Let's start with the positives. I was able to quickly place an order and pay for it through Sonic's app. I showed up before their estimated pick up time, checked in, and food was delivered to my vehicle about a couple minutes after the estimated ready time. Employee who greeted me was friendly and the meals (2 Crispy Chicken Sandwiches - BOGO in-app deal and 2 Grilled Cheese Burgers for $1.99 each) was neatly packaged in a paper bag. Total price of $10.45 for the entire meal was extremely reasonable. Unfortunately, the meal itself fell short of satisfactory. The Grilled Cheese Burgers' bread was barely warm and soggy. Burger patty size was what you'd expect from a $1.99 burger and it was topped with typical condiments like ketchup, mustard, and chopped onions. The Crispy Chicken Sandwiches, while appearing to be more promising, were clearly fried in old oil. There was a distinct, bitter taste to both sandwiches along with the aroma of old oil. The chicken itself was hot and outer breading crispy, however the off-putting taste and knowing it was cooked in old oil ruined the entire sandwich. While it was my first time eating at Sonic, I'd hesitate to try it again based on this experience. read more

Sonic is usually good it can really be a hit or miss. I came for lunch the other day for their burgers and fried cookie dough it was phenomenal. I decided to try their breakfast which was about average. The burrito wasn't warm, the bacon tasted like yesterdays bacon if that makes sense. The picture had scrambled eggs where these the egg was around the border. On a scale of 1-5 i give the burrito a 2.5. The cinnamon snacks however were delightful 5/5 loved them! Nice soft pastry filled with cinnamon, the icing is good as well. read more

Do better sonic! I went yesterday and sat in the drive thru for 20 mins with the girl coming to my car asking me what I ordered 2 times...I left with no food, I canceled my order thank God I hadn't paid a dime for it...I won't be returning. Culver's is much better anyway... read more

Out of all the locations in Tampa, FL this is by far in my opinion the best and my favorite location. I rarely ever have a problem with customer service or them getting my order right. All the employees are so nice friendly and respectful. Even when they're having a bad day they still have a smile on their face. The food is always on point which keeps me coming back. As a person who has worked in the food and restaurant industry I understand the roles and responsibilities and the conditions can be difficult at times. I come to this location all the time and no matter what the services and environment are always decent. Keep up the good work. read more

Two times the disappointment! Wanted to give Sonic another try, but their food is just not tasty, not appetizing or appealing and definitely not of good quality. Don't even bother spending your money at this fast food joint, there are plenty of other more satisfying choices in the area. So far, I've tried the hamburger, corn dog and chicken tenders on the two occasions I've been to Sonic. This most recent visit, was with the chicken tenders incident- first of all, what kind of tender is that!? EWW, that just looks nasty! Why would you even serve a guest that!? And look at this serving, this is the meal mind you.. look at the lack of fries. I mean just looking at these pictures is upsetting me that I WASTED $8 on this nonsense! Who would've THOUGHT in all years of living that I'd JUST now be trying out Sonics?! I mean I've always only gone for the Happy Hour Drinks & Slushies which are so good! However the other night after every other fast food establishment let us DOWN, we went to Sonics and that should've been our first choice for fast food! Now we know better. We order the Double Bacon Cheddar Burger and ommmggggg! It was soooo good!! But that's not the best part -- I also tried out the Fried Oreos!! I've made these before at home and was very surprised to see them on the menu.... they serve it with ice cream! Yummmmmm!! They need to come in larger portions -- there were only 3 in there! Placed an order for two cheeseburgers and a large order of tater tots. They were absolutely disgusting. The cheeseburgers were so cold they felt like they had been refrigerated. The tater tots was nothing but an extremely greasy blob. There were no individual tots just a formed mass that had taken the shape of the cardboard container. Could not eat them from the container and had to put it on a plate and eat it with a fork. I had eaten a couple bites when my wife took a bite of her cheeseburger and I watched her pull part of her bite from her mouth with a long hair attached to it. We threw the food away. There is no excuse for this. NONE whatsoever. The ticket provides a number to call and ask for a manager. Several attempts were made. Of course no one ever answered and so it went to voicemail, which didn't allow you to leave a message because the inbox was full. read more

