Bad experience. Workers need to have more experience. Found a grey hair in my son's cheeseburger.

This Sonic is in Middletown. I only come here on weekends after I've had a grueling work out at Work Out World about a mile away. The two even each other out, right? RIGHT??? I usually get the double bacon cheeseburger meal (#3 I think) with fries and a drink. I pray to the fast food gods that they'll 'accidentally' drop a tater tot or two in my bag. I've never sat down outside at Sonic. I've only ever gone through the drive through, cuz I prefer to go home and shower after my workout before I devour my lunch. Out of habit, after getting my food, I pull forward and check my burger. More than once they've given me the completely wrong burger. They've done a better job the last few times I've gone. Perhaps they were working the kinks out of their system when they first opened up. I've had no issue of late, but I'm still wary of them giving me a different burger. I need my burgers to have bacon! The staff is incredibly well trained and courteous. I have been consistently surprised by how willing they are to go the extra mile without even being prompted. This is by far the nicest, most dedicated fast food staff I have ever experienced. They take their jobs seriously and treat their customers with respect. I've tried this sonic more then once and always have the same outcome. Honestly I will not be returning after my last experience with the worker named Chuck . If I could rate this place no stars I would, honestly when you think of sonic you think about a fun drive-in experience. Well with thus middletown location it was the complete opposite. I was very disappointed from the minute we drove up and received a attitude and a voice saying " What do you want?". In a nasty tone. From that moment I knew our experience was not going to be as expected. We ordered two cherry slurpees and a burger with tots. The cherry slurpees had no syrup in them it was just complete ice and it was almost impossible to even suck up through your straw. The burger was not bad but very cold also I asked for no pickles and there were pickles on it. I feel like they have a hard time following directions and are very lazy. The man who took our order and made our drinks his name was CHUCK. He not only handed us ice instead of slurpee he was extremely rude as he huffed and puffed . I advise everyone to try another sonic or choose a meal elsewhere, You will only feel Disappointed. read more

Omg I got a cheese burger with the works...so messy...so juicy...what a sloppy delicious burger. One of the best that I've had in years!!! The regular french fries were so so. Service with the girls.on the skates...pricelss. read more

Just went through the drive thru at Sonic in Middletown and I ordered Tater Tots with cheese it tasted like they were cooked in old grease the whole meal was disgusting. The kids meals were missing toys, their fries were salty as hell $23 for what? read more

Actually I'm not surprised that this place has like a one star rating. I work in an upscale restaurant and I know that's not what I'm getting when I come here but the bare minimum of service is at least one smile at least one thank you or at least one have a good day like you seriously can't just be handing people shit with a fucking attitude I can't that's so annoying. If you are planning to split your meal between a card and cash, or even two cards, do not. We asked if we could through the drive thru and they said only if we parked and ordered from there. So when we did that, they made us hop out of the car and order from the car hop spot next to us so we could both pay for our own meal. read more

Worst sonic ever! Fries are freezing! Slushes are all ice no flavoring also they have the longest lines possible! Never to return again

Went here a few times and was no a happy person. Everytime I take it home because I go through the drive thru the food is cold. The fries are always looking like they were not cooked enough. The prices are not cheap. There is never an adult working there, there is always kids working there. I will not go back again. This place is a waste of my time. read more

THE worst milkshakes we ever had. Chocolate, vanilla, and banana. Went there after 8:00 PM to get 1/2 price milkshakes. NEVER again!

When Sonics first opened in 2013, the service was great. Now the service is deplorable. The last few times I went there, the service was slow. Today, I decided to go there for lunch. It has been several weeks since I last went to Sonics. From the intersection, I saw there was only one car in the drive thru. I proceeded to the drive thru. The staff was taking very long getting that one vehicle's order together. My car started to overheat from the idling. I ended up leaving and driving across the highway to Wendy's. The drive thru was crowded and I didn't want my car to overheat. So I went in and was served promptly, correctly and courteously. I will never go to Sonics again. read more

I'm a big sonic fan but this is a big disappointment. The food is barely good except for their shakes and sodas. I also have a personal connection within this sonic. Which is absolutely horrible to watch a best friend go through. While everyone doesn't show up, my friend gets called constantly in to work a double shift or the entire shift the person was supposed to work. Then proceeds to get yelled at by the stores owner that my friend takes too much overtime. The co owner then proceeds to constantly bash them for taking off of work to weekends in a row because they have family issues to take care of. They almost closed down due to a health inspection that they barely passed. This sonic is absolutely horrible and after the things I've heard about the workers, managers, and just tasting the food, I will never go here again. I will probably take my money and go somewhere else where the food is better and better customer service. read more

This place is terrible. My friends and I got fool proof meals, pop-corn chicken and tots. We waited a good 25 min and once we got our food it was cold, frozen in fact. I paid with cash and had about seven dollars of change that was supposed to come back to me, but the server took my money and turned around to go back into the main hub. I guess he thought delivering frozen food by foot (not roller scatting) was some serious ordeal. This sonic is absolutely terrible with the food and service to match. Never again. Now the employees might say I guess you shouldn't eat shit food, but I guess the managers/owners shouldn't hire shit employees. read more

I've gone here for lunch/dinner sometimes as it's very close to my place of work, but I will never go here again. Not only is the food awful in quality, but the workers are slow and lackadaisical. The last time I got chicken fingers from there, I found a hair in between the last two pieces after I already ate one. My disgust forced me to throw up and I threw out the rest of my food. What a waste of money. I've never been back since. Spare yourself and go some place else. read more
