You won't find any major labels here, because Sip focuses on sustainably grown wines from around the world. I wanted to try a lot, so I got a rechargeable card and used the machine where you can get 3 different size pours (a sip, some, or more) of 20 different wines! You can also order wines by the glass or bottle. The real steal is the happy hour house wines at $4 a glass! The owner, Christiane, is so fun, caring, and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all our wine questions, and shared her passion for the area and her small business. Food is for foodies - artisan flatbreads, charcuterie with fresh cured meats and gourmet cheeses. They do an Italian olive oil tasting with fresh Italian local bread. What a lovely wine bar and patio in St. Pete! I stopped by for a friends birthday, and we had a great time. The wine bar has the option to have a "sip" "some" or a full glass. They offer about 10 reds and whites each in various price points from old and new world. Each patron can get a card to self serve abs taste. Glasses range $8-15. They also sell more varieties by the glass. There is counter/bar seating as well as dining tables abs couches for a lounge vibe. In the back and on the side there was patio seating with umbrellas which was nice to enjoy with our small party. The owners are a lovely couple with hospitality experience and enjoy discussing and teaching wine. I think this would be great for small parties as well as time with friends or a date. The bathroom remained clean and parking was free in the plaza. Definitely stop by and support this local business. read more

Wonder FULL glass of wine and wonderful experience overall. I am thrilled that Sip has found a little home here in our beachy town. This was a more than welcome addition to the neighborhood. As far as "wine vending machine" style goes this is as good as it gets! While the options are somewhat small, its still more than enough for every palate and you don't feel overwhelmed. The space is cute and sweet but the back patio is where the real magic happens. It's a gentle reminder that you're at the beach, while still feeling a little more sophisticated. The service is always so friendly and accomodating without being overbearing. This really is the perfect little spot to wind down. Sorry, WINE down. You will likely get to meet and interact with one of the owners, Christiane, who is delightful! We visited on not one, but TWO nights during our stay on St. Pete Beach. They have a great a great assortment of affordable appetizers and flatbreads. Also, the uniquely have hotdogs that are more of a gourmet style. I know what you're thinking.."hotdogs..?" Lemme just say, trust me they are amazing and so well made/presented, you will have no regrets!! Again, those friends who hated reds, also turn their noses up at hotdogs..and ended up loving them!! Finally, the staff. Likely the best staff I have ever encountered in the sense of caring for customers and making you feel special. They really do care about your experience and your preference, and will gladly provide suggestions and even additional options outside what is in the wine stations. The owner himself helped to take care of us and left us a complimentary dessert flight with a dessert wine...it may have been one of my best dessert experiences ever! Such a great wine bar! They have a great selection of wines along with a few beers and seltzers. We also tried the hummus platter and the soft pretzel/charcuterie board. They were great snacking options & had a lot of thought into them and not so much a half ass put together board a lot of new wine bars have done.
