We've been to this Sonic several times now and there is always something wrong with our order- something missing or not made right. Most recently, we went maybe a week ago and ordered 2 sweet n tangy bacon cheeseburgers. When we got them home, we realized neither one had bacon... so we paid $5 each for cheeseburgers when that was not what we wanted. I get that maybe they were out of bacon or something because of the pandemic, but the employee should say something when someone orders something with bacon or they need signs saying if they are out of something so customers know what we're getting. I don't know if they were out of bacon or just forgot to put it since no one said anything so we assumed we were getting what we ordered. This is the WORST Sonic location. Yesterday my mother and I went thru the drive-thru. We stopped at the menu board. First, you should know a few things: 1). There were 3 cars in stalls, 2). One car at the window checking out and receiving their order 3). We were the only car in the drive-thru. When we drove in I had not fully decided what I wanted ti eat; I wanted to look at the menu board. We were greeted and asked our order. My mother nicely asked for a few moments b/c I was looking. The lady RUDLY replied "You need to pull into a stall ma'am". Not the correct reply, especially to my mother. Mom said no and ordered. She mistakenly said a "spicy" chicken sandwich. The response was "We don't carry spicy chicken, next". Excuse me? Why are we being treated so rudely? I ordered something different b/c I was so shocked at the response. When we prepared to pay she opened the window and my mother started to ask her why we we were directed to pull into a stall?; however, the lady shut the window while Mom was trying to ask her the question. This is strike three. We received our order and Mom asked her the question and her response was "Ma'am (in an extremely rude tone with an elevated sound level) we only have two people taking orders and you we're ordering slowly"; the later was incorrect. Mom responded with "Chick-fil-a, y'all are not, you should take some lessons" and drive off. Wow, HORRIBLE service. NEVER,NEVER will we go back. Besides the extremely rude service, our order was incorrect and the cups were dirty, the grounds were not clean. The ticket had a phone number and contact person, "Michael B" whom we contacted and are waiting for a response. Question, is it my responsibility to staff their store? Question, is it my fault staffing issues cause rudeness toward my mother? I am a Director of Human Resources and this employee would have lost her job today and I would venture to say she would not have understood why nor would she have cared. read more

My family and I have been to this Sonic 6-8 times and this place by far has the worst customer service of any Sonic that I have ever been to and I don't expect much at all from fast food places. It boggles my mind how long it takes this particular Sonic to make two grilled cheese sandwiches and two small tater tots with cheese. Waited almost 45 minutes. This place must be horribly managed and run. It's well worth the drive down the road to the Leander Sonic if you really have a Sonic craving. This sonic sucks as bad as the leander location as far as speed of service, but this one especially sucks bc the last 2 times I've been here, which has been months apart, the shake machine has been down. Who thinks to call beforehand since they're "thing" now is 1/2 price shakes after 8. Drive 15+ minutes to be told sorry it's been down for days. DAYS?! Kind of an important machine to get fixed. I used to work here and all I can say to the customers is I'm sorry this place has such poor management. When I was working, a manager would quit every two weeks and a new one was brought in. Also, no one would clean besides me and one other person. In the fast food industry, sanitization is very important and quickness in delivery is vital. The co-workers I worked with would harass me and say very rude comments like "Why do you clean the bathroom?" And to answer that question, because of sanitation and not getting customers sick. I honestly can't believe I got asked questions such as these, and one co-worker kept harassing me until I cried. That is why I quit my job at Sonic. I hope OSHA spots this place and takes it down, for both the customers' sake and the employees' sake. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I'm sorry to say it, but I have to be honest. We ordered on the app, the order was totally wrong. The receipt didn't match our online order. Then, to top it off, they didn't even make what was on the receipt! My husband drove all the way back to have them redo four burgers. They only gave us 3! He had to go back to fix a burger and make the 4th one! Craziness! I know it's just a Sonic y'all, but we work really hard for our money and don't like to waste it. I normally don't take the time to leave reviews but after having this happen 3+ times now I feel like I have to say something. They are terrible about how much ice they put in your drink, no matter what size you get, I feel like they hard pack the ice to the top before filling so you get hardly any drink. I actually had to measure this time and only was able to fit a 12 ounce can of soda into the 32 oz cup and that was even after taking at home and finishing it. Thanks for the 20 ounces of ice. And this was even after for specifically asking for easy ice. They must be running a really loose/shady operation if they have to cheat the customer like this to try and make ends meet. The food here is decent but you would be much better off going to the QT next-door. Also, I really think there might be a management problem here because the workers seem genuinely unhappy. I get working fast food sucks, I've been there, but on multiple occasions I've pulled up to the drive-through and it seemed like the person working had either just gotten yelled at or made me feel like I was personally inconveniencing them for placing an order. I love sonic and I've given this place multiple, multiple chances but I think it's going to have to come under new management or ownership before I this location again. Sorry guys. Getting a two star bump, going to start trying this place again, was in a hurry and the Taqueria wasn't serving breakfast so I figured I'd give them a shot, fixed their problems from the previous reviews so if they keep it up the stars will keep going up. We wanted to get a few drinks for teacher appreciation week and once the gentleman name Michael found out we were taking drinks to the teachers, he asked to cover our bill and get a drink for every teacher at the school. When I arrived to pick up the drinks, many of his staff helped and were so kind and thoughtful. The teachers were beyond excited for this thoughtful gift. Michael also threw in meal tickets they can hand out to deserving students in addition. I am so thankful for this store and their thoughtfulness in service to our community. read more

