This is probably the most foul restaurant I have ever slurped at. The tots were crushed and cost $3.24. Our server, HAYDEN, failed to give us our change and we ended up paying $3.25! I am outraged. I would have been a millionaire he also failed to provide us with 2 mints. Instead his arrogance lead him to giving us only one. One good thing did come from this experience. (First time at a sonic and last) First they tried to give use someone else's food before we ordered, the person who took are order seemed pushing and in a rush, then they messed up on one of 3 meals we ordered they also only gave us 2 napkins never asked or gave us ketchup for fries and when I asked for some they gave us 2 small packs then gave me a bad look when I ask if I could have more the guy came back quick with 2 more. The also were advertising stuff that they no longer sell. The food seriously was the worst I have ever tasted. the hot dog was so over processed it felt like rubber and tasted that way too that did not get eatten after two bits by my husband, the burger was missing items requested on it and there was barley I mean almost no sauce what so ever on it, it was so dry lacked flavor, hands down worst burger I have ever had. My kid had strawberry shake and liked it, hubby had snickers shake too his disappointment the snickers was only on the top. I had strawberry cheese cake shake I too was disappointed you could not really taste the strawberry nor was there much to see in it. I think there wasn't any real cheesecake in it at all just an overwhelming taste of graham cracker. So clearly from my post I will not ever be going back here definitely a waste of 30 plus dollars. read more

I've been to Sonics a handful of times and it's usually just for their drinks. This time, I was craving something I had in Hawaii, a slush float from Rainbow Drive-in! The closes thing that I've found (beside going to 7-11, getting an Icee and then going to McDonald's to get some soft served ice cream) is Sonic's CreamSlush. It's their fruit slush with ice cream and it's pretty darn tasty. read more

The hamburger tasted like something from my junior high cafeteria days (dry patty, more bread than anything else), and the fries were cold and too salty. Chili dog was okay. Onion rings had no flavor and were cold. Eating in the car is tough. The sign says real ice cream, but the milkshake tasted like soft serve. Went to try them since I had never been before and got home with my order and the onion rings were almost black! I could not eat them at all! I was shocked. I have never had completely over cooked rings before. I called the place and let them know and I talked to the owner/mgr the next day and he sent me vouchers to come back again. Another retro classic! Sonic drive in just like Grandpa remembers... And me when I was really, really little ;) This one has a modern drive through as well as the classic drive in. No roller skating carhops, but that's OK. Sonic does have a good variety to the menu that you don't see at most fast food places save for Dairy Queen. Three words: Chicken Club Toaster. It's a breaded chicken sandwich with thick Texas toast. Quite delicious, but could use some ketchup. A big draw for this place is the novelty, there is no indoor seating and there are individual car stalls that you can press a button on the menu board and order through an individual speaker, and pay right there too. The other big thing they push is their drinks. From soda pop to slushes and frozen drinks and milkshakes, they've got it all and have a "happy hour" when they're a little cheaper. Plus you can have flavor shots added to virtually anything (cherry coke? vanilla root beer? no problem). Combo meals have a choice of fries or tots, and fry sauce is an available condiment. They also have a selection of hot dogs, some labeled "Coneys". They have breakfast items and their full menu is served all day, but in the morning any items from the rest of the menu will take some extra time to cook. I recently had a bacon and egg toaster, and was expecting it to be lacking in the protein department, but it had plenty of egg and plenty of bacon. Oddly, they serve orange juice over ice. You'll find a mint in the bottom of your bag as well. read more

So this Sonic location is the only one I go to as it is very close to my home. However, I am very disappointed in their service today. I ordered cheese onion rings (which are literally just onion rings that have sliced or shredded cheese on them, and placed in the steamer basket long enough to melt the cheese). They aren't fancy but they are my absolute favorite menu item ever since I worked at Sonic in Oklahoma. I was told that this location doesn't serve them. I am very unhappy that this simple request would not be accommodated considering that I have ordered them at this location on multiple occasions before with no issues at all. To make matters worse I was told that the manager has worked there for 5 years and has never heard of them. I understand it may not be a frequently ordered item but sonic has always went to great efforts to be a make it as ordered restaurant but in this case, that customer service was not shown. Even after giving specific instructions on how the item was made, I was simply told no. I don't understand why it's such a problem if I'm willing to pay for the item as requested. read more

