She put I'd ordered a plain burger for my kid's meal and yet accused me of me being wrong and then refusing us service.
    Karen B.

I generally love Sonic and my family was thrilled to see this one as we were traveling home to Arizona. Unfortunately, this was far the worst service I have ever received ANYWHERE. Not only did we wait close to 30 minutes in the drive thru (the only way to order as they weren't taking orders to bring out due to understaffing and no notice), but my order was wrong. When I asked the woman at the counter to please correct it, she told me to pull out of line and they'd get to me when they could. I told her no thank you, I would wait where I was. Her manager (I'm assuming) came out and told me to leave, that they wouldn't be serving me because I was rude. She said they would be refunding my items that they weren't giving me, but that has yet to happen. Justine - the manager who told me to leave - told me that when she read the order back to me, I said everything was correct, so any errors were my fault, not her's. She was actually the person on the speaker, taking the orders. I ordered a kid's meal with a plain burger and received a burger with everything on it. On my receipt, it says burger plain. On top of that, the food we did receive wasn't hot or fresh. Mostly cold and we ended up having to get food later down the road because this was inedible and my 8 year old didn't get her food at all. Very, very disappointed in this restaurant. Highly recommend you go anywhere else in North Platte.

Tater tots fried in old or burnt oil

Yes we had to wait a little bit for our food....had 4-5 cars infront of us and 2 drove off without their order but when we got to the window, the lady was very friendly & didn't show any frustration. Give people a break, times are hard right now in the world between the economy going to crap and so many people not working right now. The only negative thing I will say is that they need to change their cooking oil. Our tater tots were dark and so were our fries and they tasted like burnt oil :( Everything else was great

Every time I've been to sonic I've waited 15 minutes or more to be served regardless of drive in or drive through. Horrible service

Horrible service. Been to sonic 3 times in a week and each time it took well over 15 minutes to get my food at the drive through

6+ Car line for a pickup order?
    Skyler S.

Huge fan of sonic in general, but the fact that you can not use the drive in ordering machines to get a pick up order off of the app is ridiculous. I just waited 10+ minutes for a cold burger because, "they can't run it out." Not only that, 4 cars behind me all left because the menu on the app is not even accurate. I ordered the bacon jam cheeseburger and they don't even have bacon jam. This was the absolute worst "fast" food experience i have ever had. Needless to say but don't use the sonic app to order your food unless you know no ones in the drive thru or your food might as well be thrown away and replaced with food from somewhere that can get your order out in 5 mins tops. not 25.

    Cherry flavored strawberry slush. Weird?

This sonic takes 1st prize for being the worst sonic in existence. The service was slow and the employees seemed rude and offbeat. Both of the times I visited, the drive-in stalls weren't being used for their proper use (or at all) and took up to fifteen minutes to get a reply. While just passing through NP I was hoping to get a quick treat, so I picked up my phone and put in an order. Upon arrival, my order should have been ready to go, but to my surprise it was not. I waited ten minutes before pressing the red button to question my order. When I finally got a reply, I was NOT happy. They have the audacity to tell me that they aren't using the stalls and that I would have to pull around to the menu. Thirty minutes and no apology later, I have a slushy in hand. Everybody deserves a second chance and I was craving a strawberry slushy. I placed my order online to ensure a speedy transaction. When I arrived I saw some employees outside and knew for certain I could use the stalls...(or so I thought). I pulled all the way around to the west side stalls (which apparently are used for employee parking). I pushed the red button right away to make sure my first incident didn't happen again. I guess the button doesn't matter because I sat and waited for fifteen minutes before a reply told me to pull to the east side of the building. Normally I'd drive off, but I had already paid for my order via. Sonic App. Now in a east side stall, I sat and waited another whopping ten minutes as the flashing red light mocked me. Moments later I was met face to face to be sadly informed that they were out of strawberry. At this moment, there was nothing I could do but wait. As I waited I notice multiple other orders being taken out instead of them going back and fixing mine right away. Forty-five minutes later I left with no coupons, no apology, and a different flavored slushy then I even wanted. Some type of action needs to take place because this sonic is a disgrace to the name. A change of management and a visit from corporate would probably be a good starting point. My recommendation to anybody wanting to stop here would be "don't".

I have never received something in the drive-through that was half melted when they handed it to me.

