I was out this morning running several errands; my last stop was Costco to fill up. Across the street, there is Sonic, so I thought, I have the app, and drinks are half-off when purchased on the app. Win-win right? WRONG! I ordered from the app and chose my pick-up time ASAP. I pulled in, checked in, and waited for twenty-eight minutes before someone would make contact. There was one car in the drive-thru and two vehicles that pulled in after me. I finally pushed to red button to speak to someone. After another five minutes, someone finally responded; I believe her name was Antonia. I explained to her I have been waiting for thirty-three minutes for my slushy. Then came outside and was apologetic, then informed me that it wasn't made because they were out of the Blue Burst and if there were another flavor I would like. She recommended the cherry, and I agreed. I waited another three and half minutes before she brought the drink back out, apologized again, and then I off. I have been to this Sonic multiple times, and this is my first bad experience. The fact I sat there patiently waiting while I watched multiple staff members serve other vehicles, and not once did any of them stop to think to check and see what I was waiting on, is sad. read more

30+ minutes in the drive thru line. Had to repeat each item in my order 3 times, kept being told hold on. Then she asked "anything else?", Gave my last part of the order, then "anything else?" ...... So I repeated the last part louder and the drive thru lady rudely said "other than that?!" No confirmation of what my order was. And shocker, the order was incorrect. Extremely unsatisfied with the wait and friendliness of staff. Tried to order through the app, but it is the slowest app ever and would never load to let me submit the order. read more

This place has really gone downhill, unfortunately. I haven't been since high school, but I went recently because I had a coupon. First of all, the line for the drive thru was 25 minutes. When I got to the line and told them I had a coupon, they gave me some weird attitude. Then, which I finally got to the window to get my order, he asked me if I had two cheeseburgers. When I said nicely that it was actually hot dogs, he rolled his eyes and walked away. Then, I asked if I could do Apple Pay. The shitty stoner at the drive through rolled his eyes again and said, "We don't do Apple Pay" and before I could say, "Oh okay, no worries!" He closed the window and walked away. I wasn't expecting a free meal or anything, but it would have been nice if he had said, "Have a good night" or something after I just waited 25 minutes. Usually Sonic is great for shakes drinks and sometimes the food. The drive thru wait times here are atrocious, especially dinner hours. Be prepared to sit for over 45min in that line. I came here during lunchtime and there was no wait. Ordered 2 corn dogs, kids burger and tots. I live less than 2 miles from this location and when I got home to eat the food was obviously old and cold. The burger looked to be as It has been sitting somewhere for hours and the corn dogs were chewy. Last i checked corn dogs weren't chewy. The only thing edible here were the tots. I don't know if it's the inept teen staff there or just the quality of their food now but it's super disappointing. read more

What an incredible night at Sonic in Sparks supporting Solace Tree, a nonprofit that helps grieving kids, teens and adults (for free!!) as well as celebrating the Cain family who were helped by Solace Tree when they lost their parents way too soon. Sonic staff were handing out all their go to foods, yummy corndogs, jalapeno poppers (finally know where I can get ones stuffed with cheddar cheese instead of cream cheese), mozzarella sticks, and drinks while local bartenders served up tasty cocktails that were their twist on a Sonic menu item! And all for the good of supporting Solace Tree and, of course, an awesome Sonic Shake fashioned trophy! Everyone put their heart into this fun night and made it a great experience. If you haven't visited Sonic yet, do it. The food is good and the staff really care about serving the public. Plus, coming soon, Sonic in Reno across from Whole Foods!! read more

So I went back to the Sonic tonight out of desperation to get home outweighed my desire for a good meal. Got home with my "HAMBURGER WITH KETSUP, ONION AND PICKLE" to find CHEES on it. Like WTH?!? When I called, "Justyce" at Sonic she apologized and blamed it on the "new cooks" there. For real. They can't read the instructions? Nobody checks the final product when they wrap it? Rude employees As someone who formerly worked there I've had a straining experience. Selective employees have a history of bullying and when I did appeal that to the manager he blatantly ignored me. My mother who went there the other day was denied or service and was yelled at by one of the employees. I was also bullied by the assistant manager via Racism and microaggressions. I was also a minor whom worked here over 18 hours an week. I appealed breaks several times even when my ankles were bruised and my back was sore and I was only given 10 minutes breaks as well. They also don't use gloves at times and because I've seen it I would not wear gloves at times, but would get criticism for it even though everyone else was. There are also many who speak vulgar of customers as well. Don't work or eat here. Would not recommend it :) read more

