This Sonic is always out of something. ALWAYS! For me, Sonic is an ice cream treat. Guess what they've been out of for at least one full month? No Shakes or Blasts available here. There's a little piece of paper taped to each carhop slot saying, no ice cream, with no explanation. After this amount of time without ice cream, we have to assume their machines are dead and what, they can't afford to replace them? Another quirk here that's happened in the past: pull in, watch the video that shows menu items not listed on the regular menu, one of which said, make any Blast chocolate! On two different occasions I asked for a chocolate Blast and both times was told, all our Blasts are vanilla. This is disappoint/bad experience #3, which means we no longer go to Sonic. Luckily there's an original/vintage drive-in restaurant in Springfield that so far has always done right by us. read more

I needed some good ole Sonic in my life late one night, so I went to get some tots and a grilled chicken sandwich. I'm from the South and Sonic is everywhere, so I was very happy to find out that small but awesome Springfield, OR has a Sonic. I thought I would never see it out in the PNW. Anyways, I've been here twice now, and Sonic food never disappoints so I'll say that. It was good both times. But they do run a little slow which is why I'm giving it a 3-star. When you go to Sonic in my opinion it's not for the food, it's for the delicious ice cream treats !!! We have been seeing Sonic commercials for weeks and finally decided to come and get some on a hot Saturday afternoon...Probably a 20 minute drive from our house, we get there and there is apparently a " nationwide shortage" so they have no ice cream !!! Not only that but I check the Yelp reviews while I'm sitting there and there are reviews from WEEKS ago saying they haven't had ice cream. With that being said...The food was ok, we ended up ordering because we had already driven all the way there. Their speakers barely work, we had to repeat ourselves through out the whole order, pretty much screaming, their card reader on the menu board doesnt work either apparently. It asked us to insert our card, we did, it acted like it went through, but the girl who brought our food told us it didn't work, and that most of the time they don't, and we needed to run our card again. That was a little sketchy. I thought it was strange that within minutes of us ordering, our food was out....Then I tasted it and it wasn't hot at all, look warm at best. Train wreck. That sums it up. We pressed the button to order and nearly 20 minutes later we were finally able to order. They set themselves up, because by that point I was getting a little hangry. We ordered 2 of the "Tossed in Sauce" both Buffalo chicken. Received one Buffalo, one BBQ. I imagine the schmuck preparing our order must be a 12 year old pissed at the world for having to work and taking it out on the company and customer by means of excessive and wasteful use of BBQ sauce (which we didn't even order.) The boat of BBQ sauce had a few pieces of popcorn chicken sprinkled in the BBQ soup. (Maybe next time serve it with a spoon instead of a fork.) This was topped off by the lid not being secured in place. This led to a mass dumping of BBQ sauce in our vehicle that even the 15 napkins they gave us couldn't tame. Half a package of baby wipes later....I opened my Bacon Cheeseburger Toaster wrapping to find a burger in between two pieces of bread. My bad, the last time I had one it was actually toasted. My daughter had a grilled chicken wrap. There was one piece of chicken, no lettuce, and the tortilla was folded in half and crumpled at the bottom. Obviously, a Taco Bell flunkie is working the line. The fries, tots, and onion rings arrived mostly cold. (Others were eating while I cleaned up a sticky mess.) Even the mints are shitty. My husband was more generous and awarded it an overall rating of 2/10. I'd give it a 1/10. The 1 being for the cherry limeade that turned out to be alright. Every single time I have gone through the drive thru of this Sonic, the employees have been rude, and to plainly put it, dumb. They NEVER hear what you say to them over the drive thru speaker, even if you are yelling directly at the speaker. Food is almost ALWAYS incorrect, and on top of that, the wait times are never less than 20 minutes! Absolutely the worst place you can pick to eat at. read more

