They will not fix it. Luckily when I asked for my refund for NOT accommodating my order thankfully they did went ahead and ended up fixing my order, BUT they said they're only gonna fix my order just this one time so pretty much if a customer made a mistake on their order it's your fault. We went to Sonic's last night (1/11/24) since we haven't had any in a long time. We ordered chili dog, fries, mozzarella sticks, chicken slinger, and tater tots. Most of the food was good until I got to the chicken slinger. My boyfriend and I shared the sandwich. The end parts looked crispy and cooked so of course we took a bite of it. Until we got towards the middle, I looked and noticed the chicken was clear in the dark. So I turned my flash on and it was pink. The chicken wasn't thoroughly cooked and we ate some of it already . We have found memories of Sonic Drive-In. It was a treat to get a Cherry Limeade, the largest size of course. Well we had just gone on a hike nearby and we figured we were closer here than ever so we figured we'd just grab some food here. Well the line was a bit long as we arrived but we figured, hey it won't take that long. Thirty minutes later...and contemplating if going to the parking spots would've been quicker, we did end up doing our order and getting our meal. Not sure what was the hold up or if this is typical of the wait times at a Sonic. Again we rarely go here and typically only get a drink. This time we did end up getting some food. Either way, it's not too shabby in terms of food. I just wish there was an easier way to view the menu while waiting in line for the drive thru. But I think I have this issue with a lot of drive thru fast food places. It's assumed that you already know the menu and know exactly what you'd like. I did end up just searching for the menu online and do our best to know what to order when we got to the front. Perhaps this might be some of the hold up. Although we had fond memories of the Cherry Limeade, we have oddly had a change in taste buds as it felt super sweet the last time we got it. It did give me a wild headache which I do tend to get with super sweet things. But I do love their crushed ice. It's still quite a novel idea of having folks rollerskate/rollerblade to your car like in the "olden" days. I think if you'd like to experience that, this is the spot to do so. We have not been to Sonic since it first opened in Hayward a long time ago so we decided to have it for dinner. The first thing I did was install their app so that I can get an idea on their prices. I immediately got three offers and one of it was B1G1 free meal but it's actually B1G1 free sandwich. When I read meal, I thought it came with fries and a drink but you see it on the selection they give you once you decide to place an order. We got 2 SuperSONIC bacon double cheeseburger (1 is free from the app offer), Cherry Limeade Slush RT44 (the biggest size they offer), and Large (Tater) Tots and it came out to a total of $15.76 which was pretty good price for dinner for what we ordered. We each got a huge and delicious burger, we shared the yummy tots and the huge slush. I forgot to add Nerds on the slush but will do it next time. Their drink prices are awesome for the size that you get. Their slush is so perfect for the Summer. We didn't finish the slush so we took it home and put it in the fridge and it didn't melt overnight. That slush is so good that I'm craving for more right now. I would like to try different flavors and plan to get the milkshake next. When we got to the stall, we just entered the stall number on the ap and waited for our food. Our order was delivered to our car in about ten minutes, after we entered the stall number, which was around 6:45pm on a Thursday night. Their drive through was long and there were plenty of cars in stalls so I thought it would a lot longer to get our food. It was hot in the car, even with the window down so we decided to eat at one of their outdoor tables. Unfortunately, when we were halfway done with our burgers, one car parked directly across from where we were sitting but left their engine running, while in their stalls waiting for their food, and you can smell the exhaust coming out of their car so we decided to go back in our car where we finished the rest of our food. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was delicious and really great size and the drinks are also huge and economically priced. We will definitely come back to get more drinks. Took my partner who has never been to Sonic on the 4th of July. We drove in to one of the stalls and ordered some food. We ended up parking elsewhere and eating at one of the tables outside...because chili cheese tots and new cars don't really go together. Not sure if the tots were supposed to come with a fork, but good thing I had an emergency spoon in my purse. The tea was good, the tots were chili-cheesy, and the cheeseburger on Texas toast was scrumptious. The tots reminded you of hot lunch days and they served tater tots with chili...so that was a nice trip down memory lane. You First, all of the spots where you pull in and order all had cones in front of them and there are only about 5 parking spots in the back, but they were all taken. I went here with family around 8:55pm for dinner yesterday (Thursday). It was all of our first time trying Sonic, so