It's not easy to find an old-fashioned deli counter these days, and it was nice to find Steamboat in Casper. Good sammies, some coffee drinks, chips - and that small-business charm that you just don't get in a retail franchise. We came in at the end of the lunch hours so it was just us, and the folks were friendly even though we were edging in on their break period. Good sandwiches, really nice bread and ingredients. We didn't really scout the outlet section but it seems to be a lot of tshirts and the like. read more

I ran to this place while at a conference. It was awesome, fast, and great food and service.

After a locals recommendation, we stopped here for lunch. The hubs got the ham and Swiss sammie and I did the hummus and veggie, no cheese sammie. He also got a chocolate chip cookie. The hummus and veggie sammie had nice thin slices of veggie with a really smooth and creamy hummus. It was a nice sammie! The hubs enjoyed his as well and we both enjoyed the cookie which had nice big chunks of semi sweet chocolate. Service was fast and friendly and the place was full on a Friday. I'm all for supporting local businesses but this was probably the smallest and most bland Italian sandwich I've ever had. My sandwich and drink was over $10. And I left hungry. I'm not a huge meat eater but the sandwich was essentially one or 2 slices of each meat, some cheese, no seasoning, and was no bigger than my hand. I thought I ordered a child's sandwich for a minute. If you'd ever had Jimmy John's mini sandwich, that's the size equivalent of what I received. And it had absolutely no flavor. I took a few bites and realized they didn't even put an Italian dressing on it. I'm glad I didn't take my husband here because he would have left even more disappointed than me. The restaurant was nice with outdoor seating but because of the tiny bland sandwich, I would never waste my money here again. read more

I quite enjoy this spot. A nice local joint with some good sandwiches, soups and salads. My favorite is the Hot Italian Beef, the juicy meat and giardiniera on a great loaf *chefs kiss*. Had breakfast here this morning and the Bacon egg & cheese croissant was very good. Cooked to order, it was delicious. Would have preferred cheddar over the pepper jack cheese that was on it though. Both the staff are super friendly and the restaurant is clean and bright. Other than finding parking, this is a great local place to have breakfast or lunch. read more

Disappointing. The staff was condescending and rude. The portions were tiny. The flavors were okay but I wouldn't come back.

We stopped in for a quick sandwich on our way out of town. The owner was very nice and we really enjoyed talking to her! The Italian beef sandwich was delicious, highly recommend. Great selection of great tasting sandwiches! They know how to do a classic club, plenty of ham, turkey, with good portion of thick cut bacon and a chipotle mayo which added a nice touch. I can't wait to try their other sandwiches. They have an authentic Cuban sandwich, which I've never seen in Wyoming. There is a traditional Italian hot beef i just try and a muffelletta! This little deli is a gem downtown! The staff is friendly and always willing to give a recommendation if you need one, but honestly there hasn't been a single sandwich I've tried that I haven't 100% enjoyed. The special of the day is posted outside on a whiteboard along with the daily soup with the standard menu hanging directly inside on the wall after you walk in. Ordering is easy and food is received promptly with minimal to almost no wait time. The value is incredible as well. These aren't your run of the mill average joe sandwiches. These puppies will rock your socks off. Every sandwich I've tried has been bursting with flavor and quality ingredients. Combinations of ingredients that I was skeptical about have blown my mind. You could close your eyes and pick anything on the menu and I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint. My favorites are the Cuban and the Chicken Salad. The dill in the chicken salad is incredible. Add in the cranberry walnut bread and it's heaven. A must try. My husband's hands down favorite is the Chicken Bahn Mi. If that's the daily special he's sure to get it every time. If you're downtown stop in and give these guys a try! You'll like them so much you'll go back to work and tell your boss they cater and request them for your next work meeting because, Subway who?