What a joke!! The food good but the management at night is woefully sad. this was the second time I have experienced this. I had a pickle on my burger but I specifically ordered without pickle I am allergic to pickles but this was fixed Not by the night manager as she was unavailable for she was across the street smoking another cigarette obviously her smoking habit is much more important than customers or her employees. As far as her management skills toward her employees it is again woefully just wrong! I asked the delivery person what was going on and she was yelling at one of the employees and she told me that because she is not related to that employee she can scream at him after getting in his face to do so anytime she wants. Apparently nepotism is the favorite thing here has those related to her can do the same thing and absolutely nothing happens. One particular employee wears a backwards hat reeks of marijuana and dresses like a slob but that's OK. her personality and management skills are deplorable! I stuck around for a while then witnessed a couple of employees who I am told were elated to this manager having a 37 minute break. Not the lunch hour, a "break". I wish I was allowed 37 minute breaks when I was a time clock employee. I promise never ever to go back to this sunny during the evening hours as the management is just wrong! One would think in this day and age when employees good employees are very hard to find because they just want a little bit of something and then go away why should they learn to have actual customer service when there's management like this? My sister and I are currently on a 10 hour road trip and we were looking for a place to eat. When we saw that Oregon had a Sonic, we immediately got excited. We added about an hour to our trip just to go 20 minutes off course to get to this fine establishment. We had fond memories of eating at Sonic when we were younger, so we gladly added the hour to our trip. Just to be clear, we aren't middle-aged nitpickers who like to complain. We rarely if ever leave reviews or even have overly negative experiences with fast food restaurants. We are both in our early twenties and fairly easy-going when it comes to food. First off: food was perfectly fine. HOWEVER, the drive thru experience was awful. Every interaction we had with staff was filled with uncomfortable silences, and the lady taking our order needed so much unnecessary clarification from us but gave none in return. For example, we ordered a side of pretzel twists ( which were on the menu under sides) but the lady taking our order claimed that it "might've not been a side that was available" then she checked with her supervisor if it was an acceptable side, then said, "oh wait, sorry," and then greeted us with a uncomfortable amount of silence. We inferred this to mean that pretzel twists WERE an acceptable side, which would be consistent with the menu, but upon receiving our food, we realized that the worker had replaced our intended side with a side of french fries instead. Due to the many many awkward silences and the unnecessary time it took to clarify what we were trying to order (to no avail) many cars began lining up behind us. This put pressure on us to try to get our food and leave as soon as possible. The girl taking our order misheard our drink NO LIE 4 times, even after we explained what we were trying to order in excruciating detail. We wanted a LEMONBERRY FLOAT but the lady misheard it as a lemon CHERRY slush, FOUR SEPARATE TIMES, and continued asking for clarification. Just to be clear, english was definitely this girl's first language, but her comprehension skills were clearly lacking. We finally decided that it wasn't worth trying to get the correct drink, so we settled for the lemon-cherry slush. HOWEVER, instead of even getting a lemon-cherry slush, we received a cherry-blue-raspberry slush. When we asked to replace the incorrect drink with the lemonBERRY float, the worker offered us the correct drink but with no discount. We were entirely flabbergasted at the sheer ineptitude of the staff, and now we're stuck with a cherry-blue raspberry slush that only tastes OKAY. read more

Great little classic American drive through joint. Their milkshakes are really good. The building is just a bit further back than the neighboring buildings, and there is just that one little sign, so we actually passed by a few times before we ever noticed this place. Finally stopped in there today, and I was very pleased with the quality of the food, and the speedy service. read more

Super bummed to be leaving a bad review but I have ordered food from here multiple times and hardly ever has my order been correct when J have received it but it's usually small things that could always be fixed. This time however I submitted an order on door dash and I didn't receive anything I ordered. The only thing that was correct was the receipt stapled to the bag. Sonic is a major step up from other fast foods. I love the super sonic burger, but I hate the price haha.....None the less, its a large burger that tastes much better than a Big mac or whopper in my opinion. It's not over loaded with tons of condiments. I could give two #2's less about the whole skating thing....I understand that was from back in the day, but they should leave it there. This location has lots of drive up parking to order....which i do dig....it reminds me of A&W when i was a youngster. Their food is regularly above par (in my experience) for fast food industry. Their menu offers a large variety, so there's something for everyone. Including their enormous customizable drink menu everything from shakes to cherry limeades. I ate at this location today. Well I tried to. I went there for lunch and waited for 15 minutes for a small order of chili cheese tots. I ended up leaving being late and not even getting my food because nobody has still came out. I push the button and waited an additional two minutes for someone to answer my call and then I told them I was leaving and left. I ate at this restaurant pretty regularly but I don't believe I will be doing so anymore because I am sick and tired of the cold soggy food and the slow service. Online search said Sonic has gluten free fries and tots - while trying to confirm and order she told me to hold on 3-4 separate times and then when I broke it down for her to ask if the fryer was only used for those items she said, "No we put everything in there." Not sure why sonic has all the hate with 2.5 stars. I stop here every few months to bring home burgers after work. Sure, it might be slower than some competitors but it's well worth an extra few minutes! We usually get tasty cheeseburgers. I think their cheeseburgers are better than even most of the sit down restaurants in this area. I love their moz sticks... they usually don't even make it into the house.... and I greatly enjoy their cherry limeade. I'm not a huge Sonic burger guy (pretty spendy), but oh those shakes! Just ordered a snickers shake with my little sister. So, so good. The shakes take a little time to make, so be patient, but they're well worth the wait! The server Isaac was exceptionally helpful. In a moment of weakness (and mental incapacity) I ordered two straws instead of two spoons. But when he brought our shake out, he had two spoons as well, thinking ahead he was! Food used to be good but went down hill in 2020. The ice tea was still great and worth a stop for. Went by there today to drive thru line out to street. I pulled into a carhop spot but didn't notice on passenger side the board had been hit. Left a nice scuff on my truck. Then pulled to another spot to find out of order. Paid $23 and got a couple burgers a couple shakes and large mozzarella sticks and every single stick didn't have any cheese in it plus they burnt the burger bun! The worst experience ever at sonic. Very disappointed and definitely don't recommend! read more

A great late night place to eat. Most days its open until midnight and the sliushes are great! The chicken wings are not that great and overpriced though(unless they have a special on them).
