I think you can tell the real mettle of a restaurant when something goes wrong - in this case, my omelet (veggie) was accidentally swapped with a neighbor's (ham and cheese). While I'm not a vegetarian, I tend to want lighter food early in the day. We alerted our waitress, who vanished into the ether (to be fair, it was busy), leaving us to wonder if the order was going to be fixed or not. However, when we flagged down the host asking for an update, he jumped right on the problem and had a new omelet out to me in minutes. He also asked the cashier to give us a discount on our meal. Have often eaten lunch here after church a few miles South. The salad bar is very nice, eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, etc great with large portions, have always gotten two meals out of our trip. Had an appt. this A.M. in town, so stopped for breakfast. Grandma loved the French toast, tasty but coarse sausages; my toast was thick and done nicely, though I think little of having to ask for dry. As a former short-order cook I could not have put this order out the window. Eggs not correctly mixed, flopped over and too brown (scrambled eggs are fluffy). Home fries old and tired, barely hot, chewy---give me a break. Should have sent it back but hate to hassle a waitress. Stopped here for breakfast/lunch on the way home from Ocean City. Good Dive Diner with big portions and a decent price. Food was good for what this place is. They do have a really good salad bar and everything on it was really fresh. I'd stop again especially for the salad bar. read more

Always enjoy stopping here on a weekend morning for breakfast. The food is typical diner fare, of which I am a huge fan anyway. The parking lot is a bit small, and there is usually a line to get in. Service is always pleasant and quick. The decor is a bit dated, but not gaudy. with the large fish tanks incongruously brightening the room. read more

A true diner on the inside. Plenty of art deco for atmosphere. Oh and fish tanks too. Two large aquaria meet you when you come in the door. Wonderful service by friendly wait staff. Plan on taking about half your dinner home as this is no place to go when dieting! Salad bar was filled with a variety of fresh veggies. BUT they had tomato basil soup and salad as a combo.. so what could go wrong? Funny thing, the table just behind us SENT THEIR SOUP BACK AT THE EXACT SAME MOMENT I did... no tomatoes, no basil... looked and tasted like dishwater...it wasn't even red; more of a light brown.. Best to drive by. While the food is pretty decent, the Easton Diner needs to rethink the staff that they hire. We were greeted, half-assed, by a host, shown to a dirty table that they bussed right in front of us, and our waitress was not in the least bit friendly. In addition, there was another waitress who sat in one of the booths, texting on her phone, all the while her table of customers were less than ten feet away. There was also another employee who was on his phone texting behind the counter. I've been working in the food industry for nearly ten years, and cell phones on the floor are unacceptable. I want to give this place a better review, but I'm a firm believer in the fact that the staff can always make the experience more enjoyable to its patrons. Don't waste your time. read more

I'm a big fan of diners. I'm originally from NJ, so seeing anything with the suffix of "Diner" instantly reminds me of cheap, greasy diner food. Easton Diner was somewhat like my favorite diners. The interior is pretty clean. Nothing striking about the design. A fully stocked bar is nice to see, since there's nothing to do in Easton but drink. I ordered the crab cakes, salad bar, and vegetables. The crab cakes were ok, a little soggy. The veggies were gross! Over cooked, gray broccoli and carrots saturated in butter. And my salad? A garden salad is a garden salad. This place is underwhelming. I guess I shouldn't ask for much since it is a diner. But could the food at least taste good? read more

I have no words for what we just encountered. We were on our way to Baltimore and don't know Easton well & needed to stop somewhere to eat. Being from CT we saw "diner" and got excited to experience a diner down here. Wrong idea. We walk in - no one acknowledges us for a bit and then finally get seated by someone. The place looked unkept. We order our food. My husband ordered the Chicken Marsala - it was green. I wish I took a picture to prove it. My 8 year old ordered spaghetti & meatballs. She took one bite and said "I'm not eating anymore ". Finally we had to use restrooms - my daughter & I went into the ladies room - vile. We held our breath and then saw a roach on the wall. We just had lunch and they give you so much food we couldn't finish and had to take most of it home, including the dessert they give you. Prices are good and the food was delicious.