This sonic is the worst location ever. I waited over 35 minutes for a small mozzarella stick and a Diet Coke that I ordered on the app. They did not put the lime that I ordered and paid extra for in my Diet Coke and did not make it with light ice as ordered. This is my first review I've ever made in my life, ever. So that alone should tell you something. Let me start off by stating I'm a huge sonic fan, been going for years, I'm also well aware drive thrus have their off days where they make a mistake, I get. Having said that, this location is AWFUL. It's the only one by me so I have no choice. EVERY TIME i go there, it's bad. It's almost as if they hire deaf people. That, or they need a new audio box. It's horrible. I have to repeat myself all the time. One time I ordered wings, and they gave me BREADING, it was literally crispy breading. They always don't have something I ordered and they take at least 10mins. So disappointing! We are from the Midwest and LOVE Sonic. We were so excited to find one in our new hometown, but after waiting a ridiculously long time for our order, only half of it was right. There was almost nobody in the parking lot but it took around 15 minutes for them to take my order and for it to arrive. When I finally received my order, something we ordered was not right but decided to let it go. When I got home, maybe 5 minutes later, the fries were cold and hard. Then come to find the milk we ordered for the kids meal was a month expired, another item we received was incorrect, and the meal had no toy. I can overlook certain things but expired milk is definitely not one of them. Be sure to check your order thoroughly before leaving. read more

I've been here several times both in the park and eat stations as well as the drive thru. They do a decent job with service and the food is what you'd expect from a fast food drive in. I've always loved the concept that Sonic has continued to provide over the years: the Drive In fast food experience from years past. Some of the employees roller skate and you can park your car next to a menu to order and eat in your car. This location is A-OK. Food quality is better than other locations and the employees are very friendly. The drive thru usually takes a long time though. My most recent visit was on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm and I waited about 10 minutes to get a Cherry Limeade when there wasn't a soul in sight. Maybe they forgot about me. We arrived at 8:18pm on a Monday night. There was 1 other car in the pull up lane. We order a cheeseburger meal, chicken toaster club meal, and an order of mozzarella sticks. We place that at 8:20. We sat there until 8:53 and were told that they only have 1 fryer going at the moment. 33 minutes for fast food? Even with 1 fryer that does not make sense. We sit a few minutes longer until we hit the call button again to ask for a refund. A man tells us to call back to get transferred over to management which we do and are met with silence. A guy is delivering milkshakes to the car next to us (which we overheard were incorrect) so we ask him to send out a manager. 3 minutes past, we call AGAIN. We spoke to a woman whose response to us wanting a refund was "okay" and then silence. We ended up driving off at 9:08, 50 MINUTES WITH NO FOOD AND NO REFUND. I understand times get busy but it logically does not make sense with the volume of customers that were there. Corporate needs to step in because now looking at the other reviews, they have some serious work to do. read more

This is my second time at the Bruce B Downs location this year, and the second time they got my order partially wrong. On 27Jun21, they mixed up my online order with someone else's, and then got my wife's order wrong once the mix up was resolved. We didn't complain because our past experiences at this location was pretty good. Today, 30Aug21, I made a simple online order. Instead of getting the Double Crave burger I ordered, they gave me a plain cheeseburger with nothing but ketchup. How can they screw up an online order? These people want a $15/hr minimum Living Wage, but they can't read and follow simple instructions. Incompetence should not be rewarded. We are reconsidering our business at this location. With so many businesses struggling during this inflation, one would think they'd pride themselves on providing decent customer service. read more

I don't know if I'm just being too picky... but I just HAD to write this. I reluctantly stopped at Sonic because it's the one of the only places I can get food this late at night. All I ordered was a corn dog. I asked for 1 mustard packet and 1 ketchup packet.... that's all I needed to enjoy my cod dog. The attendant stated he would put them in the van. I have to say the past few times I've been here I haven't been impressed but tonight changed my mind. The service takes a while but I assume it's because everything is fresh. My food was HOT and FRESH and very tasty and they gave me plenty of sauce. The shake I got was perfect! If you don't mind waiting a few minutes for your food I would definitely suggest this place. This location has to be the slowest location I have ever been to. They always seem to only have a couple of people working so it takes forever to order and get the food. The other issue is their speaker systems for taking orders are horrible. They either can't hear on their end even if I am nearly yelling the order or it is impossible to hear them on the speakers. Just this weekend it took me 20-30 minutes for them to take my order and give it to me. My kids love it so that is why I go there but something really needs to be done about this location.
