I grew up on this restaurant and love it. We hosted a large party there and everything went great! Service was perfect and the food was amazing. great country cooking. I recently moved away from maryland so I was glad to get some good quality cream of crab. it's been a while. the bacon cheesesteak is something I also love. not featured is their applesauce, which is chunky, and my favorite side dish. First time here. Walked in and got a table, sunday morning. Place reminded me of Double T Diners on the western shore. I had the Western Omelet. My guest had the 2x2x2 The omelet & potatoes lacked flavor. Toast was good. I also had salsa on the side. I barely ate 3/4 of the entire meal. You pay upfront. There is a bar there also, and extra dining space in the back where the bathrooms apparently are Within an hour after returning to my motel, I had to sit on the toilet. My guest did shortly after. And I brought food back for someone else, and even they ended up on the toilet. Something in the food gave us the RUNS! OMG. Would not dine here again. read more

Went to this establishment craving old fashioned diner fare and they did not disappoint. Nothing like a good diner breakfast. They even offered scrapple which is unheard of from where I live. After finding out what scrapple is I kindly declined. The eggs were hood, the potatoes were good and the sausage and toast was as expected. Great service! Came back the next day and the food was great but the service and vibe not so good. I guess it all depends on who your server is and crew shift. read more

I was hoping for a stellar dining experience. It was just ok. Quick seating and good service by our server so that was a plus. Many food options for lunch or breakfast and that was welcomed. I opted for a short stack (2) of French toast and bacon. The bacon was crispy and good but the French toast disappointed. No powdered sugar and not fluffy and taste wasn't what it should be. A totally unassuming local place. Its a little beat up, decor is dated, furniture a bit beat up. It was, however clean enough, so no issues there. With some guidance and an influx of cash this could be one of those good diners & dives places. Maybe someone could recommend them to that Restaurant Impossible show? I'm not sure how many pass through tourists they get. They were "nice enough" but seem confused that a brown person and a pink person could come into a restruarant together. That we are married and live in the same house would blow some of their minds. We had a nice young woman server (who I guess handles the "exotics"), earned herself a cost of the meal tip. She was smart, quick and polite. The food was simple, decently executed and actually hit the spot. We knew there were more exotic meals to come later on the trip. I don't think we would travel from central MD just to come here. If we were passing by for some reason, we might stop again. read more

How this places gets 3 1/2 stars is beyond me! I ordered the Eggs Benedict and I firmly believe there should be a law against using crappy hollandaise sauce mix! Eggs Benedict is one of those quintessential items that really only have 4 ingredients but OOOHHHH how they can SUCK!! Not sure about anything else on the menu but DO NOT GET EGGS BENEDICT HERE!!! Went for the breakfast. Standard diner breakfast that was tasty. We had an omelet with potatoes and French Toast. They did not have the turkey sausage; however, they recommended turkey bacon instead. We were seated quickly and asked our drink order at the same time, coffee and water. Our drinks came quickly as did the food. The restaurant is a classic tile, booth, and breakfast counter diner with an updated architectural ceiling. There was a faint residual cigarette smoke odor inside. Odd enough to mention. I wish I could write a better review than this but sadly my experience at Easton diner was unpleasant, albeit short. We walked in around 10 am on Friday 3.19.2021. It wasn't busy at all. It looked pretty "dive-like." We waited about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes for our server to come over. She didn't even say her name. She just came over, clearly annoyed, and said "do you know what you want?" We hadn't decided on food yet so we just got a coffee and some water. After the drinks were ordered I went to the bathroom and that's when I decided that we had to leave. It was filthy, so much so that I literally gagged when I walked in. And I saw a roach on the floor. This place was a food poisoning disaster waiting to happen. We paid for the coffee and got the hell out of there. Never again. read more

