It's a fast and easy experience to place an order and receive your food. The stalls face north and south so you can choose to park in the sun or shade all day. When you place an order, it asks you if you want to leave a tip we could not figure out how to say no so we just rounded up the change. We ordered two of the Bacon ranch queso wraps. The bacon and the sauce is very salty so if you don't like salty food, you won't like this wrap. The chicken is breaded and juicy and the everything was fresh. I had a sudden craving for a corndog while out at Busse Woods in Schaumburg, so my husband and I drove over here to get one, and of course decided to order a few other things to try as well. Pro tip - Make sure to order via their app as they have exclusive items you cannot get otherwise, like a Dirty Dr. Pepper which is delicious! They also have coupons, so we ended up getting the tater tots we planned on ordering anyway for free. The corndog itself was good. Nothing exceptional, but not bad either. What we really liked were the two other sandwiches we ordered - The grilled cheeseburger (app exclusive) - tastes like a Wendy's doublestack but on Texas toast. Very tasty! Philly cheesesteak - we weren't expecting it to be as good as it was, or as large. The only thing that would have made it better was a little salt, pepper, and mayo. I dipped mine in Sonic's signature sauce which is also very good. Tater tots - Good. Not much to say about them. Pretzel twist - I didn't eat it until later that day, but they are always good. And they crisp up nice in the air fryer. The cheese dipping sauce it comes with is good; reminds me of the old school cheese you could get with an order of nachos at the roller rink (showing my age with that reference). Completely absurd Me and my friend ordered two drinks a burger and chicken tenders. We waited more than 25 minutes for our order. Other orders that arrived after us still for served before us. Eventually, we didn't get served. Although I received my drink, which was a cherry limeade, but received a plain club soda, no cherry and no lime I knocked on the window, only employee sign and got approached by two workers and asked what was the problem. I said my cherry limeade here on my receipt is a plain club soda. They proceeded to go inside at a lime and give me the same drink, no cherry nothing taste like sprite with only lime. Don't advertise a special for the app and then turn off the special. I was told by an employee because they were overwhelmed with orders that they turned off the ability to order half price shakes through the App. I was then told that I could order at the restaurant but worked be expected to pay full price. We live in St Charles and drove 35 minutes because it's the nearest location to us. On Tuesdays they have 5 for $5 hamburgers and half price cheeseburgers. I ordered cheese burgers yesterday and they forgot the cheese on them. They got everything else right though! haha. Any how, I called back and got great service, instead of just reimbursing me for the cheese or just giving me a free burger in the future, they gave me 5 cheese burgers to replace the 5 I ordered that they forgot cheese on. Very happy about this great customer service! I am also happy because I asked them to mark the burgers so I know what is what and they made sure I knew exactly which was which when I got my order. The window girl even apologized to us for the wait, but there was only 1 other car in located within the drive-up area. There was literally nobody else around ordering food. So, I noticed that the new Sonic Drive-In opened up in my town and I was like YAY a Sonic! I had tried the Sonic brand of food fare at the Sonic in Bartlett and was like "meh" could be better. Tonight, I decided to try one of their foot long coneys.....mostly for the novelty. :) Plus, I had tried one of their burgers and wasn't impressed. I also tossed in a side of their famous cheese tots to see what all the hubbub was about. Complete my meal with one of their equally famous cherry limeades and that was my meal this cool Sunday night in Streamwood. Well, the foot long, was....okay. A bit messy to eat, but thank God for the tray they put it in cause I'd have had it all over my lap if I tried to eat it without the tray! I'd rather go to Portillo's down the street to get a "great hot dog". It may not be a FOOT LONG, but at least it will taste awesome! Sorry, Sonic. The cheese tots tasted like your regular ol Ore Ida tater tots with a slice or two of Kraft American Cheese melted on them. I kid you not! Nothing special.....with or without cheese...sorry the power of cheese did not save you little tots. :( Sorry again, Sonic. When I was all let down I tasted the cherry limeade.....maybe it would lift my already meh experience.....YAY! It did! Cherry Limeade ROCKS! Restaurant Review Drive thru check! Personally I have had great experience at Sonic in the past especially with the groupon package deal. We ended up getting the bacon cheese burger which was significantly better than McD, tater tots, mozzarella sticks, drinks, and even a banana split. This Sonic has the joy of being less than a mile from my house. I have been here a few times, but they have yet to really WOW me. Especially since they have a drive-thru, yes. Which is nice. But they don't ever have drive-thru times. For example, I just stopped during their "happy hour" to get three milkshakes--one for me and two for the kids, and I was in the line for 15 minutes. What?! I had no friggin idea that Sonic opened up a location just a block away from Target. I had to stop by and get my grub on!!! I love going to Sonic on a warm sunny day and having the carhop skate my order over. Alas it is February and its colder than a polar bears toenails outside...so I decide to just use the drive thru.
