After waiting at least 20 (TWENTY) minutes...... (generously giving them benefit of the doubt with this amount of time, it was pushing 30), we left with nothing. The time is now 2:12 and left after the manager(?) claimed a happy hour drink, alone, at 50% off is $11....now being understanding that the young lady was in training who was taking the orders, have not yet felt like disregarded guests or anything of that nature; the wait time wasn't the worst part of that experience. It's wasting 30 minutes for 2 (TWO) D R I N K S...after being extremely patient DESPITE the absurd wait time for 2 items that require quite literally pushing a button to create, the manager or whoever on duty 5/4/26 (posting around 2:20pm after leaving off put by the customer service and empty handed) Wait times happen, People are in training. That is understandable. What isn't is the "upper" management attempting to say one limeade slush is $11 during happy hour......it's not that serious but it is, do better. Stop playing with people's time and money, her dishonestly and apparent ignorance to her job was extremely off putting and this particular business will not receive another dollar from me or my family alike. You should probably practice knowing your prices, customer service and time management if you expect people to hand you money for your job....the experience I just had let me know there is clearly a disconnect between whoever was the "upper management" today and the care they seemingly have to not only avoid wasting customer's time, but also being knowledgeable/honest about pricing.....there is not a single $11 limeade during 50% off happy hour that she could show me so now instead of just "oh they had a bad day" it's moved onto "you're liars and not getting my money" because how difficult would it have been to just be logical in that moment and realize AS MANAGER training a new employee is not an excuse to lie about prices or try to rush people off because YOUR LINE TOOK 20 MINUTES and we are not the only customers who had to leave empty handed. Really bad food. I got the 'crispy' chicken sandwich. It's nowhere near as breaded as the pic. The very thin layer of breading was flavorless and soggy. The meat itself was greyish in areas and had a metallic, salty flavor. The wisp of lettuce was very wilted and brown in spots. The fries were barely lukewarm and in one big, gross, nasty clump. I cannot believe they would serve just a massive clump but they did. And I didn't get a receipt so I can't ask for a refund. Everything just tasted of salt and chemicals. We got helped quickly, however, our order was wrong. Our burgers were missing everything they were supposed to have on it. We both ordered bacon cheeseburgers. I ordered the new one that is being advertised right now, a smash burger with bacon, and all the fixings. It came with nothing on it except pickles. I pressed the drive in button again and told the worker our order was wrong and he came out. Instead of remaking the burger and our order he just brought out what was missing. Our burgers were cold at that point. I was angry eating it and so was my husband. I paid for dipping sauce that I also didn't get. .50 cents for sauce isn't a lot but if you think about it, if they forgot sauce paid for 10 times that adds up. Extra money for the company for what??? Crappy food and orders that seem so simple being wrong ...? We used to love coming to this location. Now I'm not coming back. We came to get food from this location because neither of us wanted to cook. Now thinking back, we should have just stayed home and cooked. At least we wouldn't have had our food come out wrong. On August 18 th I had a Drs appt but needed something to eat before my appointment, the wife and I decided to try Sonics Hot Dogs! We ordered three all Americans, a water and milkshake! Around $19 total! Halfway into my "cold" hot dog, I began choking on something mid bite! I coughed up a blue bread lip ( see picture) we took it to the manager who informed us they would give us a refund for the meal! They said it would take 7-10 days it has now been 11 days and no refund! Calling the store is futile as nobody answers the phone! My advise? Stay away from this restaurant! This is by far the worst Sonic location I've ever been to. I get 1 hour for lunch and I've waited 45minutes - 1hr after already paying for my food, MANY times. The same problems that never change, the same attitude from employees every time you dare ask where they're at along the way with making your food, I've even put in an online order and waited 20 minutes before driving over to pick it up AND STILL wait another 30 minutes at the stall. And to answer your next question, couldn't do the drive-thru because you don't have apple pay at the window! Ordered 5 sodas. Waited 30 minutes, received water down drinks with a third ice remaining. Turned around and asked if they could remake them and sorry for the inconvenience. Then was argued with instead of just saying, sure sorry about that no problem, we are a bit behind. After he was done arguing his point, we were asked to pull around, where we waited an additional 25 minutes before we went inside to remind them we were waiting for our remakes. On Easter Sunday, 7:30pm, I came to this location to pick up a Doordash order for a customer (Marissa E.). The inst from Sonic stated to go to a stall. I pushed the red button waited at that stall for over 10 minutes, and even changed stalls and tried again. A young guy with dark hair and brown tone skin looked at me from the door and said nothing. I went to the door and said this is a Doordash order. He acted unprofessionally (my passenger also observed) by swinging his arm and said "drive thru." I went to the drive thru speaker and said Doordash and name of customer. He said "ah-riight." Do to their lack of professionalism and laziness.Our customer had to wait an extra twenty minutes plus I lost money by having to sit idly for all that time. So they didnt allow me to order at the outside parking spots and directed me to the drive thru where I waited way longer than you should.... Maybe they were on break.... Window was filthy through which they pass your food and an overall unsanitary location.... DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Pulled up to the drive through, waited for 5 minutes and nobody greeted us. Thought maybe the drive through is closed. There was nobody behind us in line so we decided back up and pull into one of the stalls instead. Pressed the red service button and waited for another 10 minutes without anyone taking our order. Stopped at the Sonic by Haggen grocery in Olympia is horrible. We ordered a Jr. burger and 2 shakes and after waiting over 20 minutes our order was still not out to the car. Pushed the red button and when finally acknowledged enquired about our order and was told he was trying to get someone to bring it out! We were literally the only car there so they were not busy at all. 5 minutes later we got a watered down shake and a burger with so much mustard on it that it was practically inedible. Is this because we didn't leave a tip on the order when charged to our card? Tips are not automatic, you get them for excellent service. Obviously the cash tip we had for our server/order deliverer did not go to that young lady. This was our first and last visit to Sonic. Food was terrible and service was unbelievably bad. read more

If I could give it 3.5 I would Customer service was absolutely amazing! So nice :). I needed protein after my workout. PUMP. Haha. The only reason I sick stars is the wait was very long. My legs started cramping so I had to sit on the windshield to stretch my legs which was cold. I'm from Alaska, so I'm not normally cold. However tonight it was unusually chilly. After I waited for for my food behind an extremely large truck/ suv, possibly a Suburban XL (black, rims, tented windows). I think it was a relatively larger family. The standard was set so high skin the state capital of Olympia!!!! I normally tell the ol' lady to get Menchie's, however she recommended Somics after we went tooo hardhardcore at our extreme pump at our local gym. So Menchies closed :(((. Sonic's changed out whole night and it was more than appreciated to know that I can come here and be accepted. Regardless of my background or if I decide to have a cheat day and eat terrible food. The food was good, but it's awful for our health. But tonight we made an exception.... Usually we choose healthy foods and food without chemicals and trans fats, saturated fats and moniunsaturated, polyunsaturated fat etc... See, we've have a farm that we keep all organic food and try to stay free of toxins. Praise God, that we were in the right place at the right time when we bought our farm.
