Man, Sonic's food is underrated. They have very soild variety, I tried Sonic for the first time in Astoria, NY. The service was good too, they're nice and the place is clean and fancy looking. I know it's not the the vintage drive-in, but I like that Sonic is trying something new for once. I just hope they last longer unlike Dairy Queen in the Bay Plaza Mall. We need different fast food chains in NYC. By the way, last week I ate the Sonic Smasher at my sister's house, it was good. And Lastly, WE NEED MORE SONICS, ESPECIALLY IN YONKERS! (Or at leash closer to Yonkers)

I didn't even know sonic was in the area. I decided to order a cheeseburger with tots and a cherry slushi. The little bits of cherry in the drink were so good. This item tasted like it was made just for me and fresh. I hadn't had sonic since like 2010. The tater tots were really good. There was one of two of them that had that crispy crunch that I like. Too bad they all weren't that crunchy. The burger was pretty good actually too I was shocked. I didn't expect much from them but they really came through with a good meal. I hope to come back one day. The place is pretty easy to get to as well if the 7 train decides that there is no service issues. If they were closer to me I would have that slushi like 3x a week, no lie.

No line , when I walk in about 8 pm . I walk to the cashier and order the Quarter pounder double cheese burger, as you can see it's ok burger ! It's $3.50 plus tax. It had a bit more cheese I thought it would! This place has plenty of seating . And if you're looking for the bathroom, the code is located in your receipt!

I came here today to get some of my favorite chicken slinger sandwiches and they were completely raw and uncooked. My partner got very bad stomach pains and we had to drive back to get a refund. I didn't want to eat the other two sandwiches, which were for me because I was scared to get sick. The supervisor was very understanding and gave u a refund with free ice cream and some more chicken and mozzarella sticks which I didn't eat, but the gesture was nice. I really think the cooks should make sure the food is fully cooked before serving it to customers.

I was so excited to cone here, since I have not seen a Sonic since my last visit to VA. I was a bit leery at the rating, but I chose the item with the best reviews.... bad idea. I ordered the #1 cheeseburger combo with a cherry limeade (upcharge) and tater tots. The staff was friendly, the space was bright, clean and open, buzzing with kids fresh out of school. Everything seemed OK. My order lonly took about 5 minutes which should have been an indication of what was to come. First, I noticed my limeade was very red, with two tiny pieces of lime. If you have ever had one from another location, you know is full of tangy limes. Not here. I have a sweet, cherry soda with a hint of lime flavor. I opened my burger and tots. It all looked fine, but once again, deceived. Tots, greasy and cold. Burger? DISGUSTING!!!! The texture was almost gelatinous, in its lukewarm, flaccid state, as if it was cooked in the microwave. Toppings, tossed on, with a hint of the pickle flavor, something I requested off my sando. With other fast food chains in the area, this may not be much more than a shakeshop or dessert stop in the future. I suggest the staff try making the recipes as directed by corporate. Or visit a location with better quality food and make the proper adjustments. Ugh, I feel sick.

First, there is no Drive-In. Second, their app is poorly written. It gives no order number and it's not easy to navigate. If you load their app you'll get rewarded a bacon cheeseburger for half price. The burger was average; the beef patties are very thin. Service was good. I definitely have to visit again to try their other stuff.

Welcome Sonic! After reading the other reviews, take it with a grain of salt. Some of the employees are young and this might be their first job so have some patience or it's a new system so they are working through things. Keep in mind, it was this store's grand opening and not everything might run smoothly in the beginning despite best efforts by all the employees especially when the demand was high. The first time was a bit hectic so I came back a second time to get a snack when it's less busy. Got a small order of nuggets (sauce option: bbq, honey mustard, ranch) and small Oreo Sonic blast. It was ready in a few minutes though make sure to take note of your order number (on the top left) which I didn't pay attention to since I put my receipt away. The nuggets were hot and the Sonic blast was perfect. If you go, enjoy!

