I tried Sip for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, and absolutely loved it! This is a St. Pete Beach gem. This boutique wine bar has a fun atmosphere that is so welcoming. You won't find any major labels here, because Sip focuses on sustainably grown wines from around the world. I wanted to try a lot, so I got a rechargeable card and used the machine where you can get 3 different size pours (a sip, some, or more) of 20 different wines! You can also order wines by the glass or bottle. The real steal is the happy hour house wines at $4 a glass! The owner, Christiane, is so fun, caring, and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all our wine questions, and shared her passion for the area and her small business. Been reading about this place all over the place and the reviews were really good so we decided to make the trip over to the beach. The spot is small but cozy. You can sit at the bar and buy by the glass or grab a tasting card and hit the machines. We took the card route and Sip'd our way through the options. Fun! Very nice staff and a pretty good selection of wines. Nice place to start before dinner or end up for a night cap. read more

This is a wine experience! Someone who knows wine well & has been in the food & Beverage industry his entire career moved to St Pete Beach & opened this sweet little wine & food oasis . They have an assortment of wines that you can taste or have a big pour. Get a card, and then pay what you consume or you can pre-pay card Or you can buy by the bottle. Sip is 1.5 oz, Som is 3oz, and more is 6 oz All prices are very reasonable, affordable. Great deals! 20 different wines in the wine stations at a time. Food is for foodies - artisan flatbreads, charcuterie with fresh cured meats and gourmet cheeses. They do an Italian olive oil tasting with fresh Italian local bread. My favorite flat bread is called the Taste of Italy with grilled marinated artichoke hearts, Italian tomatoes They even have a Chicago style hot dog. Another fav is their Buffalo mozzarella cheese. Great place to bike to, walk to or Urber/yelp Relaxed, laid back. Come off the beach for a nice glass of wine or beer. My tip, come here for your dinner starter before you go to any of the near by restaurants or r come here after for they close at 10pm and 8pm on Sunday. What a lovely wine bar and patio in St. Pete! I stopped by for a friends birthday, and we had a great time. The wine bar has the option to have a "sip" "some" or a full glass. They offer about 10 reds and whites each in various price points from old and new world. Each patron can get a card to self serve abs taste. Glasses range $8-15. They also sell more varieties by the glass. There is counter/bar seating as well as dining tables abs couches for a lounge vibe. In the back and on the side there was patio seating with umbrellas which was nice to enjoy with our small party. The owners are a lovely couple with hospitality experience and enjoy discussing and teaching wine. I think this would be great for small parties as well as time with friends or a date. The bathroom remained clean and parking was free in the plaza. Definitely stop by and support this local business. read more

Wonder FULL glass of wine and wonderful experience overall. I am thrilled that Sip has found a little home here in our beachy town. This was a more than welcome addition to the neighborhood. As far as "wine vending machine" style goes this is as good as it gets! While the options are somewhat small, its still more than enough for every palate and you don't feel overwhelmed. The space is cute and sweet but the back patio is where the real magic happens. It's a gentle reminder that you're at the beach, while still feeling a little more sophisticated. The service is always so friendly and accomodating without being overbearing. This really is the perfect little spot to wind down. Sorry, WINE down. Also peep their "clearance section" for bottles, even if you're ballin on a budget you can support local! read more

If you are in or around St. Pete Beach, you should definitely check out Sip. It's a quaint wine bar with amazing atmosphere and service. You will likely get to meet and interact with one of the owners, Christiane, who is delightful! We visited on not one, but TWO nights during our stay on St. Pete Beach. Enjoyed both the happy hour selections and did tastings. The charcuterie boards were some of the best that we've had. Will certainly make this part of our itinerary when visiting St. Pete Beach in the future. read more

If you are sitting in the Hotel Lounge bar overpaying for a decent glass of wine, catch an uber/lyft/cab and get over to SIP St Pete Beach. If you are a wine enthusiast you will find a fantastic variety of wines that is expertly curated by Christiana, a bay area wine treasure, who can patiently explain why each wine was selected and make suggestions on other wines that you might like. I LOVE when a wine bar owner takes the time to curate their wine list, I've tried regions I did not know existed and expanded my wine knowlege considerably since coming here. If you are visiting the beach and think you are stuck with the half-dozen wines on your hotel lounge (admittedly, there are some great wine lists on the beach) take a break and head up the road to SIP and chat with Christiana! read more

