Normally I go to the Hayward location, but this time I decided to try this location. I went here around 930pm on a Sunday- Stall #4. When we decided what we wanted to order, we pressed the red button. After about 10 minutes an employee greeted us asking for our order. It's took about 20 minutes until our food was delivered to our stall. I ordered a cheesy bacon pretzel dog combo and my friend ordered a #3 combo. We were pretty nervous because of all the bad reviews on the food quality and service but they actually weren't bad! Both of our meals were hot, fresh, and tasty. What we didn't like was that we were basically trapped in our stall. The line for the drive thru blocks everyone in the stalls, which prevents them from getting out. Poor planning in my opinion . Overall I'm giving 3 stars because of the good service and food quality , but also the wait time for the food and the whole being trapped in the stall. read more

Used to like the sonic blast since they mixed it well for the Oreo cookie bits, but the last time I went, they barely put any pieces, so essentially your blast is "vanilla" soft serve only. Food here to me seems like it's "frozen" until ordered. You can taste it. I didn't mind since we would go for the blast but most likely won't come back for a while. Their Sunday hours say they close at 11.... I showed up at 10:30 just to order a shake.... nobody answered to take my order over the drive through. They ignored me straight up. While I totally understand being tired as a customer service worker myself, I have never straight up ignored customers a whole half hour before closing. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. They purposely ignored me, making me wait until 11pm when they were closed. And believe me this is only the tip of the ice berg, every time I come here, the customer service sucks, because it's either a wait time issue, the food is cold, or clearly miss handled, and so on. They actually brought a Sonics to the Pittsburg/Antioch part of town! Who would have thought? I always just accepted the idea that Sonic's is somewhere you have to drive far to to get. But no more! Parked at one of the stations where you can order and then they'll bring out your food. The interface was easy to go through. Just press a red button and you'll be able to talk to an employee who'll take your order. Once the order is done, you can pay by card at the station. The menu is pretty sizable. They got stuff from breakfast burritos to burgers to hot dogs to tater tots. A typical type of an array of items for a fast food restaurant. My family and I order the double cheeseburger, tater tots, popcorn chicken, and Chicago dog. Oh and a soda! We liked the food but we weren't going crazy over it. The popcorn chicken was a little too crunchy, and didn't feel like it had a lot of meat on it. The fries were nice and crisp. The soda wasn't flat. Thank heavens! The others said their food was okay. Oh, and the tater tots were the hit of the day! Would I come back here? I would only if I was yearning for some tater tots. A pleasant but not so memorable experience. 3/5 read more

Literally the worst sonic experience I've ever had! We pull up and there's maybe 3-4 cars in line and about 10 cars total in the car ports. Not busy at all for this new location. We order two drinks: Diet Coke and strawberry lemonade. Easy peasy drinks. Also: two small blasts. One snickers & one Reese's. We get the blasts and it is literally ALL vanilla ice cream and some little dust of the candy at the bottom. One came in another cup all sticky and dripping. Mind you we already waited fifteen minutes for our order. We were wondering how ice cream and two soft drinks were taking so long. Especially because it wasn't busy! I go inside because I didn't pay $13 for this. I ask very nicely for them to be re-made. Can I tell you how many employees were in there? At least 15!! I've worked customer service and retail...HOW was the service moving this slow??! I will say the girl who re-made them was SUPER nice and made them again how a blast should be. However it should have been done that way the first time. I waited an additional 20 minutes for this to be re-made! Somebody in management needs to step up here. Slowest service I've ever experienced... I went around 11pm so it was drive through only. I only had about 4 cars in front of me at the drive through line but it still took a total of 45 minutes to get 2 drinks.. As I tried to order, she kept telling me to hold so she can check. She didnt know the menu or what they had in stock. It also didnt help that she wasnt paying attention and I kept having to repeat my order. After finally placing my order, I wait and wait to get to the window. Takes a few minutes before Brianna opens the window for me to pay then takes another 5 minutes before she comes out and says they're out of strawberry flavoring.. I asked if she could replace it with a different flavoring and got attitude back for it.. Finally got my drinks (1 being wrong) and left. I didnt understand why it was so slow but once I pulled up to the window and saw 2 employees cleaning, 1 making food orders, and 1 watching the others clean I realized why. It didnt help that they were all un trained young teenagers with no manager on site. This location needs to get it together. Dont bother going until they sort themselves out. read more