Newly Opened; great addition to Sunnyside/LIC! I was in the neighborhood and saw Sonic....and said to myself... Tater Tots!! Haha My first impression of this location was that service is super slow. There was a long line and it didn't seem to be moving. Finally our turn, and we placed our order. Then waited for our order # to be called....and waited...and waited. After about 15 minutes, we asked them how much longer it would take. Upon their investigation (lol), they determined that they gave our order to someone else! Sooooo, we had to wait for them to remake our order. Good thing we didn't order alot! While we were waiting for our order to be remade, the customer who got our order and left, came back and said "this is not my order!". She was obviously annoyed. In total, it took us 25 minutes to get our order! To be continued... Ok, just had our snack: -- Tater Tots ($2.19/8pcs): standard tater tots but they were a little undercooked. Crispier tater tots would have been yummy! -- Ched R Peppers ($3.79/small order of 4 pcs): a little pricey for 4 pcs but these were terrific! Nice and crispy! Ask for ranch dressing for dipping. -- Sauced Jumbo Popcorn Chicken ($5.69 for medium size/12 small pcs): you have a choice of Honey BBQ or Buffalo sauce; we picked Honey BBQ. This was disappointing. Not only were these not "jumbo" (see my photo), there was only a drizzle of sauce on the popcorn chicken. There was an extra 20¢ charge for "sauced" chicken. I would suggest ordering the plain popcorn chicken and ask for dipping sauce instead of the sauced version. Also, these were undercooked and not crispy. I would definitely come back for the Ched R Peppers and Tater Tots (asking for well-done or extra crispy). Hopefully they work out the service kinks to improve speed and accuracy. Note that they don't have a double door at the entrance; making it extremely cold inside. This will be a bigger issue in the winter, when it gets colder out. But on a positive note, I do have to mention that while we dined, employees came by the dining room about 4 times, to ask everyone if they needed anything. They carried a tray with napkins, straws, condiments & utensils. Nice touch and much appreciated! :D Welcome to the neighborhood and Good Luck to Sonic! I shall be back and hopefully can update this review with a better rating!

Partially eaten tater tots, breakfast sandwich ( bacon & egg w/cheese ) and cherry limeade.

When in Western Queens, nowadays, parking may be hard to come by. But pulling up to the Sonic in Long Island City is a trip. I found parking, but it was a block away. Unlike their other locations, there is no Sonic parking lot. You don't dine in your car. Like all Manhattan restaurant locations below 90th Street, this is sit in or take out only. For a Sonic, that is unusual. There is nothing special about the breakfast sandwich I had with tater tots, but the cherry limeade is a wonder to behold. Finally, a Sonic for New Yorkers without a car.i

Looks like a lot of chili but it's not. That is some chili and virtually no cheese
    Dawnmarie S.

I'm was going to give a 2 but I know they just opened. Chili cheese dog was more dog and less chili and cheese. Same with the chili cheese tots We will order again but they had better get their butts together.. And quickly because they will get passes for only so long

    Supersonic Breakfast Burrito
    David G.

Don't really eat at Sonic but wanted to relive my childhood. I got an uber order so I did not dine in person but was underwhelmed in that my burrito did no include sausage even though it said it would. The fries that accompanied were not crispy or good to accompany the burrito. The burrito was not really good either and I'm not sure if I'd get this item again or if it was a one-time mistake.

    Small tots, exactly 7 tots.

