After seeing my Yelp friend Victor's review of the Yelp event that occurred here, I had to try. Through Door Dash, I ordered the Royal Berrirama Smoothie, which has cranberry juice (and I added Sea Moss), Lentil Soup, and 3-Vegan Samosas with the Sweet Sauce. I'm always excited when I find healthy takeout in my area. The Lentil Soup is sublime. I'm talking last meal type of a thing. The Beluga lentils they use are dark and tiny. They are cooked melt in your mouth and very flavorfully spiced. The Vegan Samosas were super tasty as well. They are in a light, delicate wrapping, not the thicker type that you sometimes see. I was surprised by the sauce. I was expecting something thick and overly sweet but that wasn't the case. It was subtle, saucy, somewhat sweet with a little bit of tang. This place is in a plaza near the CSUEB campus, with plentiful parking. The inside is colorful and leans into the healthy vibes. There are a TON of informational signs about the health benefits of certain juice ingredients. It really feels like this spot has done its research. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and informative. We ended up going for a #9 Royal Berrirama, which was delicious. We also tried a chicken samosa, which was tasty but different from other samosas I've had. It was on the small side, and contained a yellow curry with ground chicken and potatoes, encased in a soft shell that felt more baked than deep fried. Today was my first day trying Fresh Fuel. It is in the small shopping center a little above East Bay. It is a decent sized shop but there is no tables/seating. I was immediately greeted, and the cashier offered to walk me through the menu. It was super helpful and very nice. They mostly have smoothies and juices. They also sell snacks and sea moss. I ordered a Maui Magic smoothie and 3 samosas with the sweet sauce. There were only 2 folks working in there so there was a little wait, but they were engaged and checked in the whole time. My smoothie was delicious but a little sweet for me. (I think it was the orange sherbet) I did really like it though. The samosas were good. They had a nice crunch to them. I will be coming back. Hubby has been craving smoothies and I decided to find a smoothie place that's not Jamba Juice. I was looking around on Yelp and found Fresh Fuel Juicery near our house so we decided to go over there and try it out. When we went the first time, there was only 2 workers. The one at the cash register was so kind and patient with us as we were looking and asking questions. We decided to get a smoothie each, some of the sea moss, sea moss smoothies and wheatgrass shot. She also told us if we sign up with our number that we can start earning points. Hubby and I really enjoyed it and a few weeks later I came back to order more smoothies and this time they had samosas! It's sooo good.