When giving my card back he literally just stuck his hand out while facing the other direction. Did the same thing when giving me my drink and order. I worked here at sonic for awhile and i wanted to let everyone know the people here are good and genuine, everyone truly tries every day to give every customer fast and fresh food, some days may be harder than other. When posting a review, please be considerate because I know a lot of people that work here and they genuinely care to get the food out with great taste and friendly service. I will say there are times where the service isn't up to a good standard the GM there and the regional manager there along with the shift managers there wake up every day with the goal to make the store better. Ordered 4 double cheese burgers, only two in the bag. Went back and was given two single patty cheese burgers, and they were cold. I know mistakes happen, but don't avoid me like i did something wrong. Update: 8/28/2022. Only one of the 2 other burgers was a single patty. So in total I received 3 double cheese burgers and 1 single patty. Not as bad, but definitely need to check orders before you leave. read more

I don't know what the issue is with the chick taking the drive thru order, but she's f***ing rude, snappy, condescending, b***hy, and obviously gives ZERO f***ks about how she talks to customers. The girl at the window who handed us our order was fine. Probably embarrassed to have to work with such an unhappy girl. I'm not commenting on the food, because it's typically horrible as it is. Honestly, writing a bad review is not my thing, especially sitting in the parking lot of this location. However, the current young, rude, female manager on shift today really had the patience and temperament of a child. I paid via the Sonic app, paid with Apple Pay; I came to the pull up kiosk, checked in like normal and waited... waited. Since I didn't receive my food I walked in the store (which indicated was aloud due to a sign on the door saying so) I ask about my order and out of complete shock to me; the female manager didn't believe that I ordered it. I showed her the receipt from the app, my ApplePay shows the payment. She became very short, with attitude claiming they don't have the order. I don't think that's my fault?? She called out food to be made for me. I reassured I paid, and no one brought me out the food. I apologized for the inconvenience and reiterated I had no reason to lie. Then the she had the audacity to say back, " well, I can't respond rudely to customers, or I'd loose my job. So yeah, I can't tell you your wrong." Like excuse me, all I want is the freaking dinner I paid for. I have never had an issue with customer service from any fast-food restaurant before, until today. I also find it, unprofessional for the manager on shift having a wrecked up manicure with 2 nails holding on. Definitely want the leader of your store looking better than how they act. I'm sorry to go off on this young "adult" but seriously, grow up. And the food I got.... 1 out of the 3 things were right. This place is horrible regardless of the amount of customers. I pulled up to the drive through with 2 cars ahead of me and sat there for TWENTY minutes. There were barely any cars in the stalls. I finally gave up and moved to a stall thinking it would be faster. Boy was I wrong. I sat at the stall for another 20 minutes and had to keep pushing the order button because it would go off. It's not even busy. This is probably the worst service I have ever received, or not received actually because no one took my order. Definitely not coming here again. Don't waste your time. read more