we were confused how they do things here because there were no signs telling us where to go. This place has areas where you can order your food while parked. There's a bunch of parking spaces with menu signs, but you have to pay by card after you order. There's also the option to pay by cash which is the long line of cars wrapped around the building. We decided to order at the parking spaces with menu signs, but didn't know they only accepted card. I ordered the #3, which is the Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal and chose tater tots as my side. I also ordered the Chili Cheese Fries. All of my food was good and was still hot and crispy! It was even crispier than other fast food restaurants I've been to. It felt like my food was freshly made too. I'd recommend this place, but try not to make the same mistakes we did if you prefer paying with cash. The machine at our parking spot had technical difficulties when we tried to pay by card. When I received an email regarding a new product called, "lemonberry slush float" I was totally enticed into making a trip to Sonic. And must I say, it was absolutely delicious. It integrated the flavors I love (strawberries and lemons). If anyone has tried "Rainbow Drive-In" in Oahu, Hawaii, it is comparable to that. However, I wish there was more slush than ice cream (I know many would say ice cream costs more than slush!). My go to drink is the lemonberry slush. Stinks that it isn't covered by the half off! Definitely download the Sonic app because especially during this time you can pay online (and someone will bring it to your car) AND there are discounts such as half off slushees ALL DAY! The service is very patient, outgoing, and beyond my expectations. The first time I went using mobile order and as I attempted to input the stall number, this cancelled me out of the app. I asked one of the servers what to do and she guided me through it all. The first stall which we tried, had an error message on the screen and the red button did not work. So, we backed out and pulled into another stall. This one didn't have an error message but also didn't work. So, I went in person to try to place an order. I circumnavigated around the building and found that there is no walk-up counter. There is an order screen by some outdoor tables. I pressed the red button on that screen and then waited.... and waited... and waited.... and waited some more. After about 10 minutes of waiting, a voice answered the red button and took my order. It was a simple order: large mozzarella sticks ($4.69) and large tater tots ($3.39). This began another long wait..... It took over 15+ minutes before someone brought this out. So, while this may look like "fast" food, it is in reality "very very slow food" both to order and then to prepare it. The food tasted as expected, but the service was terrible. Between my 2 visits here, I would say it's more of a 2.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 3 (for the nice workers). Pros: - The prices are quite good because they have the 1/2 drinks and other deals, like the 1/2 off Patty Melt. For 4 drinks and a few other items, I paid about $25 both times. The drinks were good (I personally like the blue raspberry slushy). The food was alright; the quality matched the price range (more in cons). - There are a lot of customizations for the drinks. - It's also a kind of fun experience to order from Sonics at the cool stalls, but we actually just use our phones because of COVID. Both of the locations near us are still a 30+ min drive, so that might be what adds to the fun. - The staff is nice. Cons: - We waited for quite awhile. For a fast food place, this place is quite a wait. Both times we waited around 20-30 minutes, perhaps even a bit more the first time because it was kind of busy (this recent time was quite empty, but the wait was still long). - Missing items: My pretzel did not come with the cheese dip, which was really disappointing. The pretzel tasted good (I'm sure with the dip it would have been better), but it was pretty small-about hand's length. We also did not get all the sauces we asked for; we did get sauces, but it seemed to be a random mix with some that we did not ask for. - The food is really salty. It was a bit too salty for me, so I didn't eat much of it. The tater tots were kind of tasteless and were stuck together, so they fell apart when I tired to eat one. The Coney Footlong lives up to it's name, although I would recommend toppings on the side because ours got really soggy. Soggy seemed to be a trend because my breakfast wrap and patty melt were also soggy. I might drop by if I'm in the area, but this would not be somewhere I visit often (maybe once a year?). The waiter asked which kind of dog i wanted i said chicago it was an additional.90 c charge then drink i said cherry lemonade another additional charge n side i asked for onion rings addition charge. Suggestion would be to just have the meals pictured separately? Absolutely, positively terrible! The place was pretty empty, we pulled up in a small dirty stall and the screen to order was off. All of sudden it reset and we placed an order. Low and behold the card reader isn't working, fine I'll pay with cash. 20 minutes pass no one brings food. So we leave and go to Taco Bell/KFC across the way and have food in 2 minutes.
