    Strawberry Nuoc Mia (Sugarcane Juice)
    Geo N.

This spot is a bit far from me so it's always a treat when we get it. My parents picked some drinks and desserts up from here the other day and sadly it's not what I remember it being. Drinks: (3/5) I've always loved getting the strawberry nuoc mia (sugarcane juice), but I think they may have changed something about it since the last time I got it. It's much larger (the cup is HUGE), which is typically a good thing but I felt like it was just toooo much. Hard to finish before it isn't fresh anymore. It also had a ton of chunks which weren't to most pleasant. The strawberry flavor wasn't really there either. I'm hoping to either give this drink another try or to get something different next time, because everything else does look really good.

Deli Setup - Grab and Go Vietnamese / South East Asian Dessert and Snack Paradise. They have sweet and savory snacks. It does seem a little steep for a sweet treat but given how well prepared all the condiments are inside and how many combinations they have on their menu, it's worth it on occasion. Beans in a sweet dessert is something common in Asia but definitely an acquired taste regardless. Theres plenty of variety you are sure to find something that piques your interest. Malaysian Dessert 4/5 - Theres just about every texture in this dessert. Super refreshing and the durian topping was good. Not too sweet. I'd be here every week for a sweet treat if I was nearby.

It's a small local family dessert shop- all Vietnamese dessert che one stop shop. Easy to order as some they have pictures and details of ingredients. I had Seattle dessert first time today and I really enjoyed it. I like basic and not too sweet dessert and I finished it within like 15-20 mins. The only place in Seattle, entire state of WA that has a wide range of che dessert and it's the best. It's that good!

I would say this is definitely a hidden gem for a sweet treat! I tried the halo halo and smashed young coconut and they were so good! The ube flavor is strong in the halo halo and the ice cream on top is super flavorful. The drink had plenty of toppings but not too much that I couldn't drink anything. The drink itself is quite sweet but I just loved the ube flavor. The flan on top was also a stand out topping and was so good. The smashed young coconut was refreshing and had a strong coconut flavor. I really liked the jellies inside and it's great for coconut lovers! Overall this place has strong flavors and authentic Vietnamese desserts! The store itself also offers a variety of other Vietnamese snacks. However I do have to point out this time we had to wait almost over 30 minutes for our four drinks :( Last time my friend said it was only about 10-15 minutes wait, which is more typical.

The Seattle Special surprised me with a cute labubu on top. I came fifteen minutes before closing and there were still many customers. It makes sense because their chè was sweet and loaded with toppings, with various combinations to choose from.

Really huge and cool menu! I got a lychee tea and it was delicious. The service was very efficient. The ambiance is a very popular take out only spot with candy all over. I definitely want to come back and try more treats.

Had my eye on this place for awhile now so I jumped at the opportunity to stop by on my way to comic con. The shop was empty and after couple mins looking at the menu, I ordered the Soda mix - mango & jelly. Took 10+mins to make my mango jelly soda mix drink and crazy part is I'm the first customer before the rush. The drink consists of sparkling water, and mango jelly... I was hoping some of the mango jelly syrup in the drink for flavor. But to my surprise it's was just sparkling water and mango jelly... for $6, had to be a joke. Still plan to come back and try the rest of the menu. Overall, not a good first visit. They have a big menu and a bunch of treats around their store.

Everyone in the car had to try this version of Che Thai... Not 1 person enjoyed it. A wasted $9.00. ‍

I ordered Che Thai.... It was horrible! Being part Thai- I have never had sour mangos or strawberries or cantaloupe or honeydew or durian or pineapples in my Che Thai. Their menu looked delicious and I truly had high hopes for this place.

i love che dessert but it's such a trek that i rarely get to come here!!! soooo many menu options that i stood there for about 20 minutes trying to decide. durian smoothie was so bomb -- super smooth and creamy, with extra frozen durian on top. $9 for this big cup which i think is pretty good. i also got a grass jelly/basil seed che to go, and they can give you a small ziploc with crushed ice. def a local staple that i don't go to enough!

I went in on a Sunday - it was busy and a wait but that's how it is for a che dessert place when it involves multiple ingredients per dessert. The owner is so friendly and knows how to serve the people. Now the dessert, amazing. It is THE perfect sweetness (for what we ordered).I loved all the inclusions in my dessert and believe there is a slight durian ingredient in there, normally not a big fan of durian but it was mixed with a jelly of some sort I think (there's a lot of things going on in it since it's che) but it wasn't overpowering. The avocado used was so fresh on top and not mushy. There is a bean mixed with the avocado drink & it was nicely blended. I see why it can have some bit of mix reviews because they offer such a variety of things here. But I just appreciate that it's made to the perfect sweetness level here. Will definitely come back. It's a smaller space here as well, so grab and go. Since it's in the plaza the parking is a hit or miss because the parking is hectic, especially on weekends.

I came here after hearing recommendation of this place. Decided to stop by before heading to my appointment. The lady here was so nice and kind. I got different types of Che like Che Bap, Che Khoai Mon and asked for the coconut to be left on the side. The sugarcane drink was refreshing, reasonable and good. It was only $5 a cup. Super cheap than other places, and they didn't drenched it with tons of ice either whereas other places you pay for ice at the premium price. It's a really small cafe with a lot of varieties of things that's consider "do an vat." I would come back to this place again to try other stuff.

This is the one place I go to for che, their drinks are always the best and are my absolute favorite! They open daily, and parking around the area it's located in - King Plaza - is extremely tight and dicey. I'd recommend street parking and walking over here instead. There's a ton of Vietnamese snacks when you get inside, and the menu is just opposite the cash register when you walk in. There's no seating inside so everything is purely takeout. The place offers Vietnamese street food, coffee, smoothies, and their famous che desserts. Whenever I go here, I love getting their three beans dessert, rainbow dessert and their Seattle special. I recommend all three of these, though the drinks are huge and you can easily get full off of just one of them. For the drinks, you can request the ice be packed separately from them or be inside the cups when you get them. For this review I got the Seattle special, and it's delicious as always! Everything blends in very well, and the portion is huge. This is one of the spots I go to almost weekly, and they do their che desserts right and consistently! Highly recommended for both locals and people visiting Seattle!

I visited Che Dessert for the first time yesterday after my favorite spot next door was closed for Lunar New Year. Since it was the only place open, it was extremely busy and a bit hectic inside. At first, I stood in the line area, assuming that's where orders were placed, but a kind couple directed me to the actual ordering spot--there were no signs indicating where to order, which made it a bit confusing. The atmosphere was festive, with lanterns and vibrant red decorations everywhere. Nearly every customer was dressed in red, celebrating the holiday. I ordered the smashed young coconut dessert and asked the cashier for their most popular drink--he recommended the Rainbow, so I added that to my order. The wait was over 20 minutes due to the holiday rush, but I appreciated that they were open when most places were closed. The smashed young coconut dessert was absolutely delicious, and I'd definitely return just for that. My husband enjoyed the Rainbow dessert--it reminded him of a Cham dessert his mom makes, which made it even more special. Despite the chaos, I'm glad I gave this place a try, and I'd come back again!

It's more like a little dessert stand located on the restaurant's patio area, with only a few outdoor tables available. The soft serve was okay, but not as creamy as I was hoping for, and it melted pretty quickly. If you decide to add a syrup flavor, I'd recommend asking for only a small amount. Mine came absolutely drowning in syrup, and honestly, the flavor tasted pretty artificial and overpowering.

Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.