The wait is unnecessarily long in general and the staff seem to actively ignore folks that are coming in. After being seated the table was dirty as were the floors. I orders corned beef hash with eggs over easy. The "corned beef" came as a distressingly dry and grey quenelle on a plate of its own, with eggs and potatoes on a separate plate. My wife and I stopped at the Easton Diner on our way home from a short trip to St. Michaels, MD. We both felt like eating a late breakfast and we were happy we found this diner. The diner is colorful and clean, with two beautiful aquariums at the entrance- I feel sorry for the employees who have to keep kids from touching those aquariums, that's for sure! We were seated right away and looked over the menu and I almost talked myself into lunch because the food choices were excellent, and slightly different (liver and onions? Yes, please!). However, I ordered the breakfast special, which is: two hotcakes, two eggs, bacon AND sausage, and all of it was delicious. The bacon was very crispy, which is the way my wife likes it so she kept stealing pieces of it. The sausages were great, the eggs cooked perfectly, and the hotcakes (pancakes to most of us) were perfect. The plate came with plenty of butter, which is nice because I always find myself asking for more. My wife had the hotcakes and home fries, which she really liked. I sampled the home fries and they were very good. Our server was really nice and she knew her stuff. Overall, an excellent experience- we both left with very full bellies. If I can think of one change I would make, I think it's the syrup: Hotcakes are served with those little cups of syrup that you see at hotel breakfast buffets, and for people like me who like lots of syrup or even different choices of syrups, those little cups just don't do the trick. First, allow me to say we are a diner family. So, where we go most often we find a diner along the way. I must say from the time we walked in we were greeted by a smiling friendly face! Immediately the waitress came to the table and took our order. It seemed like as soon as we started talking our food was here! Coffee was hot, food was hot and good. The most racist place ever ! I will never eat here they kicked my family out. I have a service dog who was sitting quietly by the table with her vest on. The server from the beginning was inattentive. However he kept telling us he would be back to place our order. Then after our food comes 1 manager tells us we need to leave because our service dog needs to go under the table not next to our table ( mind you another staff member Came up petting my dog and making kisses noises. Which I had to ask him not to do) then another lady comes up 3x to tell us we need to leave bc our dog won't go under the table. The thing is she knows that my service dog couldn't fit under the table ! There was legit no where to go under the table. By the 3rd my anxiety was on a high and my service dog alerted me that it was rising. By a signal whine. She comes back over to tell us we need to leave bc my dog barked. I told her what was happening she then told us to leave with mimosas and she wouldn't tell anyone. Why would we do that. No we were unable to finish our food and got kicked out. We were the only black people there in the corner. I heard her laughing and talking to other customers while I was walking out. The racism I experienced probably isn't the first time this has happened there. read more

I was told to try the crab cakes by the hotel clerk. I was a little skeptical about crab cakes from a "diner" but she promised I would not be disappointed and the area is known for their seafood. So I did as suggested and order broiled crab cakes (you can also order them fried). I must say the hotel clerk was right. They were very tasty and filling. All lump crab and verrry little filler with a nice flavor. I thought the crab cakes were an appetizer and was prepared to order a separate meal for dinner, but was pleasantly surprised that it came with two sides and a salad. The salad bar was nice with an actual spring green mix and not iceberg lettuce. read more

We've been here once before a couple years ago. The food we got today was a 3 star experience. a.ok. The Ice Tea was delicious. Salad bar was skimpy. No bacon bits? Cream of Crab Soup was too much. A broth would be better. The cost was a fair deal. But WTH is with the freak show stares. Did I tuck my dress in my underwear or something? Good lord. Hard sideways face at the counter. This was a perfect breakfast spot for our party of 6. The wait did take about 25 minutes to get a seat since we were considered a big party, and they put all big parties in the same room. But, the variety on the menu made it worth the wait. I opted for the All Day breakfast special that consisted of two pieces of French toast, two eggs, two pieces of bacon and two sausage links. It was all delicious! They charged $.89 to add a slice of cheese to my eggs which I thought was a bit high, but overall everyone had a good dining experience! The reasons I give only 3 stars is 1. The noise from the bus boys clanging dishes is ear piercing a great deal of the time you are trying to enjoy your meal and trying hard to carry on a conversation. You would think they would try to cut down on the noise. Maybe they could throw an old towel in the box to cut the noise anything to help. 2. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. So much food! We had a party of 13 on a Sunday night. The diner was maybe 1/4 full and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Had you wait for the hostess to get done her cigarette. Finally seated and one of the waitresses took our drink door. Seemed like they had never had a party this big before. Very frantic. Anywho, they had a salad bar which most of us got with our dinner. Very good! Nice fresh items, potato salad was awesome. Lot of us ordered crab cakes. Wow! No filler at all. They were big with huge chunks of crab meat. Made up for the service. Melted ice cream, beard hair in food (identified by the waitress). No apology from management and they only took $4 off of my $13 meal because my waitress told them I "ate half the meal", which I did not. Beyond disgusted we left, afterwards I called the restaurant to speak with the owner about my experience. I was told by the manager that I could not speak with the owner because "he is not fluent in English and doesn't speak with customers" (her words not mine). My 14 month old and I shared that meal and the next day started experiencing symptoms of food poisoning (serve stomach cramping, diarrhea, nausea). Called health inspector and they reported that they essentially failed the inspection on 2/6/19 and were charged $300 for a 30 day follow-up inspection to fix their mistakes. I asked for a copy of the report and it read a lot of nasty things including- a lack of sanitation in the kitchen, dirty floors, mold and mildew on the ceiling by the dishwasher, raw chicken stored above uncovered cooked potatoes (cooked the day before) in the fridge, a 8" ROCK found in the bar fridge and the bar sink without hot water. Families beware. Oh and don't order the cream of crab or lemon meringue pie! read more

The interior design is a retro 50s style with a real diner feel. The entrance is flanked with large aquarium tank filled with beautiful fish. The service is great, and the food is good. I ordererd the sausage gravy biscuits. The home fries were a bit bland. The sausage gravy needed a little salt. Otherwise, it was good. I will return again for another meal. read more
