I came here with my cousin for brunch and we were not satisfied. The food was just average, the waiter was not attentive. My cousin received her food the chorizo skillet and she sent it back due to the fact that they had raw onions and peppers on it.We have been to other diners in the area and the onions and peppers were nicely sautéed and seasoned. This skillet was not the one!! I got the pancake with Canadian bacon and it was a safe meal!! The lady at the pay station was very nice, and appreciated our feedback!! I've always heard that New Jersey is the home of diners, so we decided to check out Park Place Diner, and it fit that classic diner reputation very well. When we arrived, we met the owner, and she was very kind and welcoming. She came around to check on us during the meal, which added a nice personal touch. The portions here are huge. I ordered the Asian chicken salad, and even after eating a good amount, I still had half left to take home. Someone else in our group had the Jack Daniels burger, and others ordered hero sandwiches. Everything looked good, and it seemed like everyone at the table enjoyed their food. Service was pretty good overall, and the desserts and cakes in the display case looked excellent like the kind of place that's been around for a long time and takes pride in its baking. All in all, large portions, friendly ownership, and a solid diner experience. I'm giving Park Place Diner 4 stars. read more

This place is often packed, both in customers and also nostalgia for those craving an old-fashioned diner experience. I visited for Sunday brunch in a party of four, and we were still seated quickly despite its popularity. Service was great; our waiter frequently checked in on us, and we received the food shortly after ordering. Most of our dishes were excellent, and I personally really enjoyed my breakfast platter. The only hiccup was that the bread itself for the Avocado Toast was burnt, but we were able to get it substituted without any issues. There's a 3.5% surcharge for credit cards, so do keep that in mind if you happen to have cash ready. The restaurant itself also lies on the side of an intersection, so parking can be tricky to navigate if you're coming at a busy time. Park Place Diner is one of the few remaining local diners of yesteryear. It still has the charm of many late 90's and early 2000's diners where they serve everything from breakfast, burgers, and seafood. Staff has alway provided excellent service and food is served super fast. I think our server was Alan and he's always on top of providing refills whenever he sees we're low. Whenever I want a solid burger and gries with pickles and coleslaw, Park Place diner does it the best hands down. Their burger patties are cooked on an actual grill where you can taste the char. It feels and tastes like summer. I've tried other diners that have fancy modern upgrades and they simply don't compare. read more

