I've been several nights around the same time, well before closing and have been told the system is down and they cannot take orders. So either the system is terrible and needs replaced or the employees are doing a disservice to the owner by intentionally turning away customer. read more

Pretty nice and new for a Sonic, but it's understaffed and was having bad technical issues when we were there for a quick drink. We tried parking, the drive thru and eventually just walked up to order. The guy next to us had paid for his order and had been waiting for over half an hour. I felt bad for the employees, they were doing the best they could-- but something needs to be fixed. Our order was wrong when we got it but wasn't worth the hassle to fix it. The only reason I gave it more than one star is because they gave us our drinks for free for the wait. Probably won't be coming back to this one. read more

We waited over 20 minutes in the drive threw, the lady came out and brought the food out for the car behind us so we asked when ours would be ready and she just said soon and we had said we had been waiting and she didn't care to check on our food and after waiting that long we left. Definitely need to work in their customer service and wait times for a fast food restaurant. Very disappointed! read more

Single handily THE WORST SERVICE EVER. The always get my order wrong. I waited 45 MINUTES and they served my burgers to me cold. I ordered a drink and they gave me a slushy. If I could put a negative star review I would. If you see more than two cars here, just leave and don't waste your time and hard earned money. No one picked up the phone either. I wish I could give this Sonic a zero. They have the worst customer service and the longest wait times. Here's the thing everything is understaffed right now and most people, including myself, understand that but that doesn't give you a right to be rude to your customers. Especially when they are not being rude to you and you are the one who messed up the order. There is a lady named Tia there. She slammed the door in my face 3 times, cussed at me multiple times, refused to allow another employee to help fix the order SHE MESSED UP. Then when calling to find out her name (because I asked her in person but she told me that she wasn't going to give it to me and slammed the door in my face for a third time) she told me that I could "take my white privilege a** somewhere else" and hung up the phone on me.... I'm not sure when asking a Resturant to fix THEIR mistake that you paid for became a privilege... I just figured if you are paying for what you want you should get what your ordered. Also I checked my receipt because I had to do mobile order and I did order it correctly. They just made it incorrectly.... I saw that the SONIC was under new management a while ago but clearly nothing's changed. This place is great! I went here today and got the double cheese burger, onion rings and cheese cake bites. The burger tasted good, like it was fresh and recently made. Onion rings are the best I've had. My only complaint are the cheese cake bites. They aren't exactly sweet and the crust on them are nasty. It's a pretty nice place, it doesn't get to busy. This review is based on a DoorDash order, but the food was prepared by Sonic. The order was apparently not packaged correctly, because the main entrée, a cheeseburger was left out. I reached out to DoorDash, they submitted an order to have my cheeseburger delivered. Once it got here, the burger looked like the most disgusting thing I could've picked out of a garbage can. The burger was stone cold, it had a thumbprint in the bun, and looked like it had also been sat on. I thought I saw something strange inside the meat, so I used the magnifying app on my phone to look closely at it. I don't know what it is, but it looks gross. The chocolate milkshake was disgusting. It looks like it was made with half a cup of chocolate syrup and a little bit of ice cream. A normal chocolate milkshake should not be this color. The small cola arrived with both chocolate and ketchup smudges under the lid. None of the food in our order came with ketchup. read more

I have been to this location many times, and frankly, I don't know why I keep wasting my time or money. One time (maybe three months ago) I waited in line for over thirty minutes for four milkshakes. And when they came out they were melted, not to mention there was only one other person in line. Since then I've been back twice. The last time I received a vanilla milkshake (I ordered chocolate caramel). They fixed it, and I just assumed it was a mistake. Then, yesterday, I ordered a milkshake (same kind) and received yet another vanilla milkshake with fudge and caramel remnants on the edges. This Sonic does not mix their shakes and they're pure vanilla. Not to mention the people working inside are quite sketchy. They bring their kids to work and everything, as well. VERY SLOW service through the drive-thru at this one, unlike most other Sonics. Food is average, like all the other Sonic chains. If you are not in a huge hurry and are craving Sonic, go for it if you are driving past on hwy 74. It's no different than the dozens of other Sonic chains around the area, except the often slow service. I have been there several times since I live close, and about 80% of the time it is way slower than it should be to get some food. If it's busy at all (i.e. More than 1 car in the drive thru), then stay away! You have been warned. :) read more

My family and I went to this sonic today, and this was by far the worst experience at any sonic that i've ever had. We ordered fine and the lady got everything we ordered correct, but it took awhile to get our food, and when we finally got our food we were in such a rush to get home and eat that we didn't check the bag to make sure it was correct, and we just assumed that it would be. Well, we were wrong. My brother ordered chicken tenders and fries, and he got tater tots instead of fries, and he ordered a side of honey mustard and he didn't get it. My mom and I both ordered hotdogs with a side of mozzarella sticks, and neither of us got the mozzarella sticks. As a matter of fact, we didn't get any sides, and we know for a fact we ordered combos. My Dad ordered 2 cheeseburgers, and it only had ketchup and pickles on it, and the picture and the menu says it comes with ketchup, mayo, pickles, lettuce, tomato and onions. If it only comes with ketchup and pickles that's fine, just update your menu please. I love the food at sonic, but I might have to go to another location, and you should too. read more

Terrible experience tonight. My family and I went at 10:45 - 15 minutes before this Sonic closes. We waited for someone to answer to take our order for quite a while. Then, after we pulled back up we double checked to ask if they were still open. Someone comes over (the same woman) and says "no." On most occasions I receive the correct food. However, there have been times where my food's been wrong. One time in particular there was no cheese on my daughter's grilled cheese sandwich. Um...how? LOL. And for whatever this franchise no longer uses the credit card readers. I think it's to force you to pay tips (which I had no idea that carhops received). As others mentioned, the food is nothing special; you can do better going up the road a few more miles to the South 21 in Matthews. But the lower than average rating is because on 2 separate occasions they got our order wrong. I don't mean forgetting no cheese or something, I mean the sandwich delivered ( chicken tenders on a roll) wasn't the one ordered ( a hamburger).
