I think I may be a sucker for punishment. I keep going back to this place and each time it gets worse and worse. This time we stopped in and the food was not only ice cold but the fries and tots were hard as a rock. We all laughed at each other because we knew that this was going to happen. I am a fan of sonic because they continue to create such great menu items! Always something new and different! We like their breakfast burritos, but the cheeseburgers are among the best we have found, and if the flavor options for shakes grows much larger, well, they might have to make the menu even larger. Friendly staff, fair prices. I've only gone thru the drive-thru so I can't speak to the option of in-vehicle dining, but it seems there are always a few vehicles there, so it must be a good option! Happy hour prices are great for the bargain hunters! Service is generally quick too. read more

Nothing fancy, just a cheeseburger (no onions), fries, a vanilla cone and an ice tea. So I wait in the drive up behind 3 vehicles for 10 minutes. I see the 2 vehicles in front of me each pull up to the order board speaker and then pull out of the drive up line. I get up to the speaker and a voice says "welcome to Sonic, it will be a 15 - 20 minute wait, what would you like to order?" I say, "why?", you have 1 car in front of me and only 4 cars in your parking lot." The voice says, " sorry, our kitchen is backed up." I know places are short staffed but if you don't have enough staff to operate a fast food drive up during the lunch hour, you should probably not be open at all until you do have enough staff. We stopped here for lunch on our way up to the Grand Canyon. We wanted to just grab food and go, so we opted for the drive-thru. We were sitting at the speaker, waiting a while before someone finally acknowledged us. We ordered a family-sized popcorn chicken, tater tots, onion rings, and a drink. And then the waiting continued.... There were only three cars ahead of us and we had waited nearly 15 minutes. A gal came out of the restaurant on skates and wheeled over to our car. I was confused because I didn't know they delivered people's food out of order in the drive thru. The car in front of us was confused as well as we saw them throw their hands out the window like, "where's OUR food?" We paid through her external card machine and drove around the line to leave. I checked the bag and realized she didn't give us any sauce for the popcorn chicken. I had my boyfriend park the car and I walked up to the nearby door. No one paid me any attention for about 5 minutes. I had to physically wave at a girl inside for her to come out to see what I needed. I asked for BBQ and honey mustard. Well here I sit, on this lovely Saturday night. There's no one here, and I'm having a great night with my friends. Suddenly, I decide to order a shake. Only one problem...the shake never came.. the shake...never...came. So now, i sit here, hungry, scared, scared that they may have forgotten my existence. I fear the shake may never come. This is, hands-down, the best Sonic in the Kingman area. There are 2 more, one in Golden Valley (which is the worst for its incredibly slow, rude service) and Andy Devine, where the service is also slow and your order is wrong about 50% of the time. The only bad thing I've noticed recently about this Sonic is the tendency for management to put kids who have no idea how to use the "key mic" button for their headsets on order taking. Seriously, you need to keep that button pushed the entire time you're talking, not intermittently. The food at this Sonic is solid and reliable. When you order without onions, you get without onions, extra mayo gets extra mayo, etc. The kids working there are friendly and fast. Definitely a good place to stop for a quick, satisfying, predictable lunch. read more