The people that work here are SO RUDE! I've had a total of 3 ladies so far be so rude. One girl who had to still be in high school wouldn't give me my change back ($5) and when I told her I needed change she literally threw my money at me. NO STARS. ZERO. Twice I have been to this location and twice I have had to leave without my order. The first time two weeks ago I waited 35 minutes for my food. Eventually had to request to cancel. I had a hard time understanding because there were only 3 cars here. Tonight I ordered a cake batter shake and was told that they don't have them, instead I asked for a coconut cream pie shake and apparently they don't have them either. I asked for a bag of ice. Nope. Don't do that either. Cancelled my order and went to Dairy Queen both times. Got exactly what I ordered quickly, both times. I'm new to the area. Been here 3 weeks. Several months ago I would have given this place 1 star, but something has changed and the last several times I've been here my food has been hot, the order was right, and the employees were nice. My biggest complaint before was that the employees would be in such a hurry they didn't check orders and they kind of shoved the food at you and ran back for the next order. Things have changed. When the food is delivered they are friendly and they let you know they checked your order and they are nailing it! I really appreciate the step up in customer service they have had recently. I have never been impressed with the service or the quality of food but on my last three visits, I have found the quality of food to get worse and worse. I'd like to say I've had more than a few Sonic burgers & tater tots. As a rule, it's one of the few fast food places I frequent. With so few options in Liberty Hill, I've given this place more chances than I wanted. They just slap the food together it's messy and unappetising. At just under $15 for burger, fries and a drink, it's highway robbery. You can look at the food and tell that the employees just don't care about the product they are serving. I wonder what they do that you can't see? With more and more options coming to L.H. I don't expect them to last much longer. I'd be willing to bet that they are barely turning a profit at this point. The last couple times I stopped at this location my food quality was pretty bad. Tots are always cold and kinda stale, burgers taste like they've been sitting there for hours after cooking, and even my strawberry shakes have been runny. I now drive the extra distance to a different location should I want sonic. One positive thing I'll say is the employees there are nice and very polite. read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Liberty Hill Sonic a few days ago (which is rare for fast food) I ordered an item that was no longer on the menu and the girl taking my order was so sweet about not knowing what I was asking for but accommodated my request. Food was pretty quick, order was correct and yummy. The young man who brought my food out was extremely kind and respectful, you could tell he actually seemed happy to be there! Ugh. It's got to be the 8th Wonder of the World: All of these negative reviews and, yet, the service continues to deteriorate. (One would think a well-compensated manager could intervene to make things better, here.) But, yep, the horrible service continues! BTW, the Sonic app is worthless, here, except for the 1/2 price drink incentives, because ordering ahead provides no faster service. Case in Point: We ordered just two (2) drinks, no food, at all. And, we've been sitting here for 16+ minutes, now, looking at a screen that says our order is coming. Not!!! This is the worst Sonic I have ever been to. The food is absolutely disgusting. I realize it's supposed to be cheap fast food...but really, I don't think they even try. I bit into a popcorn chicken and it was grey and slimy and oozy on the inside. As stupid as it sounds, it reminded of that one Spongebob episode. I spit it out and almost got sick. The burgers are thin, dried out probably due to freezer burn of some sort. The fries are soggy, limp, and super greasy. They always get some other food mixed in with yours, so I assume that means it's not handled very carefully. I have found literally small clumps of hair. I think I may have preferred a White Castle to this place. If you go to this one I would warn you to stick to the ice cream and shakes. Yuck. read more

STAY AWAY!! I think I can say without reservation that I just got the worst burger and fries I have ever had. Cold, hard, burned burger with cold and soggy fries. I think this stuff must have been reheated several times after sitting for hours. In the last year I have not found one decent big (open late) fast food chain location in Liberty Hill that is even worth it if starving.
