The ambiance is often crowded, but not too noisy. The diner is well managed. Waitstaff experience widely varies from competent to inexperienced. What's disturbing is when waitstaff projects an attitude, argumentative and naive. I ordered French onion soup, sandwich with side of tzatziki sauce with the one request to have everything at the same time. Everything was brought out separately, and I was offered more "sauce" and brought au jus with beef drippings and told it was the same thing. Thankfully management is present, they corrected deficiencies quickly and were hospitable.

My 2 star review being changed to 3 star. Good is good but not amazing. Quick service but you don't feel pressured to leave.

This is an amazing diner. I have come here a few times now, and it never fails. The food is always delicious. My favorite item is the Boom Boom Burger. It's just so juicy and flavorful. The bacon, mushrooms, onions, and that boom boom sauce, all just blend together so well. I love it. Its the perfect burger here. I have also tried their omelets and paninis. Everything is just outstanding here. Plus the service and staff are amazing. Definitely try a burger out when you come here. Highly recommended.

The service was superb! Staff was friendly and helpful. Not fancy but well lit and clean. The food was good and I could not resist getting dessert to take home. I would definitely return if in the area again!

The front desk staff was professional and courteous. One young man was clearly in training, and the young woman guiding him was extremely knowledgeable and polite which to me was a great example of mentorship done right. Unfortunately, our original room had a heater that was rattling loudly and had pooled water on top of it, which I recorded and showed to the front desk. To their credit, maintenance responded quickly, and the technician was friendly, professional, and even helped move my luggage. He brought us keys to a new room, and the front desk upgraded us to the North Suite, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture. The North Suite was fantastic with a large space with a massive balcony and beautiful views, along with a comfortable seating area outside. Sadly, due to the season, it was too cold to enjoy the balcony, but we appreciated the feature. That said, the suite wasn't perfect: The shower area was oddly dark, with little lighting. There was no air vent in the bathroom, which seemed unusual. The sink was smaller than the one in the standard suite. Neither of the two TVs worked, though I didn't want to complain during the stay and just mentioned it at checkout. The bathroom door didn't latch, which was a minor but noticeable issue. The smoke detector is missing from the ceiling, which gave me pause. Despite those flaws, the service and staff stood out. I witnessed two bar employees being rudely berated by guests over late food (which obviously wasn't their fault), and they handled the situation with professionalism and calm. I was so impressed by their professionalism under pressure (and so thoroughly disgusted by that table of senior citizens who should know better than to act that way) that I tipped each of them $50 each on top of our drink tab to make up for how poorly they were treated. Speaking of which, the bar area is a wonderful little spot, with friendly staff and the occasional live music, making it a fun place to unwind without leaving the hotel. The cocktails are excellent as well. This hotel has long been our go-to when in town, and while there were a few issues this time, the staff's attentiveness and care truly made the experience special. We're already looking forward to our return in 2026. TIP: Be mindful of where you park! The handicap parking is limited, and one of the spaces is under a tree that's heavily populated with birds. Our car was completely covered in bird droppings. I mean absolutely covered. Avoid that spot if you can.

I have to admit the North Suite has the most amazing sunrises and sunsets. The room service is…read morealways good. Note, their parking is limited and currently there is a construction site across the way, so if they have and event going on you may be SOOL. Plan accordingly.

Turning Point in Holmdel was hands down the perfect choice for breakfast. We lucked out with a…read morebeautiful morning, so we grabbed a table on the outdoor patio and enjoyed the sunshine. We arrived early and had no problem finding a seat, but this place gets busy fast. If you're planning a later visit, I definitely recommend joining the waitlist ahead of time. Turning Point has earned a loyal following throughout New Jersey for its fresh, made-from-scratch breakfast and brunch menu, quality ingredients, and excellent coffee selection. It's easy to see why it's become a favorite destination for breakfast lovers. We kicked off our meal with mimosas (yes, it's BYOB, so bring your favorite bottle of champagne!). As a coffee fanatic, I couldn't pass up their Hawaiian Kona Blend French Press coffee. Ever since my first trip to Hawaii, Kona has been my favorite coffee, and Turning Point does it right. Each pot is ground to order, brewed with purified water, and brought to your table to finish steeping. When you're ready, you slowly press the stainless steel filter, releasing the rich flavors, aromatic oils, and smooth crema. Every sip is bold, incredibly smooth, and packed with flavor. If you're a coffee lover, this is an absolute must. For breakfast, we ordered: Breakfast Combo - Two slices of thick-cut French toast, two eggs over easy, and a side of their refreshing citrus-dressed mixed greens. The French toast was light, fluffy, and perfectly golden, making for a classic breakfast done exceptionally well. Nantucket Benedict - A toasted English muffin topped with generous chunks of cracked lobster, plum potatoes, thick-cut smoked bacon, fresh avocado slices, and finished with a bright lemon-cilantro hollandaise sauce. It was an incredible combination of flavors that balanced richness with freshness in every bite. Everything that came to the table was absolutely mouthwatering. Honestly, the photos don't do these dishes justice--you have to experience them for yourself. A special shoutout to our server, Adam, who was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and constantly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. From the delicious food and exceptional coffee to the outstanding service and relaxing outdoor seating, Turning Point in Holmdel delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. If you're looking for one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in the area, this one should absolutely be on your list.

The weather was gorgeous so we were able to sit outside, and luckily we got seated right away even without a reservation. My husband and I usually go the route of splitting the breakfast combo, so we get a sweet and savory item (and the bill is lower than if we each got our own entrees). We got the breakfast combo and just added a side of sourdough toast and avocado. Only $2 charge for the avocado side which was nice! Everything was decent, but I've definitely had better brunch in the area, which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5.