Yesterday, although it was an unusually cold and rainy afternoon in April and I was thinking, I would have preferred buying a hot cup of coffee, I hallened upon Lilo's and decided tonwalk inside. I was immediately impressed by their incredible selection of ice creams that are written in colorful chalk on the walls of their store! The spots closest to us were closed, so we decided to make it a whole thing--me, my mom, my son, and of course the dog. Full family ice cream scavenger hunt. We ended up at Van Leeuwen, and the moment we saw the shop, we were so excited. I remember when there wasn't a storefront--when it was just the truck roaming around Brooklyn. My mom and I used to go all the way from Jersey to Brooklyn just for that ice cream. The very first time we tried it, we had just finished dinner at Sweet Chick's, saw the truck, and said, "Let's get a sweet treat." I remember getting a ginger ice cream back then, and it was so good it stuck with me. So seeing the shop now just felt full circle. We sat inside and ate our ice cream, which made it even better. I loved the bright decor--it's clean, cheerful, and just makes you want to sit and enjoy your scoop instead of rushing out. It felt welcoming and fun, especially with the whole family there. I got the vegan mango sticky rice, which was absolute perfection. So delicious. I also did the strawberry matcha, and that combination was everything. The flavors at Van Leeuwen are just so good--you really can't go wrong. I also love that you can sample, because sometimes you need to taste first before committing, and both of my choices were a win. My mom did an espresso flavor paired with peanut butter, which she loved. And of course, my son kept it classic with vanilla and sprinkles--because kids are going to kid. Their vanilla bean is really good too--simple but done right. I love that you can buy pints inside or even create your own pint if you don't want just one flavor. And then there's Winter Wednesdays--buy two pints, get one free. Like... what are we even talking about? Go get the ice cream. Plus kids eat free on Wednesdays. We're New Yorkers--we eat ice cream in the winter. This just makes sense. Niya helped us, and she was so sweet and helpful. Great energy. I got my ice cream in a waffle bowl, my mom did too, and my son got a regular cup. The waffle bowl was crispy, fresh, buttery--everything you want. I also love seeing the growth--from a truck to storefronts to being in supermarkets now. It's nostalgic for me, and the best part is the quality has stayed consistent. The ice cream is always on point. Go in, sit down, enjoy the vibe, treat yourself, bring your kids, your family--get a scoop, get a waffle bowl, take advantage of Winter Wednesdays. You really can't go wrong.

After the hype faded out in the 2010s, I thought I'd never see another Pinkberry again. Imagine my surprise when I saw this place across the street from where I was dining with a couple of friends. It was inevitable that I'd make a beeline for it right after my dinner. As usual, I got the original tart with my favorite mix-ins: a scoop of melted chocolate crunch, cheesecake bites, mochi, strawberry, kiwi, and blueberries. The froyo wasn't as creamy as what I was used to, but it was still really good and satisfying to my craving. Similar to most Pinkberries, the shop itself was a bit small in space, so it's more fitting for a quick visit. I ordered the dairy-free coconut, which is the only vegan flavor they offer. It tasted pretty good and had a nice creamy texture. I do find it to be expensive and I don't like how they serve it for you. You have the option to get with or without toppings for a standard price, but you're only limited to 4 toppings, and any additional topping is an upcharge. They put the toppings for you with a tiny scoop, so the price difference didn't seem worthwhile in my opinion. There was a line and multiple DoorDash orders going out, so the service was a bit slow, but not a crazy wait time. The shop was pretty small, but has the same frozen yogurt look as other places, with limited seating. Given that there is another frozen yogurt shop legit 2 stores away, I just wanted to provide a comparison. 16 Handles has more vegan options, but tastes more like soft serve ice cream compared to yogurt. It's cheaper, you can control the toppings to ice cream ratio, but it seems like there are usually kids/students around. Pinkberry only has 1 vegan option, tastes more like yogurt, but they're sparse with the toppings and it's more expensive. However, there wasn't any many kids, I assume due to the counter service rather than serving yourself the yogurt. They both provided similar experiences in terms of customer service. Both frozen yogurt shops, though entirely different experiences. I would return here if I wanted more of a yogurt flavor, but wouldn't bother with the toppings. This place, like 16 Handles, is not Ike neighboring upscale ice cream shops in UES. It's cozy, a 2010 yogurt shop vibe, and is solid for casual ice cream. I would return!
