After my first experience I would not hesitate to become a loyal customer. I've never had a better experience at a boba place. The staff were so kind and friendly and cheerful. They made my day better after interacting with her. I ordered a drink for my wife and she decided i didn't order it correctly so I asked if they can change the order. I was expecting them to do it if I asked but she was so kind. She offered me to keep the first drink and remade a new one for me with a huge smile. Excellent customer experience save. The drinks are also excellent and I really liked the taro drink with fresh taro. It'll be nice with even a little more taro or taro paste. Wish we could choose sugar level but nothing seems overly sweet here. Only complaint is that the drink lids ripe every time you insert a straw. They need nicer plastic lids. They're usually very quick with online orders. We usually get either the lychee on lychee, peach oolong or the guava sunset. As mentioned, their drinks lean on the sweeter side even at 50% so if you want something more light definitely opt for 25% sweetness and less ice. For fruitier drinks I usually opt for crystal boba but honey boba works too if you want a chewier texture. Overall can't wait to be back and highly recommend. read more

There are a few tables outside which are shared with the other businesses, no seating inside but standing and waiting space. With the heat, we just took our drinks to go. Teaspoon currently has a banana series I've been curious about. I got the Banana Matcha Royale with Oat Milk and Boba. I got less sweetness and ice. The drink was so good! Very prominent banana flavor, while a more subtle matcha flavor. Even with half the sweetness it was still quite sweet. The boba was fine but some pearls were a bit harder. I feel that teaspoon drinks are usually on the sweeter end and taste-wise wise it's not always consistent. Teaspoon is a good option in Hayward for those craving tea and is near this shop. I previously tried their Silky Mango and was a big fan of it so wanted to try their Silky Strawberry this time around. Love love love coming here for their matcha!! Their matcha is ceremonial grade but it's not too strong and 75% is the perfect sweetness. It also pairs really well with their honey boba which is sweet & perfectly chewy. We tried their limited goosebumps matcha drink which was a matcha latte with black sugar swirls. I was scared it was going to be too sweet or the matcha flavor wouldn't come through but it was just as good as the matcha royale! We came here on a weekend afternoon and everything we ordered was fresh. We had a guava drink and a mango drink. The guava drink was less sweet as we recommended. The fruit purée was also delicious as was the mango. We wish there were other milk options offered for the mango drink, but we didn't bother to ask. There are some neat drink combinations that I hope to try. I appreciate them using paper looking straws but I noticed some were not strong enough and some people had a hard time opening their drink with it, getting even more straws and defeating the purpose of eco-friendly straws at that point. There is not seating inside and it was hectic, filled to the brim. There were like 40-50 people inside but no no one directing traffic and not enough AC. In fact, it was hot and uncomfortable inside -- not what I'd expect for a tea shop. It was also disorganized. When people come in, there's a screen you can order at or a cashier you can order at. But there's no actual sign at the screen that you can order there and you'd really only know you can order there if someone told you or if you'd been there before. Loved how it wasn't too sweet with 50% sweetness and the crystal boba was very chewy. Overall very refreshing drink for me! Had a couple sips of their classic matcha latte - thought the matcha flavors were strong and the drink was well mixed. Also got to try the seasonal ruby fizz but it was wayy too sweet at 100%. It nevertheless had a nice guava juice taste and I liked the sparkling water/soda fizz. There were some seating outside but none inside. Hadn't been here for awhile since opening time. Bday man wanted the boba after Korean bbq dinner; therefore he decided to visit teaspoon. The place had become very popular especially among chabot college students and families. Lines could be long especially after classes and weekend. Never disappointed. Friendly counter person whom always smiled. I couldn't ask for the name and didn't notice the name tag. My family tried matcha, taro, and brown sugar. The wait time was not long. Matcha was good. I didn't get to try Taro and brown sugar. I also recalled that the Thai tea was good especially the hot hot summer day. They advertised new lemonade. I might have to pull up into the lot next time.