I'm so glad that I was able to experience this lovely open bar while at St. Pete. It was super relaxing and the owner really made our stay feel like it was home. Now I'm not one to drink that much wine but the food itself is AMAZING!, we had a truffle flatbread that was to die for (it was so good that it was gone by the time that I was gonna take a picture!) and the cheese board was such an experience. If I could give them 6 stars I would!! This place is such a hidden gem, and I ended up going back the next day because it was such a great experience!! My friends and I checked it out and honestly we're not very sophisticated in wine, but we had the best of time trusting Vicki's and Jean's suggestions. I mean my 2 friends who claimed to hate reds, exclusively were drinking reds by the end of the night! It's a fun and affordable way to diversify your wine experience, with their wine station technology. The ability to pour your own in different amounts was almost as fun as the people and the atmosphere. The food was amazing!! They have a great a great assortment of affordable appetizers and flatbreads. Also, the uniquely have hotdogs that are more of a gourmet style. I know what you're thinking.."hotdogs..?" Lemme just say, trust me they are amazing and so well made/presented, you will have no regrets!! Again, those friends who hated reds, also turn their noses up at hotdogs..and ended up loving them!! Finally, the staff. Likely the best staff I have ever encountered in the sense of caring for customers and making you feel special. They really do care about your experience and your preference, and will gladly provide suggestions and even additional options outside what is in the wine stations. The owner himself helped to take care of us and left us a complimentary dessert flight with a dessert wine...it may have been one of my best dessert experiences ever! If I could do them justice in this review it would be more of an essay. I can't thank them enough for such wonderful service and that unique touch that really keeps the customer wanting to come back!! Definitely the new go-to spot for a night out or a place to take visiting friends and family! read more

Such a great wine bar! They have a great selection of wines along with a few beers and seltzers. We also tried the hummus platter and the soft pretzel/charcuterie board. They were great snacking options & had a lot of thought into them and not so much a half ass put together board a lot of new wine bars have done. The mini corner with the chocolate cover thin pretzels with trail mix was such an amazing touch since a lot of places don't normally add that. Love the place and will definitely be back read more

Tried this place this afternoon. We did the tastings and got the cheese plate as well. We loved the ambiance, a small place but very charming. There is a back patio that looked very inviting but it was a bit too warm today. We enjoyed tasting the various reds and bought a few bottles. We started with the crab stuffed portobello (probably the weakest part of the meal) and delicious coconut shrimp. After that, our entrees came with salads, which were also great (tortilla chips and a zesty dressing made it more fun than your usual house salad, but it didn't feel too decadent). I got the snapper, which was served over coconut rice and with a delicious curry sauce and mango chutney. The curry reminded me more of thinner Japanese curry versus Indian or Thai, which I loved. The snapper itself was a nicely-sized piece and was cooked/seasoned perfectly with a hint of spice. The coconut sticky rice was so addictive!! The sweetness of the mango chutney just made each bite a wonderful flavor explosion. I would 100% recommend this dish. My husband got the coconut cashew crusted mahi, which was also excellent (and another huge portion of fish). It seems like you can't go wrong here with a fish dish!

This is a self-service wine tasting/drinking business--you can select different size pours that are dispensed through a wine tasting sysyrem-see photo. This "wine tasting" concept does not usually deliver a great experience--Sip is the exception. Christiana (owner/manager) is THE reason that Sip will do well. She is offering out-of-the ordinary wines that are not readily available in most stores, restaurants, or bars. These are smaller wineries producing wines with sustainably farmed grapes and wine making approaches that are unique. And, Christiana is there to provide knowledge and recommendations. The environment is cozy and still developing. The prices are fair for the wines being offered. The food menu is small, but with good options for grazing while tasting/drinking. Try the Big Pretzel Charcuterie--Outstanding. The Wine Club is a great buy: $40 per month and this includes $40 in tastings, glasses of wine, etc. with 15% off any purchase.
