This location is chronically understaffed. When we went on a Saturday around 6pm there was a sign saying drive thru only due to a staff shortage. We waited several minutes to order but our food came out hot and fresh. Everything tasted great! I wish the store itself set the employees up to be more successful. I always forget that this is here. It may because even though it is on Route 30, it is below the road. It sits down in a valley that you really don't see while passing by. Unless you happen to be caught at the red light or in the plaza it sits in. Even with it being hard to see it is always busy. We ordered ahead before you came here because it was going to be a quick stop before we headed home. When we arrived we pulled up and let them know we were there to pick up an app order. It wasn't ready when we showed up, but they told us to pull into one of the spots and they would run it out for us. Me and my boyfriend came here (first time going to any sonic location) ordered 2 drinks, 2 things of fries and 2 Philly cheese steaks. They gave us our drinks (do not taste good btw) and a bag with only 1 thing of fries in it. The rest of what we ordered was nowhere to be seen. The ordering stalls are not open at this Sonic, only the drive thru. After placing an order thru the app, you're forced to wait in a line of cars. Seemingly the food is made for each order, so no one moves until the front car is served. I've had time to write this review because I've been sitting 5 cars deep for over 25 minutes. The app makes you pay for your order up-front so there's no leaving. We're watching cars give up and get out of line. So I am finally bringing myself to write this review as I really wanted to try and let sonic redeem itself as it's my childhood favorite fast food as it reminds me of my Oklahoma roots. This location over the last 5 visits has been out of buns, chicken, messed up drinks and food orders, cold food and generally has been extremely slow and irregular through Covid where drive thru was shut down and now is drive thru only which has increased lines and wait times. The lack of leadership at this store is appalling as there is such thing as "having a bad night" but this many consistent mistakes has to be coming from the top down. The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is today is the first time I came here and my order was good and wasn't a disastrous adventure. Please do better as it's a shame this store is not living up to the brand it's named. read more

The drive-through often takes a mysteriously long time, but for fast food, Sonic is one of my favorites. They have burgers like their competitors, but I like that they have hot dogs as well. You can get a lot of flavors added to your drink, and their slushies are pretty good, too. Nothing fancy on the menu, but the tater tots are always the right choice. They're a little bit cheaper than Steak & Shake and quite a bit cheaper than Five Guys. You can't get too excited about a drive-thru/drive-in, but sometimes Sonic hits the spot. read more

Oh my I think I have fallen for Sonic. Went here with my parents last night to satisfy some after-dinner munchies. All of it was great. I got two different hot dogs. The one was the coney dog with onion rings on it, and the other was the bacon blue dog. Both of them were great. I easily could have killed another 2 or maybe even 3. My dad got a burger, which he loved. He also praised the place for putting good veggies on and a THICK slice of tomato (just as he stated). I think this place puts more into their food than the other big name fast food places they are in competition with. I forgot how good Sonic was and how many different types of food they sell. This is the very 1st time I spotted at a sonic. I came with! Son because we had some time to kill between appointments and it was an early lunch. When we tried to speak our order the gentleman asked a couple questions when we didn't hear him correctly and I asked for clarification he got rude and yelled back at us when I said it would help if he didn't yell he tried to say something about his speakers which I doubt because that would be a shame for a place where you drive up and use your speakers. It was about 11:15 so the place was not that busy at the time only one other car it took about 20 minutes for them to get us the two combination meals we ordered we had nothing fancy and nothing out of the ordinary. I went to sonic because I was craving a hot dog. Last time I was there I got a regular hot dog, but was a bit hungrier, so I opted for the foot long. My wife really enjoys their burgers, so she was driving so I said twist my arm. The footlong was cold, barely room temperature. I thought they were going to make a attempt at a grill mark but they weren't having it. I think they threw the hot dog in the microwave from the freezer and onto the bun. Don't pay extra for the cheese, it's nothing to write home about. I had seen some advertising for a chicken slinger on tv. Well let's just say you should skip this sandwich entirely.. for 2.49 they should give you something bigger than a mcchicken sandwich at McDonald's. They have the worlds smallest brioche bun.. we are talking White Castle hamburger small!! Jeesh! What a disappointment. Nothing epic about this sandwich at all. Just a bunch of hype, no substance. Now mind you, I know they try to push their over priced slushes, but my wife and I opted for a regular coke and Diet Coke... it was if they never serve regular pop... no fizz!?and the syrup tasted awful.. unable to finish! About a month a go, i was on my way to Kennywood with a car full of kids and adults mixed and we were wanting to grab some food on the way to save us some money. We are from a small town where Sonic doesn't exist, so we went with Sonic- What a treat! NOT, at least not at this one. I pressed the button and was told to wait, I waited alright, a good real 15 minutes, not it felt like 15 minutes, a real 15 minutes. Then I pushed it again and got someone else who started to take my order then stopped taking my order. I pushed it again and got a we will be right with you, by now at least a half hour had gone by. Then, I literally backed my car up moved into a new order booth and tried it all over, i got a welcome to sonic we will be right with you and i said "NO!", by now every car around me had their order! was ok , first and most likely last experience .. I was in the mood for wings and thought buy one get one was a great deal but I was wrong... I got there and could not reach the order board without having to get out of my car... so decided to go thru the drive thru... the new shakes were not listed on the menu board (the tunnel shakes) so I asked about it and was told there would be an upcharge from the master blast shake price... I was confused to went to the window to inquire... I was greeted by a young man (who seemed high ) who said he was the manager... I asked him why they were not listed and got the "i don't know I don't make the prices" I said I did not expect him to be in charge of that but asked why it was not added to the board he said "uhhhhh I don't know" ... I then asked how much the upcharge would be ... he walked away and asked another team member who had to look it up.... seriously when does a manager not know the prices of his store.... then I said ok I will just take the wings and fries I ordered and a shake ... I then said the shake that is 2.59 what size is that ... to which he said it was a regular size... I said are you sure??? he said oh that is the mini shake ... again a manager not knowing his menu.... he then said I could not pay from the pay dock at the window cause it did not work so I could pay once the order was brought to my car.... meaning I had to hand my card over to him.... ... I pulled up and waited... the milkshake was so thick I could barely drink it ... even after it melted by the time I got home... seems instead of using a thin peanut butter syrup for flavor they use actual peanut butter that will seize up a drink.... the fries were cold and I asked how long ago they had come up and he said we JUST made them... I handed him one and he then said sorry you're right they are cold.... so he fixes the drink (which was still too thick but oh well) and the fries and takes the cost off my bill , which was nice but I get home and none of the wings were marked so I could know which were which... I called to ask and was hung up on by the manager ... my son called back and he then told him which wings were which... I would not recommend this place nor the garlic parm wings unless you like a very thick bottled sauce that is a cross between italian dressing and alfredo sauce ...I could accept one or two issues and go back but the lack of professionalism , lack of maintenance on their systems and equipment , and lack of training for the manager which is to be the face of the store leaves me to not wishing to go back... this place I was hoping would be the carhops of old with a personal experience.... very disappointed read more
