His team was able to start earlier than anticipated and they finished the job under a time crunch to allow us to keep our original move date which I hugely appreciated. Beyond the timing and efficiency, Sonny and his team did an impeccable job. The hardwood we were refinishing was pre-finished wood which required a special sandpaper to refinish. Without any prompting on our end,Sonny contacted the company who manufactured the wood to procure the sandpaper without skipping a beat. I loved that he notified of me the issue AFTER he had found a reasonable solution instead of calling to just tell me the bad news. My first review was removed, I don't know how and why, he replied with bunch of BS, don't use him. My cat unfortunately damaged my apartment closet floor (like many guys he missed the litterbox a lot), and I needed to get it fixed before moving out. Sonny quoted me a very good price to replace the hardwood, and his crew were able to remove the badly stained floor and replace it in no time. They even made sure the subfloor was completely dry before putting the new floor down. I hired Sonny to repair a small area of buckled floor. After the completion of the job, the floor is still wavy and not flat. I was then told the floor was too badly damaged that the boards will need to be replaced to repair the issues. He should have let me know before I spent hundreds of dollars on the repair. The top coat of poly was not smooth to touch after it dried. I ended up smoothing it out with sand paper by hand. Unfortunately, I do not recommend their service. read more

Sonny was so responsive - we texted throughout the entire process which made it so easy. His team did a great job! The reason I hired him over the competition is because he really knows the product. I had to do some patching because we took down a wall and combined two rooms. With that, we had to match the existing wood. I though we had red oak but once Sonny took a look, he said "no, that's white oak!" He really helped me out but making sure we had the right product and that was before he was even hired! Sonny was wonderful to work with. He was literally a text message away when he first came and quoted me. I was getting quotes from different places he had the unbeatable price. He made the process so smooth. What amazed me was when I still had carpet over my hardwood he just stomped the floor lightly and told me I had great wood under it. Once I removed the carpet myself I wasn't too sure how it would come out and when I called him on a Wednesday he told me he would be there on Friday and man he sure was. We've just bought a house in Quincy Adam area and was looking for someone to help sand and refinish the floor. Update review: I noticed 10-15 tiny holes in the wood. I first called Sonny and sent him several text messages. He denied that it had anything to do with him. I had it inspected by a pest control company who said that it was not caused by insects, but that it was damage that probably occurred when the wood was installed. In addition, there were another 10-15 light spots, which I thought also could be insects, but was told that it was wood filling. So it was known that there were damage to those spots and they were filled in. They are concentrated on the 2 ends of the room, so I am assuming that the pieces were placed there since they would be less noticeable. The rest of the wood looks good but still not a perfect job and I wasted a considerable amount of time in getting the wood investigated. read more

Sonny and his team did an amazing job installing some oak floors in our house. They ripped up the old carpet and installed the floors, then sanded and finished them in the house. He recommended that over pre-finished due to the uneven floors/sub-floors in our old house. They were efficient, reasonably-priced (about $1000 cheaper than the other quote I received), and they look great!
