They kept telling my wife to get closer to the microphone because they couldn't hear her. She was close enough to give it a kiss. They were difficult to understand as well. The smash burger was way too salty for me. The fries tasted better they looked. No catchup. We gave them a 50 dollar bill to pay. They brought back $9 too much change. We gave it back but In my estimation what we got was probably worth $9 less than what we paid. Just a few days ago we went to Chilis and had their pick 3 which was much better and we ate inside with a waiter for just $2 more than what we spent @ Sonic. read more

I stopped at this Sonic on a road trip up to a location near Mille Lacs. I had not been to one about two years, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The service was fast and the carhop had a good attitude, especially for working in fast food. I ordered a pretzel stick, Sonic cheeseburger, and deep fried Oreos. The cheeseburger was pretty good, it was a fast food cheeseburger and the food was not placed perfectly on the bun. The pretzel and the Oreos, on the other hand, were out of this world! I did not expect them to be as good as they were, but wow was I impressed. If you go to any Sonic that offers these, try them and you will not regret it! Overall, I had a good experience with some great food and fast service at this cool restaurant. OK, I look at this place and all I can think is "Breaking bad...they are cooking meth in back"! Now this has more to do with the fact that the place has no indoor area, no windows and is a drive up! I've been here twice in the past month coming 45+ minutes before closing time and the employees have refused to serve us or done so with horrible attitude. I work in food service myself and this kind of behavior is honestly just embarrassing. Went through the drive through with my friends at 10:15 and all the lights in the establishment and outside were on. After 3 minutes of no answer, we asked if they were open to which we got a quick and harsh "No." We immediately followed up with "Your website says you close at 11, is that right?" to which we got no response and were ignored. I would understand if it was 5-10 minutes before close, but not 45 minutes. And the silence following our question gave us the answer. When Sonics started to pop up around here, people went bat-shit crazy. It's amazing how these things can take on a life of their own. Having live din other locales with Sonic, I'd remembered it as being better than it is. Yes, the burgers are decent (but I'd take Culvers over Sonic any day of the week). The onion rings are okay. The one thing that can't be beat are those damn cherry limeades. I'm addicted to those things; thankfully they have a "light" version. EDIT: Changed from 3 stars to 2. The last 3 or 4 times in a row we've been there they have screwed up out order. This is especially funny since they read it all back to you, so how the hell does that happen?! One example: On the way up north this summer I ordered a sweet tea and was given unsweetened. Rather than listen to me complain my husband rolled back through the drive-thu where I asked if they had Splenda. The girl working help up some pink packets (Sweet & Low) and said, "I've got this kind of sugar." Um, yeah, artificial sweeteners aren't sugar. Anyway, I said, "Nevermind, just give me regular sugar." Blank stare. Then again, "I've got _this_ kind of sugar?..." and phrased it as a question. With all the negative reviews of this place, I decided I had to check it out for myself. I went on National Hot Dog Day for the dollar dogs and had 2 dogs (1 coney, 1 American) with mozzerella sticks and Ched'r Poppers. Good food, it was hot, and the sticks and poppers were crispy. Only took 4 minutes and 33 seconds from the time I ordered to when I got my food (drive-thru) and there were 3 people in front of me, I timed it on my phone. Nothing special, the drinks are good but the burgers and fries are no better than BK. Most of the staff are high school kids who screw up the orders as much as they get them correct. I will say it is a really cool place to bring the kids, and it has a fun atmosphere, but overall you'd get way better food at Culver's a mile down the road. It's worth checking out 1 or 2 times. I tried to go here for one of their sonicblasts however the service was so incredibly slow that I didn't even get to place my order! When I was pulling away I did notice that two other cars that came behind me were also leaving. I'm assuming they got sick of waiting to order too. I also heard a vehicle honk and waive at the server who continued to walk to the wrong car. Very poor in getting order right. Every time I've been this location our order is wrong. Today was worst! Ordered from app hoping it would be better. They delivered our drinks without mentioning they didn't have ice. One drink was supposed to be iced tea...aka hot tea I guess.
