I ate was good and my overall experience. But what sticks out the most, is if a place that makes me feel like I should become a regular or not.... and Kuumba has definitely sold me on that. I will be back next week.

I was in the area and noticed the drive-through line didn't look too long, so I quickly ordered on the app and opted for drive-through pickup. The parking lot this location sits in has several other restaurants and businesses, so when the line gets long, it turns into a cluster, which definitely influenced my decision to go for it while things looked calm. Even though the line wasn't bad, in true Starbucks fashion it still took a little time to get to the speaker and the window. I'd say around 15-20 minutes total. Drinks were ready by the time I got to the window, had to wait a little bit longer for food items, but I didn't mind. For my order, I went with the sugar-free vanilla protein matcha. It wasn't the best matcha I've ever had, but it's a great option if you want some extra protein (36g in a Grande), so I can definitely see myself getting it again. Also good to know: the protein-boosted milk can be substituted into several of their other drinks, which is a plus. I also grabbed the spinach, feta, and egg white wrap, which used to be one of my go-tos back when I came here more often. Overall, no complaints. I always expect a bit of a wait at Starbucks, whether that be inside or drive-through, and this visit was pretty on par with that.