Dropped by for their grand opening and they had it running like a well oiled machine. Probably because they overstaffed on purpose and that's always a good thing... Always! All stalls were taken and I was in a time crunch, so I opted for their drive thru service. That went pretty well, but their screen was malfunctioning, so I had to have my order read back. Food: if you're a long time fan, then you're good to go. If you don't frequent this franchise much, just as I don't, then I'd suggest sticking to the basics. They don't offer lettuce wrapped burgers, which can be a deal breaker for me as far as dropping by for my weekly (almost everyday) burger crave. We were in the area shopping at Walmart when we decided to get Sonic's. I've been asking my boyfriend to go there every time we go shopping at Walmart but he always said no. We don't go out this way often and we live quite a bit away. I ordered through their app. Easy peasy ordering, putting card information, and placing order. You drive to a stall, put in the stall number in the app, and the food gets brought out by an employee. They stuffed 2 burgers and 3 sides in a small bag. I wasn't going to pull out everything and placing them in the interior of the car just to make sure we had everything. I assumed everything was there and we were off home. By the time we got home and we took everything out of the bag we realized we were missing a cony. We looked at the receipt and it was clearly on there costing over $5. We weren't going to drive 25 minutes to get this figured out. Besides, they're going to lie and say we got it anyways right? They need to double check the bag before taking it out to the car. The long awaited Sonic's is open! 4 out of 5 for wheelchair accessibility.. There's a drive-thru and park to order and eat parking. I saw one handicap parking for wheelchair accessible vehicles; large spot. I don't know how the restrooms are or if they're offered to customers. NOW.... They literally just opened yesterday or today. They are slammed! And you have to give them a little bit of time to get the hang of it.. I didn't get any ice in my drink, I think they were out.. The cashier walked outside and took payment from the cars behind me while I was waiting (for three pretzels) This was not an understaffing issue as I saw more than enough staff to cover this load of stalls and drive thru orders. The lady or girl taking our order (at drive thru) kept rushing us in a way and when we asked a question she just stayed quiet while we sat there confused. Finally she decided to acknowledge us. We did our best to order all the way through but kept getting interrupted with "okay is that all?" Making us feel like they didn't want us to order much. Making the drive there just for that not worth it. They never have the drink they always advertise on commercials and have up on their menu with the nerds which is disappointing since we've come 3 times in hopes that they'll have it, yet to order it. When we checked our receipt, after the food came out, we found that the girl not only fought me on their menu but cant even put in our order they way we told her. Ugh.. Correct food comes out, but the mozzarella sticks are not cooked and the batter tastes stale. The we did not even attempt to eat past the first bite of that. We barelu toucher our food. I got a corn dog and that was the worst corn dog I have ever eaten. It didn't taste gross. The hot dog was so small. The cornbread around it was hard and stale as if it was reheated up in the microwave a few times. I could have bought frozen hot dogs from the grocery store and toasted it up much better than that. I don't like the overly small font on their menu thats already too crowded with confusing milkshake with cheesecake, etc or ocean water with an add-in flavor vs a flavored slushy. So I don't venture too far from an oreo cookie shake. Forget the fried stuff. I enjoyed the pretzel twist. My only other comment, why have sonic screens to drive up to when its the same as drive thru. It would be better if it was touch screen. The front cashier guy got my name and went inside, then came back and entertain another customer and another co worker out of duty. 20 mins have passed that I have to ask for 2nd time, he ask for my name again. He said is it doordash?, then I asked another crew to help out . The 5:47 pm order was finally handed @ 06:29 pm. I'm giving this review a 2 out of 5 stars for the food. Ordered a Cheeseburger, tator tots and a chocolate shake. The cheeseburger was small and cold. The tator tots were crispy but not moist inside. The chocolate shake was good but not well mixed. This is my first time at a Sonic and I will not return to any Sonic because the food was not worth the price. Too expensive. Went thru the drive thru to order and they handed me my food I handed them my card and I forgot to get it I went back for it and they said my card was a fraud card and kept my card I seen them swiping and swiping it they wouldn't give it back i gave them my food back and they threw it back in our car. This is the first sonic's in Pittsburg . I'm pretty happy they're here been because they offer different type of food. I like that you can either go to the drive through or drive up and park. We went to the drive through it was pretty slow but I think it's a staffing problem not an actual problem with the workers. The price is ok not to crazy.