I am a fan of Sonic. Just not this one. I haven't been there in several years, and tonight I was reminded why. The service was fine. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about either. The food left something to be desired for. The mozzarella sticks were rubbery and the popcorn chicken tasted like it had been sitting under a warming lamp for quite some time. I can't tell you how excited I am that Sonic has come to western Washington. I moved here from Kansas 8 years ago and have watched the franchises marching steadily westward. Seeing the commercials on TV was torture! I'd recommend the onion rings, grilled cheese (texas toast!), java chiller, blue coconut or watermelon cremeslush, and Pickle-Os (which the stores in the big KS don't have). Their new menu board are amazing! I'm so glad they went digital so now I can see what they put so I can make corrections. The I food is good as always the masterblasts are just phenomenal! The downside is I really wish their staff wasn't a bunch of brainless kids. Two stars off this review is purely for the staff and the service that they offer. How hard is it to understand that dry burger means no sauce but leave the veggies. We order our burgers dry because they put so much sauce on them but we end up getting a plain burger with just bun meat and cheese. Hands down one of the saddest places to visit. Don't waste your time. I lived in the south and experienced sonic at its prime. Now, I stop by here, and there is not one time where they have not messed up my order. A corn dog that's still raw? Charge me for bacon and cheese but don't get it? First things first, I love this establishment. Great tots. Usually I have a fabulous time. However today was a different experience entirely. Sonic is very far from my house, which is okay because it's worth the drive for the quality and brighter day. I went with my friend Lena who had just got done babysitting. We wanted slushes. A simple request. When we got there, Lena did the ordering. She ordered mine, the one I was bringing home for my sister, and finally her own. As they showed on the screen, we knew something was not right. There were two slushes and the final item horrified us Water +peach what do we do?? It was too late. They brought it out and rather than a delicious and refreshing slush, Lena got a cup of water with peach syrup. I'm not sure why they thought that's what she was ordering. Anyways. The food there is only so-so. Other than their hot dogs, which are pretty good. I have had better, like everywhere. What they excel at is their drinks. Going here, a fast food joint, for drinks, is like heaven. They have such a wide selection that it is almost not to be believed. I am totally addicted to their cranberry/grape slushy. Oh yeh, they have like twenty different flavors that you can add to their soft drinks or slushies. It would be possible to get a watermelon Coke here if you wanted. Not too many other places you could say that about. Plus you can mix your flavors if you want, like I like to with my cranberry/grape slushy. Also the variation in their ice cream drinks is great too. Last weekend I went and got my nephews a chocolate malted AND a vanilla malted. we have now tried dogs, burgers, and breakfast. in a word? unremarkable. fries not reliably fresh, but i can see the thousand-odd beverage combinations might appeal to some. when you finish your dog and find yourself craving one at costco, that's not a good sign. when you and your girlfriend don't even want to finish your breakfast sandwiches, that's a worse sign. i don't see sonic moving to portland any time soon, and it's just as well. never again read more

This was our second visit to this Sonic. The speaker was horrible, we had to repeat things at least 3 times. Asked if they would cut the double cheese burger in half, well it was cut, but not in half---one of us had about a 1/4 of it. Luckily, we're married so we shared the 3/4 "half". We had said NO onions, yep, still got some, kinda like they put them on then realized the mistake and scraped some off. The kid delivering the food was a bit rude, asked for fry sauce, he brought back one, asked for more plus some napkins---was told there were napkins in the bag. Really dude? We aren't allowed more than 2 napkins? He acted as if we were bothering him. If your server is named Darvon or something like that watch out. Fries could have been crispier. The burger was really good except for the onions. If you want friendly service go to the Portland one if you are in the area. Or don't get our server. read more