Alas- it was one of the worst eating experiences on our 2 week road trip. Biggest problem- only one server for the entire place and she had to do it all except for actually running the grill. She did try, but could not keep up with a full house on a Friday night for dinner. Took her 10 minutes just to bring menus, and at least a half hour to get food to us. When food was brought out we had an item missing- a shake that was never made or brought to the table even 45 minutes after ordering it. The Philly cheese steak was cold and had clearly been made and stood for some time before being brought out. The BLT was cold, as was the chilli. The chicken on the chicken salad had also clearly sat for quite a while before being delivered to the table. Another big problem was cleanliness. The floor was dirty. The room had flies buzzing around. At one point the server dropped a tray of coffee mugs and clearly broke several. She didn't sweep them up. A few minutes later, a busser came out from the back and kicked a broken piece of cup along the floor. He just left it there rather than picking it up. It was still there in the middle of the floor when we left. They did remove the shake that never came and the 2 items that were cold and not eaten from the bill. I think the server was doing her best but only so much one person can do.

We waited 20 minutes to be seated and ordered within 10 minutes. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer (thank goodness we did) -- they were fine but the chips were kind of soggy and all the meat was at the bottom of the pile. It took a while for us to receive them. Definitely something I could've made better at home but good enough. We ordered our entrees at the same time we ordered the appetizers. It took over an hour before our waitress came and asked if we'd received our food yet, and she rarely checked on us before then. Tables that had been seated at least half an hour after us received their food before we did. She told us there was a weird glitch in the system which is why we hadn't received our food, but she wasn't apologetic and didn't do anything to try and make it right. Still charged us full price for everything, not even comping a fountain drink which I had to ask her to fill every time she came by rather than her seeing our drinks were low or empty and taking initiative (like a decent server should). When our food finally came out, it didn't come together. My dish (buffalo mac) came out first and we still waited another 5 minutes for my husband to get his wings. The food was okay. Like the nachos, I feel I could've made something better myself. Definitely not worth waiting an hour and a half for and not worth the $50 we spent. Don't get me wrong-- I understand when an establishment is short-staffed or if it's a busy night (I know a Saturday night will look different than a weeknight), but this was honestly ridiculous. Though it may have been busy, the staff didn't act it. It seems they are not well-trained. I'm also disappointed that our waitress made no effort to improve or redeem our experience. Like one of the other reviews said, it seems they have a good location with a lot of potential, but I would not waste another minute here.

First off my server, Crystal, was great. She was super helpful, very personable, not overbearing - just excellent. I ordered a 10 inch pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and a side of fries. The fries were crinkle cut fries. They don't come salted, which is fine because she told me they didn't and I just added salt myself. There was nothing special about them. They were just crinkle cut fries. The pizza was a hand tossed crust, clearly not frozen or a shell which is delightful. Cheese was good pepperoni was a little crispy, which I really like, but you don't really get a lot and the jalapeños were crispy and zippy. The overall taste was good. The sauce was a little nondescript, but on the whole I thought it was really good. I would definitely get it again if I'm in North Platte. As far as ambience goes, a casual dining spot with a bar. A choice I regret now. First of all, our server was great and friendly. The restaurant seems nice...The food is pretty pricey. We were planning on eating at several pizza places on this trip so I skipped the pizza on the menu, especially since they run $17 for a small 10in. Instead I ordered a shrimp basket. For $16 I got 6 miniature fried shrimp. Smaller than my thumb, and I have small hands. I've seen kids meals with more food. I finished my shrimp in less than 2 minutes. My basket also came with crinkle cut fries which were just as disappointing as all crinkle cut fries are. Other than the friendly service the only thing that saved this restaurant from getting less than 3 stars was my mom's Huge bowl of clam chowder and salad for $10. The red velvet cake for about $7 was good too. Overall though I wish we had picked a different restaurant as I still left hungry.

We walked in and there are two large rooms, one dining and one bar/dining area. There is a small bar at the far end that sits around 6 or seven people. We were sat near the window and our server was Penny who was excellent. Penny constantly checked in with us and we were never left wait for service. When it came to ordering wine/cocktails, we were immediately put off by the price of wine. The bottles have an approximate 75% mark up on retail. Way overpriced. You don't see these prices even in the most expensive of steakhouses in my opinion. A glass of wine was the price of a bottle at retail. We elected to go with cocktails. For appetizers, we ordered the Wild Mushroom Brie & Ciabatta. $19 Seared Brie Cheese, brandy glazed belle mushrooms, balsamic reduction, fig chutney; served with Ciabatta toast points. This was good. Cowboy Calamari. $19 Breaded Flat iron sirloin steak bites, fried; served with gravy. I was so looking forward to these but I couldn't even taste the meat.....at all! They were so overly breaded and the steak cut so thin that we felt we were just eating the breading. The gravy was tasty but we couldn't finish the steak bites as we just didn't taste any steak. We split a Cedar Room Wedge. $16 Iceberg, bacon bits, tomatoes, cucumbers, blue cheese crumbles; served with dressing of choice. They split it on two plates and basically did a deconstructed salad. It was fine. After not having a great experience with the food and prices of their wine, we elected to leave and skip the dinner. Although we loved our server Penny and it was a cute establishment, we probably would not return.
