My family loves Shake Shack. To me it's just okay, BUT I saw their new French Onion Soup burger and it looked so good I had to try it. We LOVE French onion soup! We order pick up, I try the burger and... it's basic. It's the freaking mushroom Swiss burger just with crunchy onions and a sauce which honestly was just gross. It was too tangy! Enjoyed this Shake Shack for lunch after a long morning of shopping at the Tampa Premium Outlets, across the street. Even though it was closer to 2pm, finding empty tables for 4 adults and 3 kids was struggle bus. Took a while to settle in and receive our orders but staff were helpful and friendly. For a chain burger place, Shake Shack does a really nice job with consistency across their locations, and great / juicy burgers. Clean store, good amount of seating and excellent ease of access. This location has a few kiosks where you order and you bring a number to your seat and the staff brings the food out. Water is available at the counter (self serve). The only reason shake shack is in the same boat as 5 guys is because of their seasonal offerings. Five guys has better burgers hands down but shake shack has a good variety and fun menu items which make it more appealing to families and younger customers. I was about to leave when I heard the double truffle shuffle was out of season, but the gentlemen behind the counter sold me on this chicken sandwich. It was so nice I had to get it twice and it may have even been too good. I had the s'mores shake after which is what I believe sent me over the top. I would recommend getting two sandwiches with a water or one with a shake, but that's just me. It's a cool vibe in this restaurant but five guys just has a better feel. Shake shack in Wesley Chapel is finally open AND with a drive thru. Whoop whoop! It is located in the previous Wendy's near the Tampa Outlets. They hands down have THE best juiciest burgers and their shack sauce is so so good! The crinkle fries are always salted perfectly and goes well with a thick milkshake. Trust me. I recall my first shack burger back in NYC years ago and I've been obsessed ever since. My preferred burger of choice is the iconic shack burger which is 100% Angus. They do have a variety of burger options as well as chicken sandwiches and chicken bites. I was very surprised to see all the negative reviews on here and saw alot had to do with either the price or service. For fast food, it is more expensive than your typical McDonald's or Wendy's, but then again the quality of the burgers are better than the formers'. We ended up trying a couple burgers, which both included well salted crinkle fries on the side. The Black Truffle Shake Stack was definitely better than the Black Truffle Burger with the added fried, lightly breaded mushroom included in the burger. The Thai Iced Tea Shake would be a 3/5 for me and was too sweet for my liking. The lemonade options are better choices for drinks. Wait was a bit longer than I would expect a fast food restaurant (think Culver's), but nothing exceptionally long. We waited less than 10 minutes for our meals. I like the option to place orders at the kiosks upon entering. The menus were clear and easy to select and checkout. The best thing about this place is the burgers which are fairly priced, the milkshakes are out of hand with the pricing, and to turn around at the end of the order and ask for a "tip" is insane. Huge disappointment for very expensive fast food. $51 For 2 burgers, 1 fry, and 3 shakes. Shakes are 9nly 16 oz for $7 and are nothing special. Burgers are excessively overpriced and not very good. They tasted boiled or steamed. Bun was soggy. Asked for sauce on the side - didn't even get it. You order your own food yet they want a freaking tip. I do not get the hype of this place. Hubs and I paid our first visit to the long-awaited Shake Shack today. We ordered 2 Shackburgers, (no mods), shared an order of fries, and we each had a shake, his chocolate, mine strawberry. I have mixed feelings. First, the shakes. My only comment is too sweet, both of them. I wouldn't order again. But kids will likely love them. Oh, and the strawberry flavor needs to be amped up, by a lot. Next up, the fries. I have zero notes. They were perfect in every way. If given a choice I'll always opt for tots, because fries can be tricky. These were delicately crisp outside and like mashed inside, if I'm ever in the car and I crave fries, here's where I'll get them. Finally, the famous burgers. This being our first taste of Shackburgers, we had no expectations, except that we'd heard how good they are. And they are, but... I couldn't taste the cheese on mine, the lettuce was a lone wilted piece of green leaf, and the mayo in the Shack sauce was the dominant flavor, by a lot. The burger patty was great, nicely charred and bit pink inside, no complaints. The Martin's bun was smashed and flat. Still, it seems to me that it's the best of the local fast food burgers, with one possible exception. I haven't had a Sonic burger in a long time, but I remember being very impressed by it. So we're going to visit them next week to compare. But for now, the Shackburger (I'll have mine with extra cheese, extra lettuce and no sauce [I'll mix my own with ketchup and mayo]) wins the fast food competition, but not by a whole lot, given the price. Now for the sort-of bad - compared to some local casual dining joints at a similar price point, the Shackburger is a miss. I'm talking about the Classic Cheeseburger at Bubba's 33, the Scholarship Burger at Walk-on's and the Big Smasher at Chili's. At most, these will set you back $1.50 more than a Shackburger and fries. But they're definitely better, we both agree. They're bigger, too and come with fries. Hit up Bubba's on Monday and any burger they've got is only $10.99, including the fries (or tots!). At Chili's, you can get the Big Smasher on the 3 for Me menu any time, for $10.99, including fries, drink and an appetizer. The burger alone is worth that. Throw in chips and salsa and a drink? Yes, please. But if I'm on the road and don't want to take time to sit and eat, the Shackburger (with a few mods) will suit me fine. And I'll definitely have the fries. read more

The food was sub par at best. Two burgers a lettuce wrap and side of parm garlic fries for $60 I was anticipating a great burger like the ones at international plaza. I'd suggest going to Waffle House to get a batter burger and fresh food. Half of our fry's were room temp and gross and the other half were hot and fresh. Restaurant 101, give all of the same temp fry's/food. Consistency is key and they don't have it. No urgency and absolutely lackadaisical mentality. Highly do not recommend this establishment until changes are made. Should have just gone to Culver's and the food would have been much better and half as expensive. The chicken bites were greasy but tasted decent. The chicken sandwich was a deep brown color which to me seemed borderline burnt. I felt like I could taste the burnt flavor.