To preface, my views are reflective of the management here more than anything, I don't really blame the teenagers who work here for having bad precedents set for them. Not a person who frequently makes reviews but this location has GOT to be joking. I used to work here so I am fully aware of how the order boards work. Today when I went to get my food through the drive through, I realized I forgot to order a shake. I pulled into a drive in stall at 7:35. After waiting until 7:50 without anyone taking our order, I walked up to the front door on the patio. I was seen by about 3 people but only acknowledged by one after waving like a crazy person. When I asked when our order could be taken, since the employee was standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE ORDERING BOARDS FOR THE STALLS and doing nothing, I was told that "the whole board is filled and i'm the only one taking orders." Okay, fair enough, but having been an employee myself i KNOW those stall ordering boards making a fairly loud beeping sound that will not go away until you take the order. If you have time to stand in front of the board, you have time to swipe your card and answer it, sorry babe. When I returned to my stall it was another 5-7 minutes before our order was taken. We then waited ANOTHER 15 minutes before anyone came out, and it was the same rude employee. Keep in mind that our order had been taken, it was one item, and the stall's screen indicated that Jaylynn had swiped for it and was bring it out to us. Supposedly minutes ago the order had been completed. I don't know if this employee was Jaylynn, but they came to our car empty handed and asked us what we were "here for." We let them know it was just the one item, they apologized and ran back in to make it for us. They came back and refused our money and gave us a large shake when we had ordered a small. That was super nice and I so appreciate the gesture, but this entire experience was ridiculous. We left at 8:20, meaning it was almost and hour in the stall just waiting for some sort of service. The old sonic motto was "out the door in under 4" not 45. Whoever is this stores general manager needs to step it up, an hour for ONE SHAKE is absolutely bonkers. Sonic at Los Altos, Sparks, in partnership with Yelp, held an amazing fundraiser for a deserving local non-profit, The Solace Tree. With a rocking DJ playing tunes in the background, we sampled some of the Sonic menu items like chili cheese dogs, jalapeno cheese poppers and fried mozzarella sticks. My favorite though was the corn dog!! A honey corn bread coating wrapped around a juicy hot dog, made a nice sweet/savory snack. The other plus was the menu inspired cocktail samples offered by some local mixologists as part of the special event. First place winner and my favorite offering was the Cheeseburger cocktail, presented by The Loving Cup, in Reno. Great job by Taylor and her team on this very worthy and fun filled event. read more

Sonic in Sparks at the Galleria..... awful. I ordered online and got to the restaurant 3 minutes before it was due to be ready. As instructed, I pushed the red button at one of the take out parking spaces and the guy said they will be out when it's ready. Just over 30min later the food came out. The girl came out and she was nice, apologized and explained that it was shift change, getting busy and the online orders were also increasing. By the time I got home, the food was barely warm. The onion rings were cold and they did not put in any of the condiments I asked for. The chili cheese tots were so greasy (literally dripping with grease) and cold, could not eat them. The bacon cheese burger had one little piece of bacon (see picture) and the burger was dried out. We hadn't gone to Sonic for the last three years due to the same issues. I guess we will not be going back. The management of the Sparks Sonic is poor at best. Sad. read more

Whats not to love about a drive in. You do not have to get out of your car, you order into a speaker and the food is delivered by a rollerskating car hop. I grew up with a A&W drive in close to our hous e, so i am happy they are still around. Located in the galleria in Spanish Springs, there are www uite a few spots to drive in as well as a drive thru. Deb and I came for 50 cent corn dog night. They were freshly battered, fried and were very tasty. They were not greasy at all. In the past i have had there burgers and fries. I would rate them as good or better than in&out burger. Definitely. Will be back w hen in the s rea an f2f need a quick meal. Tip: Bathroom on side of building. read more

However, since I've been using the order ahead service I like to tip the servers and there is no provision on the App to do that if I use my credit card and do not happen to have any cash on me. Jeez, how hard is it to leave the relish off the hot dogs? I've had problems here before getting food done the way I wanted. I came one day and ordered an All American hot dog without relish and their Coney Island dog. I checked the order before I drove away and they got it right. I came back a few days later and ordered two All American Hot Dogs ans requested no relish. Since they got it right a few days earlier I didn't bother to check them. I got them home and there's thick green stripes of relish down each hot dog. Sonic is better than your average chain. I especially like the drink choices. But it's things like the condiment issue that keep me from eating here more. read more

This place sucks. They have the nerve to charge what they do for a chicken sling (seriously) what you want to do is sling it across the parking lot. A tiny piece of chicken in a bun, that's it. Their medium order of tots is nothing short of a small order, they are under cooked, (raw) and very greasy, there is nothing crisp about them. We will never waste money there again. Neither will anyone else we've talked to. You say Sonic and people shake their heads NO!!!