We have been patrons for close to 20 years, we were there during Covid when they had the tent set up in the parking lot to support them .We just had the worst breakfast ever! We ordered the steak skillet and the meat lovers skillet. They were horrendous ! The "steak " had no steak just ham, undercooked peppers and potatoes that were not sliced and diced properly. The same for the ML, a slice of American cheese instead of cheddar and skimpy portions of meat to boot. Also we asked for a small OJ and got a shot glass of orange juice. We have noticed the diner going downhill in the past year, but this was the worst! Went for a late night dinner on Sunday (8:30pm). The parking lot was empty I thought it was closed but it doesn't close till 11pm. Clean and bright interior with lots of marble and stainless steel like most New Jersey diners. Maybe 6 customers, there were more employees then customers in the restaurant, I sat at the empty counter. Needless to say the service was superb. Menu, water and my Arnold Palmer were there in a blink of an eye. I ordered the chili to start it takes a little while to come out with cheese melted on top and a generous amount of tortilla chips. When I dig in it was very flavorful and not to spicy, but just barely warm enough. My next course I ordered the jersey burger which came with pork roll and egg. I asked for the egg to be over hard instead of over easy and switched the American cheese for cheddar cheese. He asked how I would like it cooked I said medium rare. I was just finishing the chili and the burger came out. Large patty, large bun, lettuce, tomato, small cup of coleslaw and a pickle. Burger patty was thin so tough to cook medium rare so why ask, it was well done dry and flavorless. Now for the Arnold Palmer refill which is iced tea and lemonade, mixed together. They ran out of ice tea, so I said just give me lemonade. He said they have to charge me for another drink, even though lemonade and iced tea are free refills but when you mix them together, somehow that becomes not a free refill. I confronted the waiter and he said it was restaurant policy. Stupid policy I won't be back! Lots of quantity but lacks quality, now I know why the parking lot was empty. This used to be my go to place back in the day after the bars closed it was open 24 hours and would eat your breakfast because you wouldn't get up until noon the next day. The food was very good. Service was a bit slow and it's a bit pricey. We had the stuffed mushrooms, which I've never had mushrooms overstuffed with crabmeat. They were delicious. The chicken noodle soup was good and so was New England clam chowder, whole clams, which we've never seen before. I had the stuffed filet, which was sole stuffed with crab imperial. Two filets, I was only able to eat one. Also had carrots, which were fresh and tater tots. BF had pork medallions in fig Marsala sauce, came with a potato croquette. He enjoyed. This diner has been around for some time, undergoing a renovation some years back and I'm surprised I never reviewed it. Stopped in for breakfast. It was crowded, but had a table without a wait. Ordered coffee, which always seems good in any diner. Ordered the Supreme Omelette, filled with meats, veggies and potatoes. I took the side of pancakes. Needless to say it was a full plate, delicious and filling. The waitress was busy, but remained attentive and refilled my coffee as needed. A plus was the bill offered a small discount for cash to save them on processing fees. I paid the cash. Definitely a place for any meal. This place was so wonderful for our after-funeral family luncheon. They made accommodations with 24 hours notice, providing us with a special menu to choose from with 50+ people coming from out of town. We arrived a bit earlier than we originally told them, and they were in the middle of their Sunday morning rush. The owner figured everything out within 5 minutes, had tables cleared and cleaned for everyone, and we were all seated close together in a crowded and busy dining room. Alexis was our waitress and did such a lovely job taking care of our drinks, appetizers, etc. She was efficient, friendly, and helpful the entire time. The food came fast and was delicious. We were not charged for soda or dessert, and the owner gave us a platter of hot food to go as well. We cannot say enough nice things about this diner and the people who run it and work there. My husband waited for him inside and the first thing that hit us was the foul smell of the waiting area - before you actually go inside the diner. The floor was sticky and it smells foul, like old sweat. This needs to be ventilated, vacuumed or steamed. And they can invest in some air fresheners. So many options to choose from, big comfy booths you can sink into and have your coffee continuously topped off as you sit by the window and watch the world go by. My hot roast beef on sourdough sandwich had grill marks of proper pressure, allowing the American cheese to melt over the garden fresh tomatoes. I plucked up the self control to save the pups a adequate nibble for their participation. The fish and chips was a steal at $9.95 as the deep fry must have just undergone an oil change. So crisp was the out and so moist was the in, so darn good and I'm not feeling guilty as fried foods was a 2020 avoidance resolution -- so I'll just push that one off for another eleven months.. read more

The menu is tremendous, quite a variety of items to choose from....very typical NJ Diner. Turkey Club on Rye and Disco Fries to Share. Both dishes came out quick and they were well above par although the Turkey was on the dry side....at least it was real Turkey. Soda's were great, too many times Restaurants use the least expensive soda mix and it shows.....High Quality Soda Pop! This diner has cocktails available and I noticed many folks having a "beverage" with their meals. I did notice several delicious looking meals infiltrating the diner, BBQ Chicken, Stuffed Cabbage.... When they say late night bites, they mean it. Maybe I've been spoiled in college towns open late, but when it's 9pm on a Sunday, everything's closed in Central NJ, and you don't know what you want - it's diner time, baby! Breakfast at 10 am or 10 pm? You got it! I ordered the Belgian waffle with strawberries and cream, which came out golden crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. Maybe the 3rd best waffle I'd ever had, or maybe I was just that interested in it. Waitress was very nice and coincidentally gave the very photogenic whipped cream topping at the table. My companion ordered the Irish Eggs Benedict that came with corned beef in place of the usual ham. It's a good combo, although I'm not a fan of the texture of the Hollandaise. Ordered food here for my family, When I called to place the order I had to repeat my self 10 times of what we wanted. i should have known the food was going to be terrible and wrong. I get home the food wasn't correct and or burnt. My kids wouldn't eat the food. Wasted $80 on DINER food for it to be terrible and service to be terrible. I call back and spoke to a manger who states that she's very sorry and i can come back and get new food on them. I went back 2 days later ordered again to have to then repeat myself 10 mores times.
