Well, if you've been to sonic this is a sonic. They've had probably three management changes since they've opened and had to temporary closed down at one point because of staffing issues. Otherwise it's a newer sonic that has some indoor seating with clear garage doors that can be opened up in the summertime. It's very nice inside and you can order from the inside as well with a menu and walk up ordering station. There's probably 20 drive-in ordering spots and while they had a double drive-through only one of the drive-through's is open currently. It's really hit or miss whether or not there fast or slow. Just depends on how they're staffed at the moment. Otherwise everything I've had food. Wise has been very good and spot on. They've made a few mistakes a couple times adding sauces that I requested to have left off on but otherwise I've always been very happy with my orders and if you use their app, you can get even better discounts on your food. Plus, you can order ahead and just pick up when you get there since it's kind of out of town. The smasher burgers are really good as well as most of their slushes desserts and all their breakfast sandwiches. And of course they have cherry limeade, which are the best. Absolutely trash! The chicken tenders are tiny and not worth the money. They give out syrup instead of a dipping sauce. The sauces they did give all had holes stabbed in them. They couldn't tell what drink was what. Last time I eat at this location! Be worth it to drive far away and get something rather than waste your time and money here. read more

The slowest sonic I have ever been to. Waited in the drive through for 20 min, I ended up driving off because the car at the window two cars ahead of me (who obviously got there before me) WAS STILL WAITING FOR THEIR ORDER. I love Sonic. I've enjoyed eating there at locations all across the country. When I moved to Casper, I was tickled to find we have a Sonic. But this location leaves a lot to be desired. I've only been in twice, but the service has been very slow, very poor, both times. The first time the food wasn't bad, but tonight I stopped in with my kid for a quick treat. We ordered a real fruit slushy and a peanut better shake. 25 minutes later, we were still waiting. Finally left without our food. I suppose if you've got time to kill and you're not really hungry, you could try eating here. But if you want fast food, you'd be better off heading to the local Olive Garden. (I've never waited more than 15 minutes for my full meal at the Casper Olive Garden). I would love to hear a response from the Sonic management/ ownership. Until I do, I won't be back. read more

This is the third time I have been there. It took over 15 mins for someone to respond when I pushed the button. And again they got my order wrong they were out of things still, and the food was not just cold but half frozen! They have been out of onion rings since the pandemic started, they are also out of cheese for the pretzels. I ordered 2 corn dogs, one cheese burger with lettuce onion and tomato, one grilled cheese double cheese burger one fry, and one tater tots, and one pretzels twist. One large ocean drink, one large cranberry slush, and one large coconut slush What I got was an ice cold actually frozen in the center cheese burger with pickles and other item, one double cheese burger, two small fries, the corn dogs and drinks were all that was correct. 8-15-2023: This Sonic is now under new ownership and (hopefully) new management and employees. For the last few weeks it has been temporarily closed. When it re-opens, hopefully the food will be up to Sonic Standards, and not the cold barely cooked crap the previous ownership and management has been pumping for the past 7 years. Terrible! I was here two weeks ago with the same experience as today. Waited FOREVER for someone to take my order. I pushed the button 3 times over 15 minutes and they just hit it to turn it off. I went outside and pushed a button in the stall and he told me to wait. I said we've been here awhile and you guys are serving cars that came here after us and have already gotten their food, you still haven't taken our order. He proceeded to tell me they are short staffed - same story as last time, where a couple literally walked out fuming for not being served! I don't know why we came back, but I figured something resolved. He said they serve stalls and drive thru before the dining room: I said you can't just take my order between all these cars arriving after me? Management, do you know you are short staffed? Read your reviews at least - everyone else saying the same thing for a long time. Google and yelp both show terrible reviews for wait time! Go through the drive thru if you are craving sonic in Casper. That's my best advice! read more

Wish I would've looked at the reviews before ordering... Nothing is apparently changed. The staff is friendly, but is either not well-trained or not well-qualified. Took 25 minutes for us to get six shakes. My brother ordered to slushy's and it shake it has been 35 minutes plus. We literally took out the camping chairs because it was taking so long. I order ahead through the app to help hurry along my order. 2 drinks. I set pickup for 10 minutes instead of ASAP. I got there 5 minutes early and checked in. My time came. Then 5 more minutes. All while workers look at me through the window. Walk past my car. Another 5 minutes still nothing. Finally I ask someone where my drinks are. She tells me she'll check and come back in under a minute. They had made my drinks and just left them. So now I have watered down and melted drinks with nothing. No apology. No anything. Of course it had been paid for via the app. I like the sweet tea. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't go back. Food is cold most of the time. And it takes forever. Service was terrible ordered our food, and had to go to the window and he had to repeat order because it was all wrong sat there for 10 minutes, trying to get our order and he kept closing window as we were trying to talk to him. Ordered a slushy and he forgot about it and opened the window and was rude and asked did he forget something and we said you're forgetting our slushie and he just slammed the window again. When we finally had our food in hand, we realized they had completely left out one of our combo meals (which we did get charged for, by the way). I have eaten here a few times. The food is pretty darn good for fast food. Especially those tiny cheese ball things (cant remember what they are called). The one thing I really dislike about this restaurant is the ordering method. You can either wait to sit in your car in a parking space and order, or you can go inside and press a button on a wall and shout your order to the whole room of customers. There are no staff in sight and I think its weird. Its just a quiet room of tables with a door and a speaker on the wall. Horrible experience! When it was all said and done we wasted an hour here. Took 40 min to get part of our food then another 10 for drinks and 10 more for them to figure out how to compensate us & they still couldn't figure out how to refund a gift card. The employees are so unfriendly and rude. If it wasn't for the assistant manager this would be a much worse review. I hope she can get things under control and teach her employees some customer service skills. Today I took my wife and daughter for the first time to Sonic, we ordered burgers and shakes(since that's their "thing"). I started to drink the shake after eating some of the fries, taking sips from it here and there. After a few sips my chest began to hurt like my muscles were tensing up, my throat started to burn and I had trouble breathing. I thought my allergies were acting up due to the larger open doors. I took another drink of my shake and notice something crunchy in it, it was a piece of Butterfinger candy bar. Me being allergic to peanuts I almost lost it, my wife being the cooler of the two of us went to tell the manager about the contamination. The manager had no clue what he was doing, said they use the same machine to make all the shakes, after saying that I became outraged telling him "I've had shakes from Dairy Queen, they use the same machine and I have yet to have an allergic reaction from cross contamination.
