Horrible customer service…read more I tried to order online. Said there was difficulty with their system and to call the restaurant. Called the restaurant and the number was out of service. Went to the restaurant to order. Asked for the correct number. The cashier told me she didn't know the number. What?? You don't know the number to your job? She says, "I just work here". Yeah. That's why you should know the number. I ask her to ask one of her co-workers. They don't know either. I can see the phone sitting on the desk behind her. I ask her to call me from the number. She says the phone doesn't make outgoing calls. Fine. I order my pizza. Ask for square cut. She says 15 minutes. I leave and come back. Pizza isn't square cut. She says, "I didn't cut it". Yes. But you placed the order. So you should have noted, the proper cut. I ask for my money back. She says I can't take the pizza and get my money back. Uh. No duh! I wonder how many orders she's messed up that she feels the need to say you can't get your money back and keep the pizza. I'm betting people left, not knowing their order was messed up. And then they came back for their money. This cashier is horrible. No accountability. Completely apathetic. Worst customer service experience ever. This is a small town. And customer service is often lacking because "where else you gonna go???". But this was beyond bad.

There is a restaurant, hotel and a giant gift shop in the building. The amount of amazingly beautiful handmade jewelry, pottery and accessories ... just mind blowing! Very hard to walk away from buying anything, so be prepared to spend some serious money here! Besides more turquoise jewelry, I also bought some Prickly Cactus Pear Jelly, and a Prickly Cactus Pear Marmalade. There are multiple cashier counters, so you don't have to worry about waiting in line for too long. The cashiers are very nice and helpful with any questions you may have. Taking pictures or videos without permission is not allowed! It's a great place to stop during your trip, for a restroom break, or shopping or just a scenery around the area.

We didn't have dinner reservations 4:30 at the Lodge Dining Room, so when it let up a little mid-afternoon, we decided to make a run for it and have a few drinks at the Roughrider Saloon before dinner. The bar has a little character to it, and was very busy the afternoon we went....probably because of the rain. They only had one bartender when we were there, and she only had one speed, so it took a while to get our drinks. When we did, we were lucky enough to find a table (there are probably 8 or so), and sat there for a while watching college football while we enjoyed our drinks. We also watched the bartender and noticed that she did not smile...not once. Oh well, we still enjoyed ourselves, and killed a few hours until our dinner reservation.

We ordered ice tea, it was right st our strength and color level, glowing dark ambee in the late afternoon sun. We added a club sandwich, and chef salad. I confess now that after eating half the sandwich and fries, we boxed the other half of the sandwich and the whole Chef Salad, but had strawberry shortcake while I had my usyal dessert coffee. They do not slack on portions and the strawberry shortcake is not overly sweet. A few hours later we finished our meal in Page. The salad fresh, with many green components, onions cheese, slices lunch meats. Whole wheat bread Club Dandwich, just as filling as at lunch.. An excellent conclusion for the day.

Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating despite experiencing a recent power outage right before the event. I try to make a point of tipping generously, at least 20% but I'm not really okay with someone helping themselves to a 40% tip. He came back after a few minutes of us sitting there (wondering if he forget or really took off with our change) and gave us our change- we still left 20% for him because maybe it was just a forgetful moment... My husband got the Bonita salad with chicken, which was so fresh and delicious. The mangos and avocados were perfectly ripe. I think the dressing was made in house; this salad was a champion. I got the arroz con pollo without the cheese, but I thought the sauce and cheese would be together. This, it came with the sauce. No matter, it was still yummy with fresh veggies and good quality chicken. We definitely recommend Plaza Bonita after a long day at the Grand Canyon.
