Went today and by far was the nastiest, most terrible tasting double cheeseburger that I've ever tried to eat in my entire life!!!!!

DO NOT STOP HERE!! You have been warned. Stopped here without consulting Yelp because it's Sonic, right? Dependable. Ordered drinks and tots. Service was pathetically slow...maybe 15 minutes. Server never returned with ketchup. Drink order was screwed up. Tots were cold and tasted like old oil in the fryer - gakk!!. Never could use the restroom. I know, I know. I read the reviews before coming here but we are spending the night here and were very hungry. Everything started out great took my order brought the order, great. As we are passing the food around we were missing a hot dog, and an order of fries, no big deal told the girl about it and she went to get the missing items. Then we discovered that one of the hot dogs was missing half of the hot dog. It looked like both ends were bitten off and a one inch dog was left. I couldn't believe that they would even serve that. When we told them about it they seemed annoyed that we would complain about that. The hot dogs were all missing at least one ingredient. The taste of the food wasn't that great either. I like Sonic but this didn't taste like Sonic. Maybe it was the bad service that made the food not taste as good? read more

Worst Sonic ever? I think so! We were driving through (I'm sure that's why most people would stop here) & didn't want McDonalds. Hindsight is always 20/20, but what should have taken 20 minutes including ordering & eating, took almost double. We went inside (thought that was cool, never saw a Sonic where you could go inside to eat). But strangely, you still "call-in" your order via phone. 2 sandwiches, tater tots & a drink, they got the tater tots & drink right at least. But after re-ordering, they still got 1 of them wrong, so I just peeled off what I didn't want & ate it anyways. I'm not sure we'll ever be passing through again, but if we do, we'll NEVER stop here again! read more

-5 stars. This place is terrible. Might have to massage your jaw after eating their shitty chicken strips. Also the "toast" is just a folded old piece of bread drier than the whole state of Arizona. The one thing they did do right was the blue razz berry slush but I couldn't even taste it because of the oily residue from the garbage chicken strips and Tator tots. Can I put negative stars? Worst place ever. They forgot my order completely. Once I asked about it fifteen min after ordering and people that showed up after me got their food. It still took them almost ten min to make a burger shake And cold fries. Men's bathroom was out of toilet paper and the toilet had not been cleaned in some time. If you are ever going through Tuba City on your way to Monument Valley, do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plaque. The service is slow, the food is under par and the wait to have your order taken is painful. We ate inside and I swear it took them more than five minutes to answer the box. I was apprehensive about coming here because of the reviews but i was pleasantly surprised. Service was not slow and the food quality was better than any sonic I'd been to in phoenix. Everything was hot and didnt have that heatlamp taste to it. Staff was friendly as well. read more

Although I have been to other Sonic Drive Ins and all of them have really good food, I am just here to talk about the service in Tuba City. Why? Because they had the worst customer service ever. It is highly unlikely that you will ever go to Tuba City Arizona, because it is soooo out of the way from anything but if you ever find your way there, go to another place to eat. But just to warn you, I didn't bother staying in that town long enough to eat at another place. Well here is the thing, we didn't even get any food at Sonics. It was about 6pm and my friend and I were trying to find something for dinner, so we parked my car and went to the dining area. We picked our food and pressed the button to tell the people inside we were ready to order. Well we assumed they were still open because we saw about 4 people inside just standing around. So after a minute, they didn't even answer the call, so we pressed it again, then I saw one girl looking our direction and she started smiling, but still no answer. Then this dumb ass came to the window with a retarded laser pointer and started shining it at the window, and still no ANSWER! No one came to the damn door and said "Sorry guys we're closed for the day." Nope, they just stared at us. At least they had a smile on their face, maybe it was in fear that I would try to set that place on fire. Oh, and by the way, have you ever seen a fast food joint close at 6? Not me. So I think it was safe for me to assume that they were open, but I would have understood if they did close early just because it is Tuba City and they only have 12 people living there. Just tell me that you're closed and I'll be happy to find another place to eat. But what can you expect from "Back Road" people. I just hope I don't end up there again, but with my random road trips, I might see that place again, but I hope it won't be a while. read more

I'm only giving one star because I have too in order to review. This was the worst experience in a fast food place I've even had. I should have gone to yelp first. No t.p. in the very dirty restroom, had to take some out of the men's room that was just as dirty. The sandwich was cold and unpalatable, I had to toss it, and one of our cups busted and the shake went all over the place when we went to the door for employees only, they didn't want to come to help out. Drive thru is speedy unless its busy busy. Usually park and sit, our order is taken promptly and never have a problem with wait time or the food. Only sat inside a handful of times but not by my choice. Slushes and breakfast burritos are my fav. read more

Sonic Drive-In has sent me an incorrect or missing item twice. The first time it happened, I just let it slide. The second time, I called to inform them of the missing item. After trying to convince me that they had sent it to me, they told me they would send it to me right away. It never came, so I called again, and they said they would credit me for the item I never received. That never happened-- I was still charged for everything. read more

The other reviewers don't lie! The service here was HORRIFIC. Seriously, I had to repeat my order about 5 times before they got it right. Then it took a good 20 minutes to bring out 4 shakes. We were THIS close to leaving to go to McDonald's instead, and I sort of wish we would have. Dude finally brings our drinks, and doesn't bring change with him. Uh, fat chance that you are getting all of our change for a tip, but nice try. Then the drinks weren't even good. What a disappointment. Plus the place was grimy, we felt dirty when we left.
